so i got into [sp]the airport[/sp] before i was supposed to and i broke a thing to let down a bridge, and now i'm there when i'm suppose to be, and the thing is still broken but the bridge was raised by a buzzard via scripted event. so there's no way for me to lower the bridge and i can't progress through the story, i have no other saves. pretty much have to restart. I went there after the wasteland mission there with [sp]the church[/sp] and decided to go to the big ass icon where [sp]the airport[/sp] is because c'mon there's a big ass icon. I couldn't go down, though, there was a pile of sand in the way. I wish there was more buzzard stuff, you end up getting only 3-4 major missions and a handful of wasteland missions.
the buzzards are some creepy shit.
I hate how nowadays lots of people see 70% rating as bad, with like, 80 being the minimum for a game or movie
its so fucking dumb

just fast travel?
fast travel fixes everything
[editline]11th September 2015[/editline]
Sure would be nice to turn off the annoying as hell blood/bruise decals on max too. it gets really old that you get hit once and you have a permanent face bruise until you reload the game
god forbid punching someone and getting covered in blood forever
By far my favorite thing to do is just to drive around and explore camps.
It's crazy that some of the camps are on elevated positions and the surrounding area looks like I'd be some other game's skybox (because it's so fucking pretty) but it's actually places you can go run and drive around. The sense of scale is amazing.

you can't fast travel further into the airport, only to the entrance.
I was gifted the game as a slightly early birthday present, but of course now's the time Steam has decided to fuck up and servers are fucking up tremendously. I peaked twice at 10 MB/s but ever since then it just plummets down to 70 KB/s and if I ever go above 10 it just stops downloading entirely.
God damn it steam get your shit together. I could have started playing the game an hour ago if it wasn't for steam's servers being shite.

You could download steam rip from torrent sites.
Has anyone had issues closing the game on PC? I have to end task through the file manager every time I want to quit.

Yeah, but it didn't end up being a major problem for me because I finished it in 8 or 9 super-extended playing sessions :v:
Ok, I can confirm it: the fist fights suffer a nasty difficulty spike in the second half of the game
Personally, I'm fucking sick of two enemies attacking me at the same time and the game not being able to decide which hit to counter, getting me damaged by both

Just roll. Also, getting perfect parries prevents other enemies from attacking.

Sounds like you're not rolling. Don't even try to parry if you're surrounded, dodge out first then start taking them on as they come at you from a single direction.
Just beat it. [sp]Yea the ending was a bit weak. The battle could have been a bit tougher if my car wasn't so over-leveled. Also, despite the fistfighting maybe not being the strongest aspect of the game, I would have liked one last brawl with Scrotus, just to give the final boss a little bit more meat to it. My biggest complaint would be that I felt the ending needed an epilogue. Have Griffa narrate where Max went, where his journey to the Plains of Silence led him, what happened to Gastown and the surrounding areas. Would have felt more like a proper conclusion to the story rather than it just kinda cutting off. Still, overall I really had a lot of fun with the game.[/sp]
the buzzards are some creepy shit.
I wish they were more plentiful than the Roadkill. There've been a few times when I've wandered into underground areas looking for them, but found Roadkill instead. I find the Buzzards interesting because they're so fucked up and so far from what we consider normal. They're basically the Sand People but with cars.
The other thing is I wish there were more crossbows. In Road Warrior and even in Fury Road, most people use crossbows. I don't think I've even seen a single ranged enemy beyond the guys who throw thundersticks.
I feel like they had to cut a lot of content for the sake of releasing on time and polish.

Not that the alternative is better.
Been playing this for the better part of the day. Fun game. Some moments really do feel like the movie, like shooting a hole in a gas tank only for it to turn into a mobile flame thrower, making it more difficult to take out.

Honestly, the Mad Max franchise has always had this 'episodic' feel with no real continuity so I'm totally fine with him [sp]just driving off, but the parts prior to that could use more fleshing out imo[/sp]

I'm waiting for my download to finish, can you guys answer me a little question? Can chumbucket ride along with you in the twelve?

Sadly no, he'll only ride on the Magnum Opus. But you deserve to know if you didn't already that the car from the film was salvaged, brought back to Australia and restored:

oh well, the rear of the car looked liked it had some handles for chumbucket to hold onto.
Well steam just downloaded 36mb
Yesterday I actually found the Twelve during the Northen Tunnel mission and, for some minutes, I transformed into Sanic

Draw your weapon, wasteland scum!
As I entered Gas Town for the first time I decided to speed up my experience in the game, given I've nearly maxed up all the components of my car, provided the materials for nearly all strongholds' projects and destroyed all convoys. Also, at the point I am in the general progression, lowering the threat level to very low doesn't do much for me
Gas Town is a very interesting location and I do hope, unlike Shadow of Mordor, the endgame won't be extremely rushed plot-wise
you can't fast travel further into the airport, only to the entrance.
I said fast travel so you can get unstuck. I've gotten stuck in a few places and fast travel got me out of it. I had to go all the way back to where I was but at least I was free
hopefully if they make a sequel they'll do it in true mad max form and not reference this game at all
not saying this has a bad story or anything, but it wouldn't feel right for mad max to have any really strong continuity
I hope so too because the story in this was delivered in the absolute worst way. you don't give a shit about anybody and the relationships are tacked on so last minute you kind of have to guffaw at a few moments. especially near the end. I'd be really pissed if they tried to continue on that and give him horrible flashbacks over characters that only said three words to him the whole game
mad max was always about crazy car action, sure, but it's also about him trying to stray away from what makes us human. the game tries to do that but you don't even notice because it's so irrelevantly placed in. There's like one great cutscene in the whole game but even then it doesn't build up any characters at all so when bad things happen to them you just sit there like "oh ok, moving on"
So is there a fast way to get to night in game? I have two side missions that require it to be night to continue, but i've no idea how long the day cycle is.
Just experienced my first storm... holy shit
