might be worth noting that WB recently also put out Arkham Knight and the PC port is a stutterfest and still not patched, be wary of this game
Arkham Knight was outsourced. Mad Max is being done in-house. Do your research.
Here are the PC specs:
So basically minimum specs? Shit. I need to upgrade again already. I can't believe this recommends an i7
It looks good, but as many others have said, it's going to be overshadowed by MGSV as well as, Avalanche's own upcoming game, Just Cause 3. Avalanche have really shown themselves to be great devs though. Well, despite JC2 having a lot of essentially cash grab DLCs. I'd chalk that up more to Squeenix than Avalanche though. Who knows? This could be the game that I really wanted RAGE to be, only with a bit more of an action focus.
It's still WB Edit:
Arkham Knight was outsourced. Mad Max is being done in-house. Do your research.
Never said anything about devs, I'm talking about WB. The Arkham Knight thing is just one of the most notable in a long list of major fuck ups as a result of WB games
To be fair, publishers do hold the purse-strings as far as QA and post-release patches are concerned.

Jee, am i the only one who's hyped for this?
I'm more hyped about MGS than I am about this. I'll still check it out tho.
Well I'm hyped for both. But I gotta say I learned my lesson with AK and I'll wait for a review and to see if the port is actually playable. Maybe they learned their lesson too and hired someone else to make the port this time. [editline]17th August 2015[/editline] Also: The guy playing for the first half hour is shit though
sometimes i think i'm bad at games but that guy
Why do they always take some idiot who never touched a controller before play games to record demo gameplay like this anyway? It makes the game look bad because of that.
Publishers don't do game ports though. They publish them.
How do you misread this bad? I didn't say they make them lol. It's a friendly reminder that WB likes to make a point to ruin everything and the game is at their mercy. Sure, they didn't "make" the port but who's decision was it to outsource it and act like it was acceptable all the way to release? Who's decision was it to cut out challenge maps and resell them in parts as DLC? Who is currently in charge of deciding how much resources they put into fixing their broken ass game? Who has final say on pretty much anything involving the games they're putting out? WB. Yeah, avalanche is ok but the thing you're putting them on a pedestal for was with EIDOS and Square Enix in the position WB is right now. WB is also kind of more than a publisher since they hold all the rights for everything they put out and they're basically commissioning these games to devs like a movie to directors, is there a separate word for this? Avalanche does good work. The game looks alright. The only thing to be wary about is "How will WB find a way to mess this up". It's not like people saw this shit coming with Arkham Knight. Infact everyone kept saying "Oh it's x dev so you know it'll turn out great" there too. Every discussion I've seen around this game has talked about it, this one's pretty late into the announcement. But yeah I guess getting blindly defensive about a game overseen by a bad company that's not out yet is fine too [editline]17th August 2015[/editline]
Jee, am i the only one who's hyped for this?
Probably be an influx more hype if they announced the nemesis system with war childs
I really wish this wasn't coming out on the same day as MGSV. I don't have enough time to sink into both.
I really wish this wasn't coming out on the same day as MGSV. I don't have enough time to sink into both.
Yeah, I'm sinking a lot of dough into Fallout 4 stuff right now so if I get either I probably won't be able to get the other, and MGSV is a sure thing at this point.
I've got a steady job, so I'm buying EVERYTHING
After what happened with Batman AK.. I'm cautious with everything in terms of gaming.
I really wish this wasn't coming out on the same day as MGSV. I don't have enough time to sink into both.
The game's release date was silently pushed back to August 31. At least, on Steam it was. [t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/EBMT/11010101.png[/t]
words
wb screwed the pooch with one game. how come all of the other batman pc ports are fine i think you're just overreaching your negativity. it's unfortunate that AK was a disaster and is still highly unplayable on the computer but that was because rocksteady is a subsidiary of (meaning it's owned by) WB and WB cut corners on the pc port because they wanted their employees to be focused on the console release WB doesn't own avalanche. they're just publishing the game that they're releasing. they have no direct control over what the quality of the game will be like. if it turns out to be a horrible port then that's entirely avalanche's own fault, not warner bros. and that'll be highly unlikely because avalanche has always had a really good track record about having solid releases since they're passionate about making their games
It doesn't help that it's a post-apocalyptic open world game being released a few months before THE post-apocalyptic open world game.
What game are you talking about?
fallout 4
fallout 4
Oh, I see.
Arkham Knight was actually the only one I ever had issues with, and even then it was just performance, not bugs. I pre-ordered Mad Max off GMG for fairly cheap, I think it was $35. I feel a little mixed about it after watching the gameplay they released, since it seems a little monotonous, but maybe that was the player's fault.
WB doesn't own avalanche. they're just publishing the game that they're releasing. they have no direct control over what the quality of the game will be like.
For one publishers always have final say on major decisions about the game they're gonna be selling, especially when the parent company for the publisher has franchise rights. and for two all I said was be wary and follow the reviews cuz WB. I'm not being negative. [editline]17th August 2015[/editline]
tbh all the other batman games also had pretty crippling technical issues, aside from maybe the first one city had a pretty common bug that deleted your save origins had optimization issues and a barely functioning multiplayer, and they cancelled all later patches to make more dlc blackgate was just a bad port and a worse game
I think the only issue the first had was using GFWL, which WB probably chose. I'm not sure about City because I never had issues there Origins was not only published but also developed by WB themselves, probably blackgate too I don't think it's rocksteadys fault Arkham Knight happened the way it did
honestly i'm not too worried about mad max and dlc. i'm sure they'll try to push out tons and tons but mad max is definitely one of those games you'll play for a few days, beat and then come back to a few months later to benchmark your new computer parts so who honestly cares if they shit out dlc or not. doubt many people will buy any of it anyway
they've already confirmed 4 car chassis and 1 more if you preorder literally 25% more cars for preorders
*5 car chassis, not 4. it just seems to me like this game doesn't really benefit from having new car chassis added on later on down the road. mordor did the same thing with having new playable characters but they're just skins and don't actually give you anything new to the game
it just seems to me like this game doesn't really benefit from having new car chassis added on later on down the road. mordor did the same thing with having new playable characters but they're just skins and don't actually give you anything new to the game
The different car chassis have different base stats as I understand it, so different car bodies compliment different playstyles.
yeah its more like when Shadow Of Mordor broke the game balance by having DLC that includes some of the best rune drops in the game, not like the skin [editline]17th August 2015[/editline] The only game from WB publishing that has had "forever exclusive" preorder DLC was Origins, where its still impossible to buy Deathstroke. I'm not too worried about that chassis.
honestly that's not fair because mordor is piss easy. once you get midway through the game you're so OP nobody can hurt you. rune drops don't mean much when you instantly replenish all of your health when you successfully get a combo kill
