Is there a tutorial on how to make cars go really fast? I don't understand cars and how you have to config the engine.

Other road noises and crash sounds from numerous other racing games. I would add more stuff like transmission and turbocharger whine but I havent found a keyframed pitch modulator plugin for vegas. Very little of what you're hearing is actually ingame (but some still is).

You can create your own vehicles and modify the exisiting ones, there's a terrain editor, and the majority of the game's scripts are in .lua files.

Neither have extra mufflers either. On the police version, it just has these ugle ass rectangle mufflers, then nothing, just pipe to the end. Is there a way to set a camera for recording purposes? Like I can place it on the map and it just tracks the car from that viewpoint on the map.

I am about to start adding wheels to my 8x8 and it seems fairly confusing so far. I figured a wheel attachment point would just be a node I specify.

The game will load all the Jbeam finds it finds in the vehicle folder, if you have a slot in the main Jbeam (usually the chassis) with the name of the section contained in another JBeam file (for example wheel) it will load it from there. So you can have one Jbeam for each part, just by adding various slots. The section can also be merged into a single Jbeam file, instead of having multiple. Just look at the default vehicles, you can understand from them.

Driving in this is much harder than it is in real life, but I think it's mostly due to the complete lack of feedback from everything. There's no sense of speed, so you end up going into corners far faster than you should and dying a horrible spectacular death.
better sounds + oculus rift + steering wheel would make the experience a ton better. But you know, physics wise, I'm pretty sure this is unrivaled as no other car games take into consideration all the stuff this does.
It's good, damn good, but it still needs polish. It is still in Alpha though.

I want to see somebody upload a video of complete mastery of driving in this game. It's pretty hard for me to adjust to the drifting in this game, so it'd be inspiring to see something like that. Also, obviously already watched OP's.
Ive gotten pretty good at controlling drifts smoothly in the D15 and Grand Marshal, and a 12 year old with no arms could drive the Covet effectively. I dont play with the H15 too much, but its similar enough to the D15. However, I wont touch the Bolide. Im a keyboard driver.
