Unless that's a typo, there's nothing wrong with the sound engine.
You know what I mean, the sound system, the sound setup, the lack of sounds - whatever :v:
Point is it's inadequate.

i dont think he's talking about the stuff you do, I think he's saying he can't wait till the game will be closer to that.
Yes. I replaced the single engine sound with 5 of them for one engine.
He meant sound engine as in the part of the game engine that handles sound, not engine sounds specifically. :v:
He meant sound engine as in the part of the game engine that handles sound, not engine sounds specifically. :v:
What I mean is that one sound alone is not enough for one engine. You need to interpolate between multiple sounds, which is what I made it do.
Also, none of this has anything to do with the sound engine.
The sound engine is fine.
[sp]apart from the part where you can't seem to pitch anything higher than 100%[/sp]

You sure?
Someone posted this video on the subreddit and the engine sounds seem pretty damn pitched to me.

Or did you mean 100% above normal?

Reminds me of my old RoR video:

Also, some new official BeamNG videos:

Since I just got myself a 360 controller, I might as well try BeamNG again. It should be much more fun.
Words cannot express how much fun the new Drag variant is giving me. Especially since it actually simulates torque twisting the chassis.

Managed to get all wheels off the surface on a launch.

im running a 3.5 i7 and a 980 ti and it gets a bit tricky to get a constant 60 with some intense crashes going on
Also using sun gravity is way too satisfying in this

Well I mean better than what I have anyway haha
I really miss the function, back from the good old days of RoR, where you could just drag shit around with the mouse.

You still can, ish. It freezes the vehicle though, so you can't pull individual beams.

It's not so much the individual beam i am looking to pull, but sometimes, i get stuck in shit, and can't recover myself out of it. Sometimes, what i need is, the ability to just give shit a good yank!
..and tear something off in the process
By the way is there any way to make the camera in this game not shit?
It annoys me and always starts wonking out.

... Wonking out?
:sex101:
... Wonking out?
as in, if i rotate the camera it always wants to affix at the point i stopped at before hand. I'll mod my car so ill swing the camera around the front side, bring the camera back to the rear and the camera as i start to drive reaffixes itself to the front side view.
I've never even heard of anyone having that problem. You can reset the camera with num5 or by clicking the right thumbstick anyway.

I have it, the camera is just extremely awkward in general.
The main reason is the lack of auto reset. If I'm reversing a car, it'll flip around the car. If I move it to combat that to see where I'm going, it'll be in a weird place when I go forwards again.

I never use the third-person camera, that's probably why.

you're already on the numpad, so why dont you just num5 when you're done reversing?

Alternatively, why don't they just fix the camera so that it works like it does in other car games?
I'm sure they eventually will. Right now the camera is far from perfect.
I doubt that'll happen tbh.
I doubt that'll happen tbh.
Why? It's a pretty vital thing. It's probably on their to-do list.
Why? It's a pretty vital thing. It's probably on their to-do list.
maybe it's vital for you, but I don't think it's a thing that many people complain about on the official forums, and once you've gotten used to it it's really not that bad.

Everyone that has tried my copy of BeamNG has immediately complained about the camera.
It's weird and wonky, and they will fix it because it's clearly a placeholder.
the 3rd person camera behavior is kinda shit right now and I don't know how the devs could not know about it, shit happens to it every time you reverse
