Fun Development Fact: all of the armored transport missions (aside from train) have the exact same set and number of script elements put in place. Each map just selectively disables and positions these elements based on what the devs had time to finish, or room to place.
Every map has partially built code for:
10 possible sniper positions
12 possible truck positions
a chance for an "escort" of vehicles carrying either fbi, cops or gensec guards.
Underpass, for instance, appears to have the escort enabled, but only finished placing 8 of the trucks, and never placed any of the snipers(though the mapper created surfaces for at least 4 of them).
Do maps have a suggested color filter? I'd guess Dinero for FWB and In Traffic for Heat Street
Oddly, there seems to be a filter applied to some maps in the map editor that corresponds to the color filter. I have to assume it's applying a separate effect before players see it, but idk.
Major progress in Crackdown map editing recently. Let me find a (WIP, using vanilla enemies) screenshot to tease...

When you see it, you'll shit safes understand one of the nasty things I'm doing to players on Aftershock...
Since Crackdown has the Murky faction with specials and everything, maybe use Kento's model for a special or Murky guard?
Also I'm guessing the color correction is done with map specific filters, like when you're indoors
Murkywater faction is restoration mod, which is distinct from crackdown. I've got my hands full just getting the assets for one set of enemies ported! That said, I get along well with the resmod folks, so asking for the murkywater units sometime downt he line is definitely a possibility. I'd love to use Kento's red-spiked camo for something, it's the closest to game-functional camo of any of the camo-wearing enemies.
I don't have time this moment to look up the exact value, but I think the Overkill difficulty max spawncap for four players at launch was about 24. It's now 108.
24 would definitely be too low unless you removed Inspire and Nine Lives and generally nerfed the players. Might be the right direction, I don't know. Does Overkill want the game to be more L4D or R6S.
SWAT van on top of the higher bridge.
Nah, I've not added any swat turrets on this heist. The SWAT van was always there. There is, however, a bit more of something than usual in that shot.
There's at least three vans in the shot. How many can spawn at once?
Good eye! Four. The heist always spawns four vans (for the record it's still just 12 safes, though).
Is there a music mod to add Force Marker from Heat? Would be awesome, the stealth could be another track from the movie.
Just a heads-up: There's a player I've encountered twice now by the username of "C. Hing". He sets up Jokers and camps out in a hiding spot the entire game, refusing to shoot enemies. He always takes a weapon with friendly fire though, as he'll try to down other players if they critique him.
Thats why you convince the host to kick them, or if you are the host, kick them. Otherwise, play with friends.
Is it weird that in the 130 hours I have put into Payday 2 I have never played in a public game, literally I only ever played with people I know
Is there a mod out there that added PD1 Cop voice lines to the regular roster? Similar to that restoration mod that adds all the cut lines?
The timeline according to the storyline. The Christmas heists were put in a bit randomly so I put them at the end of each year, and I don't think Cook Off was in the storyline.

Here you go, reactivates a bunch of unused PD2 cop lines along with a ton of PD1 cop lines.
Oh, that's the one I was taling about haha, I didn't realize PD1 lines were in it though
starbreeze's interim Q1 report came out: http://news.cision.com/starbreeze-ab/r/starbreeze-ab--publ-interim-report-q1-2018,c2516965
if you can't parse through the financial speak, it means they had a great Q1 and they haven't even gotten into the expected "this is where we will do well" part
The company's still not profitable in the quarter, though. Reading through the profit breakdown it looks like a third of their profits, and the source of the DbD profits, was the re-purchasing of the IP from the DbD devs.
http://mb.cision.com/Main/14632/2516965/838211.pdf
which still hasn't been paid back fully yet. deficit quarters are to be expected with a console port and all their other investments we have no idea on.
can't speak for their VR branch, though! no idea what's going on there
I hope y'all don't mind me asking this,I just can't be bothered to reinstall PD2 again. What's the name of the song that plays during the "connection to the host has been lost" bit?

Another day, another Crackdown heist finalized. The main change on this one is a bit easier to spot...

Can we get another mod pack? Things like the original F2000 sight or being able to use the generic shotgun sights on the Reinfeld/Loco.
Playing Payday in VR is fucking amazing.
I was doing the Alessio heist last night, and grasping the MG42 and mowing hallways of cops down. Running out of ammo, and then reaching down to the toolbelt without looking and withdrawing the pistol and then popping people was fucking amazing.
If only VR was a little better when it came to hand controls. I'd really love to be able to slap the mags in myself, or at least be able to spin them. I want to be Revolver Ocelot.
I feel like more complex gun controls won't fit too well for Payday style gameplay
I mean you can at least take a mag with your off hand and smack it in, that's good enough for me really
For those following the whole secret hunt thing, here are two useful resources regarding the big seal dingus on Henry's Rock, with translations. The first is by RandomKenny, and shows primarily how the whole thing is put together:
https://imgur.com/a/zDy2JJ8
The second is by steam user Maurens and provides translations for everything on the seal:

Some of these translations aren't exact.
The different "stars" could be referring to other things- each of the terms, dimmea, galla and namtar, are also names for demons. This isn't very helpful, though, because in sumerian, just about every word is also a word for some kind of demon.
The term "nergal" is most likely just referring to the underworld, or hell.
The phrases in quotes on the upper left are all quite tricky to translate precisely, so these are people's best guess.
Iter now fixes the improved civliian pathing added in Spring Break so civs no longer walk through walls. That ruined a perfect solo stealth FWB run I did when the inside woman walked through the floor instead
of opening the door.
