I managed to come up with an experimental build that doesn't require Molotovs and uses Frenzy instead, has all of the essentials for stealth, and manages to stay under 3 concealment with a powerful, silent, accurate weapon for picking off guards or killing cameras and a silent shotgun while still using Team Boosts on both.

I haven't actually tested this yet so I have no idea if it's worth it over Burglar (I believe that lockpicking speed and pager answering speed is a big deal and the 30% health you start with may not be enough to make it worthwhile), but it should give you the fastest natural speed on any stealth heist without needing to damage yourself while still covering every base needed.

now that you mention it, the close by ACED skill doesnt increase the GSPS mag (as seen in PD2tools anyway)
but its still a bit different than the loco, i never had ammo problems with loco, but GSPS seems to have a bad pickup rate

The GSPS does more damage, it's like a secondary Mosconi.
In one of my first games after the update a teammate bot picked up a bag, but this hasn't happened again.
What's going on?

If they visibly ducked down and picked it up like Cops do, then the host was likely running 'MonKeepers' mod. An extension of Keepers that allows Bots to pick up bags and go toss them somewhere else.
This happened again in the game I was just in. I don't have mods.

How do you get the safe house nightmare achievements. Do you need to get the correct baby mask on the first try, or not?

Myself, I think that should be a feature for solo players so they don't have to constantly walk back and forth. It's especially notable during bank heists (puns are fun).

The only way vanilla bots will carry bags is if you throw them one
If you throw bags at bots nowadays, they should carry them if it hits correctly

Bags can be thrown at bots, in which case they will start carrying them until shouted at, or until the bag is picked up off their back.
The first four difficulties on Safehouse Nightmare require that you or a teammate pick up a mask in the safehouse at the end of the heist- note that there is one correct mask and some fakes, pick them up until you get the right one.
The later three difficulties just require completing the heist.
Completing a higher difficulty on safehouse nightmare will, uniquely, [I]not[/I] grant the lower difficulty achievements.
How late do safes usually come out after a character? I'm curious if we'll get a Duke Safe soon

Forget bank heist. A few years back I was playing train Heist solo, and had to transport all the bags myself.
I think it took me over an hour.

Ever since soloing Train Heist to get the bags achievements, I cringe at the sight of it. It was probably the most painful experience in PD2 for me.
