that greed mask is pretty cool, and the descriptions are pretty well written.
[sp]the envy mask is... social commentary?[/sp]
the heist is cool and unique, as the halloween ones tend to be. i'm a bit peeved that they used the worst mechanic they've introduced as the foundation for it, but it is what it is
Man, props to overkill for making the lust mask a horny dude and not just some sexy lady.
They truly are the wokest developers.
New track's files + my version of it, if you're interested and can't bother with unpacking:

Oh, and might as well drop Left in the Cold + IWGYMA 2017's files here:

An easy way to make yourself go insane is trying to imagine seeing out of like, literally any of the payday masks
Slimy zombie cops in the new heist!

A horny man instead of a nude woman like in Dante's Inferno, I might say.
FBI files now have information on Locke and the Crimefest heists, seems they are just as in the dark about the whole thing.
Something odd went down on a snowy evening at a deserted dockyard near Anchorage, Alaska. Observations by local authorities flagged an appearance in the area by known mercenary Vernon Locke, though the exact nature of his potential involvement remain unclear. Law enforcement survivors on the ground report possible Payday operatives leaving the area on a cargo ship that proved to be untraceable. The incident file remains open, pending further information.
My Notes: Something is coming to a head, but I don’t yet know what. I can’t see how all the threads connect yet, but I know they are all laid out. After the Alaska event, rumors abound in the underworld of betrayal, but I haven’t been able to confirm anything. It’s damned frustrating.
How can they not know what's going on when there were cops with him waiting for us?
Just played the Cursed Kill Room. Holy fuck, it's so good for a heist that's supposed to be a seasonal exclusive. 8Bits Are Scary is basically Clowns Are Scary done right, and it also fits the frantic and chaotic atmosphere of the heist. There may be no lore development or high effort (at first glance, at least. I don't know how much effort actually went into this), but the Cursed Kill Room is simply fun.
Here's hoping that it gets the Lab Rats treatment and stays as a permanent addition.

Those guys were not really cops (like that HYDRA trick from the Winter Soldier movie)?

The actual texturing is pretty bad, to say the least:

They pasted actual photos over some of the faces :v:
Baby's first texture mod.

all the more reason this shit should be retroactively updated to have a murkywater faction

Don't forget that they were supposed to have unique VO but it didn't make the cut.
There may be no lore development or high effort (at first glance, at least. I don't know how much effort actually went into this)
Judging from the entirely missing zombie cop VO, asset re-usage, and numerous scrapped events (Taser drones, anyone?), this was probably a fairly rushed heist.
But hey, at least it doesn't have performance issues.

Out of curiosity have you ever compiled a list or depot of all the cut content you've come across over the years?
The Garnet Building is one of the most prominent business centers in the DC area and the crown jewel in CEO Mr. Nathan Garnet’s business empire. Long rumored among high society (and criminals) in Washington to house Garnet’s personal fortune reserve of diamonds, the building has been a viable target for gangs like Payday to hit, and as recent events have shown, those suspicions were founded on very solid ground. Since it was hit, Garnet stock has plummeted, and speculations have arisen as to whether the Garnet Group can survive without reconstruction. At the time of writing this entry, the secretive Mr. Garnet has not made any personal (or public) announcements regarding the incident.
Well, I think who wrote this didn't notice the New York skyline around (since PDTH)...
Is it just me or did they update the FBI sketches for Scarface and Sangres? I can't tell if it's one of my mods doing it.

First World Bank is also stated to take place in Washington DC despite the police cars all saying NYPD.

That's a bit silly. You can never see a Medic's face under his goggles.
Also is it just me or the zombie cops very shiny? Did Overkill save the textures at 255/255 alpha?
Alpha value decides shine. Eg metals are high alpha, clothing is low.

The alpha on the zombie textures is really bad for some reason, as if it was someone's first reskin attempt:

oh that explains why they look frostbit and/or covered in dry slobber

no wonder its probably the worst heist Ive played

Nope, I see it too. Take a look people!

That's kinda lame. I preferred the actual sketches to these new ones.
It's like they just ran one of those pencil like filters from photoshop.
why would a police sketch artist shade the face from a profile light source
It's like they just ran one of those pencil like filters from photoshop.
The artist got lazy perhaps, so they decided to just use 3D models with overlays? That's why Jacket's FBI sketch still looks like this:

…When he now looks like this:
