Forget GTA V. BeamNG is going to be released in less than 24 hours!

In the latest version of DrowsySam's Cessna the wings can detach :) I spent hours just flying it around Dry Rock Island, taking off and landing in odd places and crashing into things. It's really fantastic. He's working on a new update with some of the feedback I've given him.
So are there some modern car mods? I'd love me some 2012 Opel Astra or something like that

Camera still not redone? Getting real tired of it being "inertial",
I hope a 747 is in the works.
Sup.
Remember the Ford Crown Victoria I posted some pages before?
It's close to being done.

Still based on gabester's marshal, interiors are almost done (missing pedals and steering wheel).
As you see there are different part to choose from (Grille, pushbar, lightbar, wheels, exhaust).
Also released a video, with a clip that shows it in action (around 1:20).

Is that motion blur the result of interpolating frames on a video that's been sped up by a factor of 20 or something, or is it just some post processing magic?

Velocity envelope and resampling.

I did a motionblur test a while back
-never mind this post-
Finished basic Pigeon textures last night. Next step is to texture the lights and glass, and then model the interior.

That motionblur makes rolling down the hill look much more violent.
The new Covet Sport (the old one is becoming the Race since it has a roll cage and terrrrbo)

10 more horsepower, stiffer suspension, stickier tires, and 16" basketweaves.
Also, we just implemented realistic automatic transmission :) Manually shifted P R N D 2 1. It even creeps forward realistically in D.

Pigeon is officially done, barring any minor fixes I'm bound to make daily for the next 6 months
I am considering to buy this game, but I am confused, do I have to pay for updates now? If so how much do they go for?
Oh and the reason I am confused is because I saw you mention Minecraft and that people have to pay for updates, I remember someone saying that, was that even true at the time?

Whatever the plans are, updates are free as of right now. I bought the game the night it was released and they've been free since then.

You will never have to pay for updates. I don't know where that idea even came from. Buy the game now, or whenever, get all the updates as they come out for free. We might raise the price when the game is farther along in development (hint hint: buy now)
So I used a few of Nadeox's tips to make a little test video of crashes, those tips being:
FOV command
Smart resample for motion blur on sped up slowmo clips
Smoothed rotate + mouse wobbling to track cars accurately with a bit of camera shake

(the last clip is in 4:3 because I recorded it in the same session as the VHS video)
Any thoughts, besides that the last clip's shake might be a bit excessive?
Where can I find the latest version? (I've bought it when it just came out but I can't find a link anymore)
Where can I find the latest version? (I've bought it when it just came out but I can't find a link anymore)
There should be a link to the downloader in your emails, it includes an autoupdater.
Oh man, I'm so glad I finally got my controller working. I can finally truly enjoy this game, and I have. Hooning the comet around the industrial map is one of the most fun driving experiences I've had in a game.

That said, there's nothing objectively wrong with those clips except for the first and last where you can't seem to decide on a tracking speed.

I'm most likely not making a compilation so that doesn't matter.
The tracking is on purpose, it's supposed to look like amateur trackside footage in a sense. Some spectator with their camera isn't going to track a car like a professional camera crew, they're going to over and underestimate some movements and get too ahead of the car.

The camera looks more like it's vibrating in slow motion while also tracking the car near perfectly. The crash should already be happening before the guy with the camera reacts to it.
Those of you with a fast enough computer really need to try the sport of "Vandurance" where you spawn like 3-4 Gavril H15s, spawn yourself a Covet, and set the AI to "Chase player"
The best thing is turning sharply and getting the vans to all plow into each other and roll over from making a steering too sharply at the high speed
