Yeah, I don't know what's up with it, mine is 21 hours. Does that mean it's really Sept 1st but thanks to timezones some of us are getting it the day before?
In north america, almost all 'midnight' Steam releases are midnight Eastern time. You could get it as early as 9PM the day before if you're on the West Coast.
I always hate the last 24 hours or so of waiting for a game the most.
I'm confused. The store page says it will unlock in 20 hours, but it also says it releases on the 31st. Which is true?
I really like that we can end up with more than one chassis for our car.

If you compare the situation: Metal Gear is a well established franchise with a large fanbase and has been getting boatloads of marketing (especially with the recent Konami situation). Mad Max is a new franchise that combines familiar elements (popularity of open world games, Arkham combat) while also resurrecting the neglected genre of vehicular combat games. It's also riding on the tail of Fury Road, which was a massive hit and brought the franchise back into the public eye, though there is still the stigma against movie tie-in games. Avalanche has also been getting some coverage lately due to Just Cause 3, and people excited for that will probably be aware of Mad Max's existence as well. There may even be a modding community, due to Avalanche's engine being fairly modder friendly in JC2.
Right now it's still up in the air. Whether Mad Max turns out to be a run of [url=http://www.rsgoldfun.com/]Cheap RS Gold[/url] the mill Ubisoft-style open world game or a refreshing take on the genre like Shadow of Morder. Nobody's saying it's going to compete with MGSV but that doesn't mean it's dead in the water.[/QUOTE]

When you say a game comes out on a certain day people expect to be able to play it that day. For me it releases at 11:59 PM, so I guess technically it does release today. But that's still fucking stupid.

No, but 12:00 AM as the day ticks over to the 1st does not count as the 31st of August.

Anyways, my steam page says 7 hours on it. I can play Mad Max while MGSV downloads! :cool:
Under an hour left for me in the UK, probably not going to get much done tonight but at least I get to have a nice look into it.
