Is it currently possible to add new objects to the scene and give them collision? I've been trying through the meshes tab in the library to no avail.
http://wiki.beamng.com/Spawning_Vehicles
This is impressive as hell. Honestly with a bigger team and so more time I can see this being used in every game ever. Depending on how hard it is to impelement that is. It runs decently enough for me and I have an average pc.
That would sure be nice but I'm not sure how many cars with the physics enabled it would take to bring it to a halt. Doubt it would work in something like GTA (which keeps getting mentioned for some reason) as lots of processing is required elsewhere in a game like that.
Managed to get a 59.50 on the rally challenge.
Looks like I can't drive 500 meters without hugging a damn tree.. How about some PIT maneuver? ^I'm aware it's MANEUVER EDIT- Also, a video showing the handcrafted levels that come with the alpha And the sequel of the video on the OP. And the latest
I must say, the video became so much better when I saw the HD tag. Stunning.
I get 40-60FPS on the same CPU but ATI 6950. Could anyone else shout if they have issues on Nvidia? Could be a Nvidia driver issue Also 8GB RAM, it did state you need about 8GB [editline]6th August 2013[/editline] Judging by these responses, could be an Nvidia issue, anyone with Nvidia cards like to chip in?
Specs: Core i7 2600K 8gb 1600mhz RAM GTX560 ti 64-bit No problems with stuttering or low framerates. I really need to upgrade my gpu though, if you just touch the monitor cables, both of my monitors will disconnect and I have to fiddle with the cables for a long time (there is a loose connection or something like that)
http://wiki.beamng.com/Spawning_Vehicles

Is it currently possible to add new objects

objects
I even made a video on how to add cars. Objects on the other hand have broken collision on spawn. Someone on their forums answered me though. Edit: i7 3770k @ 4.5Ghz w/ EVGA 660Ti "Superclocked" and I've had 60FPS even while streaming + recording on some of the messier maps. Edit: i3? lmao
gtx 680 and i7 here, doesn't lag for me at high
570 and i5-2500k, works fine for me on high aswell
i5 2500k @ 4,5Ghz 8GB of RAM 2x 6950 2GB in CFX Idiotically fluent, even when 6 cars are on screen. Edit:// Also friendly reminder, run your updaters regularly. I just launch the updater everytime I start the game and it pretty much updates at least 1 file everytime.
this is so fun with a controller, The physics need a little bit more grip but it's actually a lot of fun drifting around that industrial map in the little front wheel drive
i7 920 (w/ HT) @ 4.0GHz 6GB RAM GTX 560Ti Runs very well with no slowdown at top settings
I been having fun driving the cars around the small circuit on the industrial site, I noticed if you turn the time down by one IE press alt and left arrow once or twice it makes controlling the 80's sports car a tad easier, although, not easy enough... [t]http://puu.sh/3V7ej.png[/t] Me and corners don't get on so well when the car has a lot of torque. :v: [editline]6th August 2013[/editline] Also I'm running a AMD Athelon II X4 640 at 3GHZ, 4GB Ram ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB Runs nicely for me until I get 4-5 cars in the map at once.
Here's my attempt. 58:967 You can see a few bits were I could've been faster but I couldn't be bothered since it's a pain to check the time properly after every try.
My GTS450 is struggling to get good FPS. 20-25FPS. The i5 2500k is doing good, 30% usage with only one car. Planning to upgrade to a GTX650ti (possibily the 2GB one). For it's price it's a pretty good deal.
I am hoping for Rift support :O
Damnit how do you retexture cars, when I open the DDS in photoshop its just a white canvas.
Gah, the hatchbacks front axle breaks way to easily. :v:
Ok, so you've got the blank canvas looking one, "[whatever]_c". That's the one you actually edit. There's a few other files which actually show the layout/mapping, _s is the 'overcoat' AFAIK, but _n also works, giving a pure outline (bumpmapping I suppose). Take one of those other images and insert it as a layer over _c, then add another layer on top of that where you can make the car skin easily with the middle layer as a guideline. When you're done, remove the guideline layer and merge the top layer with the original blank one and save it.
So I noticed if you brake or accelerate far too hard with the hatchback whilst turning, the front wheels/axle breaks. :v: There are currently 3 of them sat around the track, two of which are broken cause of that problem. [t]http://puu.sh/3Vaja.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/3VaiP.png[/t] The second Hatchback in that picture didn't suffer axle failure, instead I took a corner too briskly, rear left wheel hit a rock and broke the tire. Which lead to me fighting back for control, and the front right wheel ended up hitting a large bump in the terrain, leading to a broken front right tire and ultimately it ended up going straight into the bank it is now beached on. This game is just so damn awesome, can't wait for the mods and future content updates coming.

i5 2500k, gtx580, 8gb of RAM, runs smooth like a butter @1366x768

i5 3570 gtx670 16gb ram 1920X1080 Hey, in the BeamNG Drive video, I saw mud. Where is this mud? It looks like rock island or industrial, but I cant find any mud on either.
Here is my entry for the time trial
