I thought you were supposed to be able to drive out into the big nothing
instead I go there and lose health until I die

What's that? You wanna unlock a car?
WELL DRIVE AS FAR AWAY AS FUCKING POSSIBLE
[editline]2nd September 2015[/editline]
AND THEN DRIVE THE FUCK BACK
So when can those of us who got the Ripper DLC actually pick the Ripper body?
My only complaint so far is the drop-weapon button being A, which is used for everything else causing you to leave weapons behind all the time.
Is there a way to tone down the HDR in the game? It's really aggressive. Your eyes don't adapt to the darkness brightness in less than 2 seconds, it's annoying. My only complaint so far.
That long trip was so fucking worth it

It bothers me how the black paint doesnt make the car completely black, it still has some white bits around which is pretty annoying if trying to recreate the interceptor [sp]yes I know you get it at the end of the game but you don't get chum[/sp]
Also no clean shaven face
Changed my post to make it more fun to find the secret yourself.
[editline]2st September 2015[/editline]
There's a secret around Chum's hideout. It's hidden in plain sight. I had to be inadvertently trying to take a screenshot of it before I noticed. It took me 2 minutes staring at it.
Slight spoilers in the sense that you're gonna find yourself really dumb for not having noticed yourself:

Look really hard. What do you see?
A more obvious shot: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/619597880743043823/0E5D82C484A457D5EA5631E315DD4B1CB468703E/
If you don't have the game and want to spoil yourself: [sp]The shadow on the blueprint is an outline of Australia.[/sp]
:mindblown:
Ok, so I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong or this is a bug or what, but does anyone know how to refuel the balloons? They've got a little yellow generator that looks like it takes fuel, but whenever I try to bring a gas tank to it I get no prompts.
Just two hours in and I'm spending more time trying to take screenshot rather than actually playing the game.
It's really pretty.

you have to stand on the yellow edge of the balloon itself and fill it there. the generator is just there for show

I filled the generator at at least one camp
Warcryers inside enemy camps are somehow annoying
You'd really want to shoot them down, but you have to get close to them to do so while their melee-oriented flunkies hit you with impunity

Some balloon camps require the balloon itself to be refueled, whereas others require the generator with the funnel on top to be refueled, and then a lever pulled to lower the balloon back to ground.
I found this picture accurately represents my experience in the game so far.

[sp]The dialog the war criers have after you kill everyone but them in a camp can be pretty funny, i kinda sorta feel bad for having to kill them.[/sp]
Don't know if thats a spoiler or not
Just thought about it, is the game running on the same engine as Just Cause 2? I don't actually know.
Are there articulated vehicles at all? Seems like they missed an opportunity to have Max hijack fuel tankers and shit by leaping out of the Magnum Opus and having Chumbucket take over driving to keep up.

i kind of feel like they missed out on that too. after fury road i really wanted to be able to tarzan climb around on a war rig and fend off boarders and all that fun jazz too, but instead you just get a glorified demolition derby. i'm fine with what's added but it really gets stale

it is. which leads me to wonder if it'll still run on computers three years from now since jc2 pretty much became unplayable for a lot of people after windows updates and videocard drivers made it crash every 30 minutes

I don't care about that so much. Mad Max Multiplayer. MMMP.

That is the exact noise I'll make if/when such a mod is made.

I'm imagining that noise in my head and its really fucking weird.

What if the Mad Max Multiplayer Match Making is Mediocre?

if so, may much malicious malware manifest on the mod-managing maggots main motherboard, meanwhile my massive member mutilates the main mans mother.
But you may call me M.

Photo Mode is good.
Aside from some quirky deaths (being rammed jumping out of the opus to grab scrap and get flung across the map) I haven't a complaint about this game, I especially love how you can see every location from anywhere in the map basically, seeing Gastown on the horizon is like seeing dead mountain in OoT
Not to mention it's been beaten to death but every game needs a photo mode.

[sp]honestly didn't like the story past the part where chumbucket runs off with the car.[/sp]
I'm not too sure I'm happy with this game, I know for sure if I'd spent the full 50 euro I'd be disappointed as hell.
I've completed the game, but there's so much to do still and so many upgrades, but it's all for nothing now anyway.
Not to mention it's been beaten to death but every game needs a photo mode.
And a video editor similar to GTA V.
I really hope they get to make a sequel because I feel like this is a great framework for a game but it just needs more everything. It needs a nemesis system. It needs the ability to get out of your moving car and jump onto another vehicle. It needs to feel more like the movies. Heck, the game doesn't even have motorcycle enemies. It's a good start, but it could be so much better. I almost wonder if it needs to go to a developer more ambitious than Avalanche.

The change from Just Cause 1 to Just Cause 2 was fairly immense mechanically, I'm sure they could expand on the formula well enough.
