Having fun is cheating stop having fun

Silent Assassin = Cheat of cheats.
Out of curiosity, does Crackdown count as One Down when it comes to things like achievements and trophies and such? Or is it considered a separate difficulty altogether?

It's set to block difficulty achievements right now, because it's both still in development and because it risks being accused of being a "cheat mod" otherwise.
If we get to a full, stable release that's generally agreed to be the equivalent of the base OD, that might change, but it just keeps us safe politically to block achievements.
Do any of you good kids have a Dodge / Sociopath build that's fun to use? I've never used Sociopath and it seems like a good time to start

Use Sociopath with Armor, not dodge. A Frenzerker build with Jokers and the Heavy Ballistic Vest works pretty well

but I'm going for the Jacket Roleplay Experience™
Then wear hot Miami armor skin

Throw the BIN Armor on, it blends well.
You have decent mobility with HBV, and the main survivability benefit of Sociopath is getting a quarter of your armor back instantly every time you kill someone.
I did a Safehouse Raid MAyhem with Sociopath / Dodge and Breaker 12G and Jacket's piece w/ Katana for the most Jacket™ build possible
it actually plays a ton like Hotline Miami. You move super fast, and if you get the drop on anything you'll kill them near instantly, tearing dozers like they were butter, slicing your way through hordes of cops like it's Dead Rising
but if you get hit like once you're fuckin' outta here buddy
and much like the level Crackdown, a sniper will kill you in a second flat.
But its a ton of fun.
[QUOTE=Lolnoob1;52990365]Thanks! Me and Bob (maybe some others I forgot?) worked on them, though I mainly just did the ugly technical side of things.
The Murkydozer in particular was a bit of a nightmare to get working, but he sure looks neat:

Man, I wish some of you would write out a lengthy explanation on how you guys do the custom models. It would be a dream come true to be able to read through the creation process and mess around it myself
Unless some advancement was made since the last time I checked, I'm pretty sure it's still a case of editing the base model meshes into the shape you want and re-UVing stuff for the new texture

I don't have a build off-hand to link you with but explore LBV with dodge and armor skills (Tank tree in Enforcer, Artful Dodger tree in Rogue), as well as the Brawler tree in Fugitive and go from there. It won't be meta and you'll get shredded above OVK, but it's a ton of fun. You need to keep your armor up by chaining your "combo" and out-doing incoming damage with your melee, and tactically use your guns when you can't melee. It's very fast-paced and immensely enjoyable. You kill fast or die.
If you're experienced enough you should be able to experiment with builds, know what skills make the most sense for what you're trying to do, and what skills synergize the best with your use-case, so my suggestions should point you in the right direction. I'm too lazy right now to go into more detail. If you need more instruction I'd be happy to help later.
This month is a good month for Payday 2. I think I'm gonna get back to the game now.
Remember to bind your melee button to left click, so you don't get cramps for pressing E too often.
I hope the Kento heist involves a lot of katana fighting among with a melee rework [sp]and a Kill Bill tie-in[/sp]
I smell nerfs...

Have a melee-only section where you fight against hordes of Katana welding yakuza
Hey, when did the new teaser achievements get added? I presume they're for the Christmas heist.
Said achievements:

Still uses the hashtag backtobrooklyn though, making it pretty obvious what's going on.
Besides Charon rescue what was the significance of Brooklyn again?
