I'm enjoying the game but I can't help but sigh a little when I need to go across the land to tear down more scarecrows.
scarecrows are fine. Most of the time you can just do them while driving to other places. Either it's level with you and you can ride up a ramp to crash into it or you shoot a harpoon at it as you drive past and yank it down. same with snipers.
the minefields are admittedly kinda shitty. The first minefield I cleared I got the first two, then drove up to the third, forgot which side of the car max was sitting in, and watched him combat dive out right on top of the landmine.
i mean it was funny, but driving back there hurt.
I hate to say it, but so far this game makes me think of RAGE. As in, each individual component is really nicely made, but I feel no real motivation to go through any of it. The visuals are stunning, the combat is surprisingly fun and brutal, and vehicle battles are explodey and cool, but the lack of any kind of compelling narrative just makes me feel bored and unmotivated. It's also probably because I'm overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options set before me, to the point where I just opt to quit and play more Metal Gear instead.
I'm glad everyone else is enjoying it a lot, I just wish I didn't find it so hard to play it for more than 30 minutes.
Finally completed the game almost 100% (got like 20 or so challenges left.)
I did all the races after the story and some where tedious but it wasn't that bad.
For me the game was awesome all the way through, I'm the kind of player that just love collecting stuff so this was the perfect game for me.
Took me 52 hours so probably a few hours more and I'm done with the last challenges.
Probably the best picture I took while playing:

Gary Oldman is my favorite character.

Some of the stuff to do is a bit tedious but I'm honestly surprised at the scavenging locations. There's probably a like 50 of them in the game and they're all unique from one another. Special mentions to the camps which most of them you can attack in different ways.
It really feels like it's one big connected world.
Today I tried to play but the game runs like garbage today. I haven't a clue why and I've tried everything
what a pretty game

I kinda want the game and that price is not bad but I don't know if my pc would run it, plus i'm kinda fixed with TPP so wouldn't play it for a while
I went ahead and pounced on this deal. However, now a friend is telling me that the game could get revoked on steam or worse. Is that true? Or does it happen rarely? I did pay through paypal because something didn't hit me right about it. I guess that was a smart decision now.

Last picture I took before finishing the main story
It's been fun
I wonder what kind of DLCs we will be getting for this game. Hopefully it's of the scale of Shadow of Mordor's DLCs

What? SoM's DLCs were shit. I never saw one that was worth getting.
Good DLC would basically be a new worldspace with new stuff to do. Anything else would be kind of cheap.
this game is so fucking good
im getting a little tired of the hunchback though
i love chum's dialogue and voice acting
i just get tired of looking at his raggedy ass riding on the rear of my ~sick ride~
So uh, how do I unlock armor. It is saying complete a mission but I have no idea where that mission is, can not find it on the map.

"THE DINKI-DI NEEDS SAVING, SAINT"
his voice actor really did nail the character

Just keep playing til you get it. A lot of the upgrades are locked behind story progression.
Just found out you can open photo mode while looking down the binoculars, giving you a much higher FOV.
Here's with the binoculars:

And the default lowest FOV:

It does add a heavy vignette, however.

I have completed everything in Jeet's territory, completed all the stronghold upgrades for him. He will sometimes say he has something for me to do but I cannot talk to him.

You only get armor at Gutgash's stronghold.
A cool DLC would be one containing war rigs.
[editline]7th September 2015[/editline]
And a boarding mechanism. So we can board said war rigs.

I was sarcastic. But yeah
As much as I'd love to see war rigs and boarding sequences, I can't see any way to render them inside a videogame without resorting to a massive dose of QTEs, which would defy the entire purpose
We need a climbing system like dragon's dogma except you climb on vehicles instead
missed opportunity
really though it was the movie that introduced the idea of clambering all over vehicles, largely because of how big the war rig is, but also because the drivers were so well acquainted with their vehicles and the movie involved fighting on 'car-back' in general
isn't this based on the same engine as Just cause 2? You count mount cars in that? would allowing limited movement/combat on them be that much of a stretch?

Install all the upgrades except the missing armor for building the Jack. I had the same thing happen.

Road Warrior had it plenty of it, too.
Althought it would be about damn time I moved into my first major story mission in the Pink Eye's territory, I decided to grind a bit in the previous two zones first
This turned out to pay off immensely, since I both got the highest grinding garage update possible (and the difference in offensive power is REALLY noticeable) and I'm on my way to get the Road Warrior final rank or something

Oh yeah, I've upgraded Max to everything but Road Warrior gear, my Magnum Opus is high up as well, and my legend rank is almost maxed out. I still haven't built the second Archangel required for the story mission, only just went to Gas Town for the first time recently.

Thanks. I haven't had any problems as of yet either. I think it was mostly my friend psyching me out because he likes to do that.
Finally broke out the PS4 controller and used it with my PC. Im super happy with how the game is playing. When I played it on my friend's xbone I really wasn't impressed. Most notably the car had this really strange throttle issue where it seemed like I had to lift my finger off the accelerator for a second and then depress again, almost like letting Max shift up. If I didn't do this, the car would stay in first/second gear and go real slow. However, I haven't experienced any issues like that with my copy, so I'm really pleased.
