So now I got stuck at Xcom 2, with me failing every attempt at doing the counter missions, either running out of time in the destroy relay missions, or failing the protect relay missions because I can't get to the relay on time cause I just either have a Muton or a Andromedon pod taking like 1/5 of the relay HP each ayy turn. How do I stop fucking up (I'm on still vanilla xcom 2 btw)
afaik protect the device mission get pretty much impossible in the late game.
Oh man, that post-credits scene I'm cackling like a maniac
Can you share it? Never had plans to play the expansion either way
I just bought WoTC, so what is the best approach to mods? uninstall everything and reinstall everyone with WoTC tag?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/comments/6wrkgz/wotc_compatible_mods_master_list_please_submit/ This helped me a lot.
Oh man, that post-credits scene I'm cackling like a maniac
I accidentally skipped the credits :/
Holy fuck Mox almost ruined the entire mission with his dumbass abilities. It started out amazing with me using a 100% chance hack to refund all actions to kill a spectre, shieldbearer, stunlancer and the assassin in a single turn before she even did anything. But later I decided to use Mox's interrupt ability against incoming reinforcements and it gave them a full turn to act... Thankfully everyone made it out, but with three wounded now instead of zero.
completed the war of the chosen (it was also my first completed xcom 2 run) on commander. i don't get why the avatars are supposed to be threatening, the chosen were a bigger threat and even those died in a single turn when i raided their bases. the avatars stood no chance due to immense amounts of blaster bombs. as for the ending [sp]okay if the next game is not terror from the deep I don't know what else they could be planning. it's true that the ending for the game would set up some sort of xcom apocalypse scenario as well, but purple psi-tentacles emerging from the ocean deeps and the templar ending video pulls it way more toward the TFTD style ending. explaining a tech reset is pretty easy due to action moving underwater thus the normal ballistics, plasma weapons and powered armor wouldn't work there. can't think of a way to disable psi troopers though. i hope in the next game (if it's a sequel to xcom 2 and not another reboot) the ex-advent hybrids become part of the general recruiting pool and there's a 5-10% chance of a recruit being a hybrid instead of a normal human and the difference being just cosmetic. i can't see the reapers being relevant at all in a post-xcom 2 world so the templars would only really remain. i hope the hero classes are dropped for the sequel / sequel dlc, i didn't really enjoy that some of my troops were not really part of my faction and i didn't use them much in the end. templars seemed to have the only somewhat unique playstyle but i wouldn't mind keeping them.[/sp]
One of my friends who hasn't really played many strategy games before decided out of the blue to get XCOM 2 when I told him about the aesthetic and dynamic story-telling etc features Interesting question came to mind about beginner advice, does anyone still try pull off concealment ambushes? I stopped doing it completely after about my third run in vanilla, because I found too often that it gives Advent a free turn if the overwatch results aren't good enough. I always start with either a high damage shot or a grenade and then flexibly use grenades, abilities and items to kill everyone that moves into cover.
the hecu shotgun and mp5 now works great thx to e3245
I've finally managed to get progress on the game, after I just said fuck it and installed True Concealment. I've somehow managed to have my specialist take over both a ADVENT SPARK and a Sectopod in one mission
In terms of commanders you want when operating XCOM: - mind reading Chess grandmasters who are also avid gamers - beagle type players and those that completed the xcom series with no deaths ever - experienced players - the rest - - casual players - DSP - the journalist from Cuphead - a coma patient - Me. :v: Seriously first mission 2 deaths 1wounded Second mission 2 deaths 2 wounded Third mission all dead - new game - First mission 1 dead 3 wounded My luck is legendary bad I missed a 85% flank in half cover TWICE
that's nothing one time i missed three 100% shots in one turn
;52664485']that's nothing one time i missed three 100% shots in one turn
How the hell do you miss 100%?
very carefully
How the hell do you miss 100%?
Dunno if it's still the same but in XCOM: EU I remember 99.5% shots rounding up visually to 100% or something. Was something bullshit like that so you could literally fail what looked like 100% shots.
How the hell do you miss 100%?
iirc it's something about XCOM rounding up percentages, meaning a shot could potentially have 99,6% chance to hit, but will be displayed as 100% (correct me if I'm wrong). Still, quite impressive three such shots missed in a row. [editline]9th September 2017[/editline] Motherfucker.
oh, oh god oh god OH GOD
god help him

A testing build is now up :o anyone who wants to do some testing shit can send me an add on steam, make sure to comment on my profile about it though, contrary to what the description says I do read it sometimes
That emotional rollercoaster when your ranger misses a 91% shot then the hair trigger procs then he misses again
This fucking mission name

I completely missed the new Star Trek: The Next Generation voice pack DLC, so i installed it today. Wow, this is beyond Enemy Within level, not many things can come out and fully devote me back to a game i haven't touched in ages.

Ok, my Ranger is definitely broken, and not just in the game-balance way. I previously posted about weird consistent crashes earlier and just confirmed that my Ranger keeps crashing the game. Did a mission without him and it worked flawlessly, but then right after, I did a Facility Assault, tried to grapple with him and the game crashed. It seems whenever he performs an action besides running, the game crashes. Alternative Mod Launcher shows no conflicts and I'm barely running any mods in the first place. What gives??

Strongly considering it, since he keeps breaking the game. Throwing him into the BENCH ZONE. Next time I'll see if any other Rangers break it or just him.
What mods do you have?

I think it has something to do with movement-related actions and calculating valid end tiles for them, but that's just a hunch.
If you guys are using the Dragonpunk Second Wave Plus, that can cause crashing.
