yeah the camera is really fucking annoying, last time I played at my bud's I got carsick
so I was playing once the other day and found that I could hit F7 and it would reset the car where I was but keep the damage instead of reseting the car now for whatever reason even if I hit F7, R, CTRL+R, it always just resets it to the original spawn point (F7 still keeps damage) so how do I get it back to just resetting on the spot I was at? I know it's alpha but nothing is particularly well explained

So i just noticed something, and it's only in the fwd cars. The engines torque twist, which is fucking COOL. I dont know if it was intentional or not, but I love it, not many games have torque twist modelled in.
I'm surprised at how well the control app works. It's more responsive for me than it is in the video

The Moonhawk has a dragster variant where the entire car twists on takeoff.
You'll also notice it in the semis if you really goose 'em.
You'll also notice it in the semis if you really goose 'em.
Those are total framerate killers for me so I haven't used them in ages :v: It takes like 3/4 cars to hit the performance level of one truck. That many cars at once is actually more beams than a truck at that point, so I have no idea why it runs so badly with one.
The trucks have actually been optimized pretty well, especially if you use the single axle one.
So the update (couple weeks ago I guess) added a new car, the Burnside, which is like a 1953/54 Ford Deluxe - as well as suspension noises and tweaks to the deformation, etc. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fYo72am.jpg[/t] Try driving the Burnside in first person on an off-road course, it's fun as hell.
Suspension sounds are amazing. It's exactly what I wanted.
The feedback sounds are one of the simplest but most useful updates I've seen. Knowing I have a flat (as opposed to trying to tell if the tire was flat or just clipping) and being able to hear when the suspension is at its limit makes driving much more responsive and easy to push the car.
Suspension sounds are amazing. It's exactly what I wanted.
Brake squealing would be slick too.
I didnt even know tires popping was a thing before this... like I never noticed them going off, but now it's often what happens first when drifting.
So how often is this game updated? What sort of stuff do you have to do? It looks great but I don't want to spend 30 bucks on something that's kinda dead in the water content-wise with no updates

I'm not really sure what they're actually planning to do with it :v:

There's a fair few environments and cars to play with. Spend the money if you want to support the devs and their tech, but don't expect much of a game - yet. (one of the modelers is a Facepuncher, too!)
Off the top of my head there's about 10-15 cars each with about 8 variants and 6-ish environments which are huge and have many tracks on each. There's also the bazillion scenarios which make use of different combinations of these, which are the actual game part.
The scenario where you have to destroy the moonhawk is frustrating as hell. I got it to 40% or so, then its bumper caught on my wheel well and it failed me for getting stuck.
The only way I've won that is to get it pinned and then ram it into submission with my rear end.
I just pushed it into the sign at the start, the AI didn't know how to back out properly, so I just got a bit of speed and smushed it. :v:
It's weird because all the others are fairly easy. The island chase will often win itself for you because the other car careens off the road into a tree on the first curve The truck chase can be won just by passing it, and watching it wreck itself trying to perform a U-turn. Then there's the police chase on the east coast where you just have to nudge the car off the road when it's driving along the cliff.
It's shit the Automation-to-BeamNG engine converter is out of date. I've been manually trying to convert stats from a twin turbo V8 with ~2500 into the .jbeam engine file of the semi, but for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to change anything ...

Pit spin into tree hes fucked.

Latest update also includes a new car chase scenario with the all american land yachts.
I'm getting shit fps (20-40) lately, and only 2/6 cores seem to be utilized to >80% and my gpu is only used 40% :(
