Huge new blogpost about the past, the present and the future of BeamNG: http://blog.beamng.com/something-is-still-on-the-horizon/
Well, they're definitely enthusiastic! Really cool to finally see a roadmap.
My current record on the updated Canyon of Speed is still DNF.
will it go on sale this summer sale?

Having bought a good wheel, BeamNG had become a completely different game. You start to appreciate how accurate the physics actually are compared to a real car. With the controller they felt more like light tin toys that skid too much.

Additionally, not flinching when you should will also send you careening off the road.
In this video I recorded, if you watch the Steering Input at the bottom (barely visible above the blue pedal inputs in the center), you would be reasonable in believing that I didn't steer at all. If you watch the steering wheel however, you will see minute movements too small to register on the 100- point scale that are keeping the car on the road. It's amazing how much fidelity of motion comes into play when compared to Dirt: Rally and even Assetto Corsa, in which I am frequently veering the wheel left and right even on the smallest of turns.
Just picked up a G27... So excited to finally swap over from using the X360 controller. Drifting will become so much easier!

Other people with G27s, what hardware settings do you use for this game? I got: I know Dirt 3 and some other racing games will adjust the degrees of rotation depending on the vehicle your driving, even when system settings is at 900. BeamNG doesn't seem to do that. You can select racing steering or stock, doesn't change the degrees of rotation. What you got/ what would you recommend me change?
I always change the degree of rotation manually to whatever the car I'm using has. Otherwise the settings are just like mine
i'm on a g25, i use those settings too, changing degrees constantly is too much work so I just keep it at 900.
This game needs some Group B rally racers, like the Stradale.

We should organize some time trials.
We should organize some time trials.
I'm up for anything.
I think I'd join up too.
Man, it would be so damn badass, if the Automation engine conversion tool would be updated again, so we could even make custom engines for BeamNG.
Imagine that + engine sound simulation. Like, instead of using simple pre-recorded sounds, it'd simulate the sound at a deeper level.
It is my dream to play this game in VR with a racing wheel, pedals, and stick shift. Just imagine how satisfying it would feel to explore the islands.
Man, it would be so damn badass, if the Automation engine conversion tool would be updated again, so we could even make custom engines for BeamNG.
there's a pretty simple way to do it, somebody made a new "converter", all it really does is give you the torque curve from the automation engine and you can plop it into a jbeam either overwriting another or as a new engine. :snip: WRONG THREAD AGAIN AAAAH
Replay system I know what I'll be doing the next few years [editline]23rd July 2016[/editline] Aw shit it doesn't allow for proper slow motion in post.
Every beamng update is great. This game keeps on giving.
The ETK I Series is awesome.
I love how they made braking efficiency differ with time of day.
The ETK I Series is awesome.
except it weighs like 1500kg, like what in the fuck.
except it weighs like 1500kg, like what in the fuck.
That's about what a 1 series BMW weighs
