I've finally released the M60. I had some trouble with the workshop creating a new instance of the same item, but I think I've resolved that issue. New Long War mods inbound
Long War Studios’ next mod, called “Toolbox,” is available to download on Steam Workshop for free starting today and features a collection of new options in the game menu. Using “Toolbox,” players can configure camera rotation in tactical missions, create random stats for new soldiers or those who have leveled up, edit damage values, tweak the game UI and turn on Red Fog – a modifier where injuries can affect a soldier’s stats. Here’s a list of everything included in the “Toolbox” mod: Configurable camera rotation in tactical missions Damage variation Random stats for new soldiers Random stats on level-ups UI that shows soldier stats in various menus UI and other support for up to 12-soldier squads Red Fog (injuries affect stats) Additionally, Long War Studios is working on four more mods that will be available to download on Steam Workshop for free over the coming months. The second mod will be the "Perk Pack" mod, with new soldier classes and dozens of new soldier abilities for players to create additional classes of their own. The “Laser Pack” mod is the third mod and will be a new weapon tier coming out the same day as the “Perk Pack”. The fourth mod that will be coming to XCOM 2 is the “Alien Pack” mod and will add 10 new alien enemies. The fifth and last mod from the Long War Studios team is still in the works and we’ll be sharing more details soon.
https://xcom.com/news/en-long-war-studios-creating-more-xcom-2-mods Toolbox here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=674832831 [editline]30th April 2016[/editline] Also Capnbubs is working with them
Damn, it's like free DLC. If only someone made body customisations :v:
Apparently 2K Games is going to be at MCM ComicCon next month where I am going, I hope to see XCOM2 there, hopefully an expansion pack or something :v:
Apparently 2K Games is going to be at MCM ComicCon next month where I am going, I hope to see XCOM2 there, hopefully an expansion pack or something :v:
They'd be shooting themselves in the foot announcing an expansion before they've released all the season pass DLC. Like, personally I wouldn't be mad but people would get pretty mad.
I thought the DLC they already announced was the only ones they had planned?
I thought the DLC they already announced was the only ones they had planned?
No, they named it the Reinforcement Pack instead of Season Pass for a reason. Jake said in an interview around release that it was not all the DLC planned, and got coy about expansion prospects too (Basically saying that the DLC wouldn't stand in the way of their being an expansion if such a thing were planned)
Here's the newest helmet Capnbubs is working on:
Xcom2: master chief edition?
Would rigging a custom body part model be significantly harder than porting one from another game? Do ported models need to be re-rigged at all? It's a bit weird seeing all those custom hat models but no custom body model at all. At this point any modeler who does the latter will be heralded as the second coming of Christ.
Xcom2: master chief edition?
More like Blacklight Retribution
why must he only do head props [editline]30th April 2016[/editline] on that note thank you ninja for the bdu mod with which my dudes look like real resistance fighters
I wish I could rig the COD Black Ops uniforms to XCOM 2. I would have to undo its default pose so I could rig them to XCOM 2's bone rig.
I don't know if they were posted but Alien Hunters achievements leaked
[sp]Viper Vanquisher Kill the Viper King Ruler Berserker Breaker Kill the Berserker Ruler Archon Annihilator Kill the Archon Ruler Kingslayer Kill all alien rulers in a single game Deadly Arsenal Purchase all of the final tier Hunter Weapons Now I Am The Master Use all ruler armor abilities in a single mission Enemy Adopted Use a ruler armor ability against an alien ruler Regicide Kill an alien ruler the first time you encounter it Not Throwing Away My Shot Kill an alien ruler while it attempts to escape[/sp]
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/comments/4fhxg5/new_xcom_2_achievements_showing/
why must he only do head props
He's working with LWS so he might be doing some weapon and alien work for them
I wish I could rig the COD Black Ops uniforms to XCOM 2. I would have to undo its default pose so I could rig them to XCOM 2's bone rig.
Rigging is horrible. I feel your pain.

Hey everyone, I'm designing UI icons for my weapons, and I need some feedback. I wanted to make the weapon icons more like the one's you seen in MGS2, instead of X2's weapon icons. Example: Here's mine, a WIP: [t]http://i.imgur.com/jloIsMr.png[/t] The image is kinda big even with [t] tags. I'm working with 1024x512 for now. I might change the color scheme later. If everyone doesn't like it, I might do something else.
I think the one minor complaint I have is that the weapons aren't viewed orthogonally. You should try rendering them in an orthogonal view so you can get a better shaped 2D image.

Like CGNick said, having an orthogonal view would be best. Also, in MGS2 the icons don't have differing line thickness, it's the same thickness everywhere.
So, uh, what is the Reinforcement Pack going to give us?
Anarchy's Children, Alien Hunters and Shen's Last Gift. It's a "pack" of DLC.
Speaking of, any news on Alien Hunter or Shen's Last Gift regarding release estimates?
Speaking of, any news on Alien Hunter or Shen's Last Gift regarding release estimates?
Alien Hunter achievements were added to steam quite recently but I don't think there's a date yet. I'd say either sometime this month or early next month at the latest.

Alien Hunters time
XCOM 2 players have a new DLC pack to look forward to next week. Following the Anarchy's Children pack, the new DLC Alien Hunters adds new campaign content, including a new mission, weapons and armor, and a new update to the Avenger's Armory called "Hunter's Lodge." Players can also expect to go up against three new "Ruler" aliens in combat. The Rulers include the Viper King, the Berserker Queen, and the Archon King. They appear randomly throughout the campaign after completing the new DLC mission and each have their own tactics. However, the Rulers only show up for a limited time, after which they'll escape the map and return in another mission later on. You can see what they look like in the gallery below. The four new weapons include the Bolt Caster, which delivers high damage in single-shots; the Hunter's Axe, a new blade weapon that can be thrown; the ShadowKeeper pistol, a gun that is guaranteed to hit and conceal you if you kill an enemy with it; and the Frost Bomb grenade, which freezes targets temporarily. The catch with these weapons is there's only one of each and if a soldier equipped with them dies, you have to carry their bodies to the Skyranger or you'll lose them permanently. The new DLC comes with three new armor sets, which you'll have to create with the Ruler aliens' corpses. The armor gives you a higher chance of causing the corresponding Ruler's subordinates to panic--for example, wearing the Viper King's armor is more likely to scare Vipers. The armor sets also grant unique abilities to the user, such as boosters that let you fly around the map. Alien Hunters arrives alongside a compatibility patch that also makes general bug fixes, optimizes performance, and balances the single player and multiplayer modes. You need XCOM 2 to play the Alien Hunters DLC, which releases on May 12 for $9.99
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xcom-2-alien-hunters-dlc-coming-adds-new-mission-w/1100-6439507/?ftag=GSS-05-10aaa0a
That Berserker is giving off some serious comic book vibes, also looks like Darth Maul is a Archon now
The viper king looks kinda cool, but the other two... Meh. Also, not too sure about those outfits.
The viper king looks kinda cool, but the other two... Meh. Also, not too sure about those outfits.
I dunno, if it weren't for the lack of legs I'd say the Archon king's pretty badass.
Those armor sets. We're Monster Hunter, now
Finally, I get to make Serpentor:
