Finally finished my first campaign on commander, got a bit too easy near the end (except for the last mission) because I ended up having maxed out all research, facilities, and fully trained 2 Psi Ops.
What should I do next, should I try to spice up the next campaign a bit with some mods? (The ADVENT reinforcements and Muton Centurion mods seem pretty cool) Or directly try out Legendary?
I'd say mix both, add some mods for fun and try out Legendary, because why not

All right, getting ready to get my ass kicked.
it's annoying to have a country leave the council because rng didn't grace me with a civilian rescue mission
I kind of hate Enemy Unknown because I hate the panic levels and how they work.
I noticed Tygan is wrong about Thin Men, he mentions they had Human DNA even though they did not. If they did, Vahlen's report would have certainly mentioned that, and the Aliens would probably have Pectoids and lean Mutons. Then again, he's never seen a grey Sectoid, so he's probably mistaken.

Perhaps he thought they originally had human DNA since they appeared fairly human, but never had the proper autopsy results that xcom did. Although it could be possible the writers accidentally missed out on that detail.
Even though I successfully completed every mission during the month, the council still gave me an F on my report card because I missed a ton of UFOs because I had to wait until I had enough stuff to build the Firestorm and then I had to wait for it to actually build.
Mum and Dad are gonna freak when they see this :(
So I've begun streaming a Commander-Ironman campaign for one of the communities I'm a part of, using characters recreated from the community members.
We've had 2 streams so far, and these are the highlights of the first in one image.

Those Wound timers
Some pics from my current modded campaign (the same one with those godawful dark events)

Upon getting plated armor, this soldier decided to put on an eyepatch and clown nose. I could have honestly sworn that she didn't have them before I upgraded.

Pod featuring the ADVENT Surveillance units - when they finish patrolling they go on overwatch (ever vigilant) and have a higher detection radius. Makes a nice middle ground between one-shotting troopers and Advanced Troopers.

Hey, sectoid triplets.

Should make his nickname "Anticitizen".
Whose idea was it to have countries that leave the resistance fucking destroy their relays? "Oh guess we don't need that no more! Tear it down!"
Should make his nickname "Anticitizen".
I made it "The One" for my one (As in "The One Free Man"), but "Anticitizen" does indeed work

I like that, but Freeman (or Dr. Freeman) is what all the rebels call him. Incidentally I also have him as a Scientist in this campaign.
Can anyone on a Mac client confirm that my Moonbase Alpha voicepack is not working? I've seen reports that it doesn't work on OSX unless you use 22050Hz frequency for the audio files, and my current ones are 44100Hz. Guess what happens if you cut the frequency in half? The audio quality reduces, and I really wouldn't want to do that.
There's a OSX port of XCOM?

Makes sense.. Destroy the equipment so ADVENT can't get their hands on it and use it against XCOM.

It'd be nice if you could do a Capture or Destroy like with Dark VIPs. Capture the device to get a boost to intel or supplies or Destroy it to get the hell out of dodge.
How far from the end of EU is the overseer UFO assault
About 3/4 I'd say.
How far from the end of EU is the overseer UFO assault
About 75% in but for me it always ends up being about halfway since there's technically nothing that forces you to rush the remaining story missions.
I just realized, Independence Day is literally XCOM the Movie.
Funny, because in my experience, Overseer assault was like, literally the second to last thing I did. I bagged the Ethereal for interrogation on first-try too.
Got that Gollup Chamber up straight away, raided a single shot down UFO (Which almost went bad when the Ethereal mind controlled a PsiGeneCol), and headed into the Temple Ship the moment it was possible.
[editline]21st March 2016[/editline]
This was AFTER I stalled for several months to make sure every last bit of keikaku was in place before ever daring to advance the main missions though.
Like, EVERY airbase had a Firestorm with a Fusion Lance before I dared install the Hyperwave Beacon.
I used the evac feature for the first time today when a sectopod walked through my mission objective. Instead of getting potentially killed fighting it after already failing the mission, I just bailed.
I usually use evac for poisoned soldier if I forget my meds.
well this was a fun day of XCOM2:

The brilliant logic of XCOM2 strikes again

And an advanced MEC that started to climb its way up, got hit by my ranger's overwatch and then proceeded to ascend into the skies and refused to get down

My Sharpshooter had to take it down to the ground by force. :(
Fucking hell, how do you tell when an unconscious soldier dies? I've been carrying a corpse for half of the fucking blacksite mission!

I had my soldier hit unconcious once but I killed every alien in next three or four turns I think and he was gravely wounded.
