New e-mail!
Sir,
I was wondering if you are at all worried that Mr. Simmons may try to retaliate for his arrest, and if so, what precautions I should have the team take? I mean, you don’t hold a person like that for 37 days without expecting them to hold a grudge. The fact that Mr. Simmons has avoided making any public statements since we released him has me slightly worried.
Whatever you need or think prudent as a course of action Sir, just let me know. The entire task force is still behind you one hundred percent.

Could it be that Elephant refused to make any public statements because he knows he'll be a free man soon enough anyway and he doesn't want to leave behind self-incriminatory testimonies?
At this point, I'm not really after answers right now, I think I deserve a good vacation from PAYDAY 2. Nonetheless, I got myself a Steam key for RAID World War II in the Discord chat and used it.

Since Duke safehouse lines mention Baldwin trying to steal the artifact from the White House, I hope we finally get the heist mentioned way back in Framing Frame.
Thoughts on Graze?
I love it
I made a crit Desertfox build with Grinder just to use with aced Graze, it's crazy how many kills you can rack up with just a sniper rifle. Not to mention how satisfying it is to line up a perfect shot on a body armor guy and delete the entire group around him.
The new writer said he talked to Bo after watching the Web Series and Bo said the story is a lot less ramshackle than it appears. Bo took part in the PDTH secret, is there anything linking the PDTH and PD2 secrets
besides Baldwin?
Yes, a few things, but they're mostly indirect. The latest: the first secret had some references to the Mayans and ancient Central American civilizations. Wordsmith (the new writer) just changed his avatar (a route he uses for low key riddles related to the secret) and profile info to some things that turned out to be references to the apocalypse, and Quetzlcoatl.
My theory: The Payday Gang got the attention of Ketaru from stealing the Overvault gold, and got Hoxton imprisoned through Hector, who Bain sold the gold to and so back to Ketaru. This was so the gang would
help the Dentist get the box out of Golden Grin.
Also from the Guide of Bain and the ancient masks, maybe it's destined for there to always be a gang of robbers led by someone named Bain or Bane?
Content drought was the real problem a lot of its mechanics were an improvement
Hey just a heads up, the owner of ModWorkshop is going through employment and financial troubles, so it is probable that ModWorkshop will go down within a week or so. If so, content may be lost to the void like it did in 2014.
Consider backing up your uploaded content.

Oh, joy. Not the first time I've done this though.
I haven't seen a source on it being "within a week" though. You can still donate to keep the servers afloat; details were posted over on their Discord.
Someone mentioned a week, though I posted the message above before donations were brought up. Things should be right I suppose.
Payday has great music, but what's your least favorite tracks?
Heist, or including menu tracks too?
big news (and a request for help with texture edits for one last new enemy unit) on Crackdown coming soon, btw
Both I suppose; will Crackdown work with Full Speed Swarm's real elastic mutator?
We've just resolved the last crash bug in Crackdown! All that remains is polishing work, and expanding the roster of edited heists that occur with launch. Speaking of which:
We're looking for a collaborator to create texture edited versions of the "secret service" guards, the ones that appear on, for example, Framing Frame day 3. Specifically, I'm looking for a version of this suited NPC (both the flashlight and non-flashlight version) that will look clearly different from other guards, even at a medium distance. The new version of these NPCs will be used as the "Crackdown guard" and will appear in stealth maps with specific gameplay changes that give them a unique role in stealth.
You would, of course, retain rights to your creation, and get credited for it in the mod. Contact me if you're interested!
While FSS generally works, apparently the real elastic mutator malfunctions because both it and Crackdown attempt to change the enemy spawncap.
Worst heist track off the top of my head is Clowns Are Scary; it just doesn't go anywhere or do anything, and the remix blows it out of the water. Worst menu track is a toughie; it'll be one of the pdth tracks that are overlaid with sound effects and voicelines, probably.
James Black weighted in on the PD2 story developments of Spring Break '18.

Interesting discourse, though probably debatable.
I thought the Hox Heist was a bit questionable, like yeah it's an okay heist and nice to have a stealth only one again. But it just felt like a rehash to me.
Tried to introduce a couple of friends into the game, turns out one of them can't play for more than a few minutes before crashing after trying every fix on Google. Welp, there goes that. What a good and stable game
I'm hoping GTFO is good but we'll see after the bomb shell that was RAID. Hopefully it brings fresh new ideas to the table while being different enough from Payday 2 to be worthwhile.
Oh okay. That's good news.
Holy moley the grind to go from 100 to Infamy 1 is excruciating. Remember to always back-up your savefile or at least enable Steam Cloud. Don't be an idiot like me.
You need money or XP? Either way, crime spree carrying is a great approach. Alternately, Cook-off provides a decent slice.
I'll have to try the crime spree carry one day. To be honest, I thought I would enjoy climbing back to Infamy XV after 400 or so in the game, but sadly the grind is too strong at lower levels.
If you're alright at stealth, doing stealth missions on whatever the highest difficulty available to you is is a great way to shoot up levels - I'm a mostly solo stealth player though so that makes it a little easier for me.
Pre-orders for OTWD are up, if that trailer somehow convinced you:
Pre-purchase OVERKILL's The Walking Dead on Steam

I'm seeing a trend here.
I stopped watching after the first character trailer just due to a lack of interest in TWD as a franchise. Have the other character trailers been bad?
I liked the character trailers for the most part, and the in-game models for them seemed good quality, so at the very least they would make for good models to have in SFM, or to stick in L4D2.
