I tried to do the Weekly Job of Medic Army on FWB, which is easy enough except they don't warn you that hearing Wolf yell "ITS A MUDDAFUCKIN' -MEDIC- in that broken way of his a thousand times will crush your spirit
If Wolf is to get more lines, who will replace Ulf Andersson's voice? They will have to make the same move they made with Chains, only they also have to replace all voice lines with the new VA's ones. We're either playing Melee and Wolf is Jigglypuff (who in turn has never been revoiced since her Smash debut), or we have moved on to SSB4 and revoiced him like with Pit and Lucario… and Mewtwo.
I say retire the character out of respect
I say retire the character out of respect
Wolf shot dead by Locke, RIP Wolf.
Wolf shot dead by Locke, RIP Wolf.
Quite a way to go, very much like how Bill had to be killed off because Valve couldn't get in touch with Jim French back when they were making Crash Course. It seems Valhalla's gates await our Wolfie.
I wouldn't even kill him. Have him take a bunch of his money and go fugitive and hide away, but he still works with the gang to provide them with drills and software.
Getting killed off or otherwise incapacitated is really the only possible end I can think of for Wolf if he's not getting a replacement VA. He's in it entirely for the action, inspired by heist movies and a lust for violence - its just not in character that he would retire peacefully like many of the other characters likely would. He presumably abandoned his family altogether when he snapped and started his life of crime, and I doubt there's anywhere else for him to go. Then again, Overkill hasn't really seemed to be taking backstories into consideration as of late (yes I'm still whingeing about Hoxton) so who knows at this point

"This branch will use a different save file from the main game. This means that you will be playing the game from the beginning." ahhhhhhhhhh time to jump in at the end of the hour whoop
This is Wolf we're talking about, if he died, he'd die on his own terms. Likely in some over-the-top macho way, such as crashing a motorcycle loaded with explosives in through the front doors of a police station.
I'm having so much trouble trying to play the Beta, god damn.
I'm having so much trouble trying to play the Beta, god damn.
same, i've not been able to get past the initial loading screen, it's just an infinite loop
good news: payday 2 VR is a shockingly well translated experience, and it's pretty damn fun. if there wasn't already a baseline payday 2 that existed sans VR, people would be shitting themselves over this in VR. i'm going to flood this post with images in a sort of psuedo-review, so I dunno, scroll by if you have a bad connection or something? disclaimer: the capture of this game makes VR not look so flattering, but it feels and looks nice in game. shooting feels like any other VR shooting, though I didn't try the alternative active/manual reload mechanic that can let you have things like half-mags and boasts a speed boost for successful or adventurous enough players. ammo management is very very difficult, not because you'll be missing a lot (I was hitting ~60-70% accuracy) but because you don't have a constant reminder on your screen and you have to actively hold your wrist out straight in front of you to see a clear ammo counter, which you probably won't be doing often. your main menu VR hub is an expansive warehouse with two screens -- one in front of you and to your left. your left serves as a constant reminder of how VR controls: [T]https://i.imgur.com/gaQBaqO.jpg[/T] and your front is your standard main menu, just with your character/bots displayed in glorious 3D before your very eyes (which thankfully translates well enough into VR...): [T]https://i.imgur.com/lSJfZ3k.jpg[/T] expect the weapon skin business to explode (more) if VR takes off to relative mainstream, as seeing my less than spectacular worn weapon skins was pretty cool in VR: [T]https://i.imgur.com/QwkwG1J.jpg[/T] mask customization is cool as fuck too... [T]https://i.imgur.com/rNMn12B.jpg[/T] [T]https://i.imgur.com/sZLFUuf.jpg[/T] in-game mask ups make you an idiot running around with an ominous mask in your hand (you don't actually put the mask on, you hold a grip button and then it does the mask-up animation which is particularly awkward when it's supposed to be imitating you putting it on and you have the actual ability to do that): [T]https://i.imgur.com/H8446l8.jpg[/T] people in VR doing objectives are no longer locked to that focused cone of vision when interacting with something: [T]https://i.imgur.com/8fCTz1A.jpg[/T] [T]https://i.imgur.com/Qwx6KQt.png[/T] some other misc. stuff, and your custody purgatory theater: [T]https://i.imgur.com/MmJ5OsA.jpg[/T] [T]https://i.imgur.com/qwN5zMf.png[/T] anyway, feels good. [T]https://i.imgur.com/Y881Ymn.jpg[/T] [T]https://i.imgur.com/HsAkJ8q.jpg[/T] the separate save is a bummer but i'm willing to bet syncing your profile wasn't worried about too much since not everything is in-game, so i'd imagine some skills/throwables/weapons wouldn't be translating or functioning well (LMGs are locked, some others I can't recall) and that no one will put in the time to earn them and skill themselves up. half-debating launching into VR and illegitimately dumping skill points and money into myself. also i'm not sure if every heist was available, or if they were red because of my offshore, since I haven't had that problem in a bit. i'm willing to bet both, but at the same time, alaskan deal was available while some other heists I would have expected weren't. offer still stands on asking me to check weapons/heists/this or that/ out if you'd like
same, i've not been able to get past the initial loading screen, it's just an infinite loop
Try removing your mods and startup parameters, worked for me.
I didn't expect Overkill to make such a great trailer for VR beta announcement, the sound effects and the editing is just so well done
There are three constants to this universe: 1) Rivet's face is dumb, and I hate it. Fuck Rivet. 2) I have too much free time. 3) I have collected a series of glitches which, combined together, have painted a narrative that I and a friend of mine have dubbed, the "Rivet Space Program Saga". After a 2-hour session, I can say this is one of the best VR game to date. Everything is exactly the same as in desktop version but in a whole new experience. It's a shame that the fun guns like LMGs and specials are mostly locked And being kicked by a cloaker is now even more terrifying when it's up your face and then it bugs out your guns so you can't shoot
[vid]http://giant.gfycat.com/TatteredClumsyBantamrooster.webm[/vid]
For those of us that don't have a HMD to play PD2VR with, quote this message and drop a silly idea of what you want me to try and I'll make a video of it.

this is the one time where a vr game actually makes me jealous i aint got a pc that can run vr ooof
Today I managed to do Safehouse Nightmare on Overkill with only the bot players.
VR is fucking rad. Now that Oculus works perfectly fine, all they need to add is artificial turning and it'll be perfect.
Are you talking about pushing a button and having it spin you around?
Either that or letting me rotate my character 45 or 90 degrees so I don't have to be stuck facing one direction the whole time.
how much of a pain in the ass is it to move bags in VR like is Big Bank a nightmare beyond compare also for those who've played what's the difficulty like? I imagine a lot tougher, so maybe this was all a ploy to get Hard and Very Hard some playtime

The only flaw here is that pistols are all class and for good reason
