Telling you guys now, we'll be getting Bain as a heister soon. Think about it, Locke's VA has recorded a bunch of lines for basically every conceivable type of heist right? The April fool's day update mentioned an episode where Bain gets robot legs to help us heist, which could be taken as a joke but for some reason I don't think it is. There's already crazy sci-fi shit going on in Payday thanks to the Hardcore Henry stuff, isn't too far fetched to think Mecha-Bain couldn't be a thing. Plus, Payday 2 is probably reaching it's end soon anyways. Might as well end with a bang.
Also this current secret thing Bain wants is basically going to be the biggest heist of his life. If it's so important to him I would suspect that he would want to be there for it.
That was Gage, not Bain. But a playable Bain may still be an option on the table for them to do.
Shit. I keep getting those two mixed up for some reason. Still though, I feel like we got stuff at least pointing at a new heister being someone who worked with us behind the scenes.
Current thinking is the different avatars from Wordsmith may just be references to the No Mercy heist.
The patient we gotta draw blood from in the original No Mercy heist is replaced with Bain, and we gotta draw his blood so we can use the same cloning machine the DC cops use to throw so many cops at us.
Spring break event this year, or is the game past that point?
Word from devs is it's coming "soon".
I might as well confirm that no mercy is in the works, and that it appears likely that a massive set of semi-new weapons are also probably coming in this event. There's less clear indication, but it's possible that a melee revamp is also in the offering.
If Bain becomes playable, I'll say it becomes very schizophrenic. Who is this Bain guy who looks like and sounds like Bain? Is he a clone? Is he Bain's perfect twin? Is he someone connected to Jimmy's cloning?

Can you give details of any leaked No Mercy stuff in updates? Also how massive a set and can you speculate how they would revamp melee?
Nothing concrete from No Mercy, they were really good at pulling files, but a couple small things leaked through. The other material I can't discuss, and I don't know it will happen in this event, or ever. You'll have to wait and see!
All they'd need to do for Bain as a playable character is instead of having the mission control Bain say "Bain is down!" "Bain is in police custody!" ect is just have him say "I'm down!" "I'm in police custody!" and so on. For Locke It'd be the same as any other character.
And idunno if it'd be that "schizophrenic", while it's on a much bigger scale then it, you can play Hoxton Breakout as Hoxton. Wouldn't be any more "schizophrenic" then that.
I think it would be a bit schizophrenic - there are numerous instances of Bain referring to the gang in third person, and having him narrate things while in a solo game would get pretty weird in my opinion.

That's true, but Bain never really felt like someone who was very sane to me. I don't think someone could do what he does as often as he does and not lose a rather large chunk of your sanity.
Bain has always come across as well grounded, just entirely objective focused. I've never seen anything indicating that he might be schizophrenic or whatever unless you count for his treasure hunt which obviously has a lot of merit to it.
I wouldn't call someone who helped found a criminal underground network and has over a dozen associates ready, willing, and able to kill masses of cops at the drop of a hat "well grounded" but I understand what sentiment you mean
Well adjusted and well grounded are separate things. Bain is very aware of reality. However Bain does not adhere to societal norms at all, that makes him maladjusted.
Not on mobile, hitting backspace on mobile when there's just a quote in the post box will close the keyboard and leave the quote there.
Must be some weirdness with how the software keyboards on phones are programmed vs normal keyboards.

Are those pre-generated lipsyncs? Anyone with common knowledge knows that robots can't do stuff perfectly. (Unless they're Berkan Denizyaran)
