It turns out being a mod for PD2 has some real benefits
https://shotzpotz.xyz/ss/SldCmg.png
They put my name in the game
Locke even says my name as part of the objective if you have to find my PC
(yes that is actually meant to be me they asked for names and who wanted in)
I'm sure everyone is aware of how hideous the new akimbo revolver animations are:

Apparently they forgot the Castigos existed, which would've been a much better basis for their animations. So I did just that:

You can download them here, which also includes similar fixes for the Broncos and Matevers.

I've just read that post on the website and at this point I'm fairly certain the big bad guy is just mark zuckerberg
What the fuck, those revolvers don't even animate.
Lolnoob1 has a mod that fixes them as much as possible just a couple posts up. Unknownmercenary has a quick'n'dirty balancing mod that fixes ammo pickup for some of the weapons, too. (btw Lolnoob1 unknownmerc is singing your praises over that mod)
Niphen pls come back, surely the Microgun and new akimbos are enough of a challenge.
New info coming in! LIVE FEED!!!
New post on SecretIsReallyReal.
No Mercy could be about finding Garret after Ketaru tries to kill him.
Rip skepticguy
man, what an underwhelming event. I get that Overkill has like fifty projects on the docket right now, but they could at least organize a team that ensures that regular, quality updates become a thing for the game in it's last few years as opposed to this half-assed, half-finished stuff.
like they didn't even get me to play the game for longer than to check out the new weapons. that's pretty underwhelming.
not a big loss
No Mercy isn't even a heist? Why?
This was likely planned to be the last Spring Break until PD2 got the year update expansion, even then the game is definitely on the backburner now.

hmmm
btw the heist's pretty fun
I think the new heist is a nice addition to the game.
It has the perfect atmosphere to it.
Just how much detail they put into making it unique.
And how it really does feel like a top secret base for murkywater
The heist's track (Underground Lockdown) is dope.
And honestly I'm glad the game has this event. Sure it isn't groundbreaking necessarily but it does make sense that some world building is needed before they finally blow their load on their last heist.
I do think it was kinda silly how they didn't tell us the content like past events and how the secretisreallyreal website didn't have the same punch as past event sites.
What I mean by that is that how it was more of a mess to navigate and it didn't really tell us much about the actual updates to the game.
But still it was neat and added to the suspense in it's own unique way.
I enjoyed that you are able to disable the turrets with a hack at the end of the heist if you aren't up to the task of destroying them
I used to have the attitude that Payday 2 was eh but it's simply deceitful to deny the amount of content and dedication that they have poured into this game. You can bring up points that sure it doesn't have dynamic police ai that actually poses a challenge (ala the difficulty comes from quantity vs quality). It has had a rough beginning and history throughout it's life but for a game that came out 5 years ago you gotta hand it to them that they are still able to organize events for this game. I believe that payday 2 in it's current state is decent. How they bundled up the DLC up was smart because tbh I wasn't that big of a fan of the dlc being piece by piece even though I understand and realize that it was needed for funding Overkill. But you gotta admit Overkill knows how to listen to the community. Sure some responses take time to come to fruition but i'd rather it be thought out than just thrown at the wall and hoping it sticks. Of course i'm not trying to say that Overkill is an innocent angel either. They have had their fair share of mistakes. But i'm talking about how that through time and learning they have managed to shape this game into something beautiful. Few games have I managed to log hundreds of hours into and I still come back. Not to mention to be a game that I've been playing for almost 5 years is pretty darn impressive if you ask me.
Anyway ramble over I hope you boys&girls have fun. And remember payday 3 will come one day and who knows how improved it will be.
How do find what chemicals to use on Henry's Rock?
I kinda expected it to not be on par with other events since they can't fund it with DLC sales anymore, and they're also working on other project.
The event's still worth the attention for that last heist alone imo.
Did the Dentist have an ingame model before? It's clearly him
the tthe TF2 turret is in the ray gun room
Imagine if Murkywater was the buyer of all the stolen loot
someone got the hidden secrets achievement and the thing it relates to is yet another weird twist
GIGANTIC SPOILER (well you can't see it normally)
Didn't the Dentist, or someone who looks like him, appear several times in history in The Diamond's trailer? Maybe the contents of the boxes grant immortality or something.
A'right, now this is unexpected.
Maybe instead of immortality, "The Dentist" is an alias used by someone who is connected to either Ketaru or the mystery boxes (or both) and it's passed it down to whoever their successor is at whatever the hell they're doing?
Immortality seems to be going a bit far, even by Payday standards.

The secret in Henry's Rock, according to this Dallas will say "oh f..." when the ark opens.
The data in the Murky video will convert to:
IMONY | MERCURY |
ALT | COPPER | GOLD | LEAD
Antimony is used in tooth enamel.
Finally Jiro will intentionally no longer talk in the safehouse.
I mean Jimmy exists, as does the Boiling Point heist connected to him. Jacket is a thing that no one can figure out. And if No Mercy is considered canon, which is up in the air at the moment, the end result is the dead coming to life. And then you have things like a scientist building an actual, functional cold fusion engine.
I didn't expect so much cool new shit to come up from a single heist. The fact that we unintentionally found Kento is kinda funny though.
Check for a whiteboard or on documents, it's either the Big Oil or Murky Station method.
So the secret in Henry's Rock implies that the Gang's masks are older than the gang itself, right? Well, the Chivalry Pack trailer features a knight with a helmet shaped like Dallas' mask. I wonder if this is a coincidence or not (probably is)
