seventeen goddamn hours left
Says 22 hours for me.

Yeah, I don't know what's up with it, mine is 21 hours. Does that mean it's really Sept 1st but thanks to timezones some of us are getting it the day before?
In north america, almost all 'midnight' Steam releases are midnight Eastern time. You could get it as early as 9PM the day before if you're on the West Coast.
I always hate the last 24 hours or so of waiting for a game the most.
I'm confused. The store page says it will unlock in 20 hours, but it also says it releases on the 31st. Which is true?
I really like that we can end up with more than one chassis for our car.
That's all a possibility, though it feels like it also has a chance of becoming a sleeper hit like Just Cause 2 or Shadow of Mordor. If you compare the situation: Metal Gear is a well established franchise with a large fanbase and has been getting boatloads of marketing (especially with the recent Konami situation). However, it doesn't have the same mass market appeal as something like Far Cry or Watchdogs. Stealth games are an inherently niche genre, and Metal Gear has such a bizarre and complex story that may put off newcomers to the series.RS Gold Mad Max is a new franchise that combines familiar elements (popularity of open world games, Arkham combat) while also resurrecting the neglected genre of vehicular combat games. It's also riding on the tail of Fury Road, which was a massive hit and brought the franchise back into the public eye, though there is still the stigma against movie tie-in games. Avalanche has also been getting some coverage lately due to Just Cause 3, and people excited for that will probably be aware of Mad Max's existence as well. There may even be a modding community, due to Avalanche's engine being fairly modder friendly in JC2. Right now it's still up in the air. Whether Mad Max turns out to be a run of Cheap RS Gold the mill Ubisoft-style open world game or a refreshing take on the genre like Shadow of Morder. Nobody's saying it's going to compete with MGSV but that doesn't mean it's dead in the water.
I really appreciate the kind of topics you post here. _________________________ www.4rsgold.com (User was permabanned for this post ("Bot" - Craptasket))

So, how can I use proxys and such to play the game sooner? [editline]31st August 2015[/editline] Cuz if I just wait, it will come out at midnight tonight
I'm confused. The store page says it will unlock in 20 hours, but it also says it releases on the 31st. Which is true?
The countdown.
I was looking forward to playing today (Bank Holiday woohoo!) but according to the timer its released Midnight/1AM tomorrow :/
I was looking forward to playing today (Bank Holiday woohoo!) but according to the timer its released Midnight/1AM tomorrow :/
Where are you getting it from that it was going to be released today though?
I've not got work until friday so I'm good for playing it tonight/this morning.
Where are you getting it from that it was going to be released today though?
Store page says it releases Aug 31.
Store page says 12 hrs for me which doesn't make sense
Steam store shows 6 hours for me
Store page says it releases Aug 31.
Which also has the hours underneath it. Seriously does nobody actually look at the number of hours until a game is release and instead just reads the date and is like, "Oh well that mean it's gonna be released 12:01 AM on the day, clearly."
It's probably glitched, seeing the release at August 31st 11:59:59pm or something I'll probably play for an hour or two before going to sleep and waking up to play MGSV haha
Which also has the hours underneath it. Seriously does nobody actually look at the number of hours until a game is release and instead just reads the date and is like, "Oh well that mean it's gonna be released 12:01 AM on the day, clearly."
When you say a game comes out on a certain day people expect to be able to play it that day. For me it releases at 11:59 PM, so I guess technically it does release today. But that's still fucking stupid.
hey man you asked
I know but I was expecting that kind of answer to be honest, it's best to have someone tell me what I'm expecting to so I throw the reply I've cooked up properly, instead of just assuming someone is going to say something.
I love my 17 kb/s Took me 22 minutes to post this
Your name is kinda like the reaction I'd expect to have, having internet that slow.
3 goddamn hours left
3 goddamn hours left
8 hours for me I think
Here's a little 20 second clip played by yours truly to tide you over: (This is the second time this has happened in like 15 hours. Its the only glitch I have encountered, its really polished and fun otherwise)
I love my 17 kb/s Took me 22 minutes to post this
That's 10 whole kilobytes a second faster then me. I'd be thrilled to get 17 kb/s download speed. Anyways, my steam page says 7 hours on it. I can play Mad Max while MGSV downloads!
Under an hour left for me in the UK, probably not going to get much done tonight but at least I get to have a nice look into it.
