Im the opposite, I hope we at least get the option to field the cyborgs both inside and outside of the suits. Never made sense to me how a seasoned solider with brand new mechanical arms and legs is suddenly unable to deploy outside of their power armor because they are suddenly useless without it.
I just hope they emphasize on the "mechanical" part of MEC:s and actually let us mod the sodding things.
This is probably most likely, I can't imagine Firaxis would just go "oh here's MECs again k bye", I would see them doing something similar to them but not retreading that exact ground.
Plus better to not spoil the people with too much goods in the first wave of dlc and possible expansions

Never made sense to me how a seasoned solider with brand new mechanical arms and legs is suddenly unable to deploy outside of their power armor because they are suddenly useless without it.
the fact that they couldn't because of the surgery needed to fit them in MEC suits was an interesting aspect of the MEC troops in EW
Why couldn't they just weld titan/ghost/archangel armor to the base augments and replace an arm with a minigun :( I always thought MEC troops looked goofy as hell with the small heads and 40k sized bodies
I would love to have the EW MECs, but also what would be pretty fun to have is when you prepare a soldier for a MEC suit, you hack the limbs of soldiers and replace them with robotic parts. I would seriously love to have me an Adam Jensen on the team - a soldier that is augmented, not suited for MEC operation, but quite the opposite - he becomes a new 'experimental' hybrid of human and technology in one body. Who wouldn't want a Jensen on your team? [editline]22nd June 2016[/editline]
Speaking of, really enjoying your pack so far. I love the hilarious lines like "thirteen thirdy-seven thirteen thirdy-seven thirteen thirdy-seven" when he goes for a hack. Johnathan "Moon Man" Madden is currently my highest ranked Specialist, incidentally, and is a valued asset to the team.
Thanks man, glad to hear that! :D I spend about 4 hours total in Moonbase Alpha just recording lines and thinking of what to include, and I did absoutely random stuff at some points. I currently don't have any plans on updating the pack because, well, there's not much to add yet IMO. Once the MECs will be out, and hopefully MECs will have separate voicelines just like in EW, I'll add a bunch of new lines for sure, it should be a lot of fun :D
When I reload a save on a mission, all my soldiers disappear and it looks like it mixes objectives in from other missions. Right now I have to plant explosives at a facillity. If I reload a save from that mission, my men disappear and it gives me new objectives, like having to capture an NPC. Is this because of a mod, or another bug to the list of unplanned features?

Is there a way to make it so on new games my starting character pool is like 5 of my custom characters and only one randomly-generated one? I'd like it to be toned down to like 1, maybe 2.
Anyone else seeing the Pillar of Autumn in this screenshot?

Thought I was too dependant on a few of my top-level soldiers, so I thought I'd recruit a squad of rookies and chuck them in the deep end. 5 rookies plus my psi soldier on the next available mission. Mind controlled a gatekeeper to babysit the newbies and got everyone a promotion with no losses against some pretty tough enemies... I think I enjoy having alien forces on my side far too much, thought it was very amusing to have a Gatekeeper follow my rookies around!
Anyone else seeing the Pillar of Autumn in this screenshot?
Not really. very minor Xenonauts 2 news-
Hi all - so in preparation for some kind of announcement (what could it be? ) we're considering migrating these forums to a new system in the next few weeks. ... ... We won't be doing the migration for a couple of weeks yet so there should be plenty of time to discuss things before we make any final decisions!
So basically they're doing this upgrade while it's still quiet, because it'd be chaotic if they tried to do it after they release some big Xenonauts 2 news. Unless their game dev foresight is absurdly long, I think we can expect something solid in the next couple of months.
It's more like the Infinity IMO.
The Autumn comes to mind because of the whole crashed in the sand thing. It's exactly like the way you find the crashed autumn in the mission "the maw"
Anyone else seeing the Pillar of Autumn in this screenshot?
They call it.. Avatar Project
The Autumn comes to mind because of the whole crashed in the sand thing. It's exactly like the way you find the crashed autumn in the mission "the maw"
This, it's not so much the actual shape of the ship, more the composition of the scene. ... and the horse you rode in on.

Also, i cannot beleive how stupidly effective this shit is.
Hmmm do I get the Reinforcement pack while it's on sale or not... Can't decide whether it's worth it.
Is it possible to port Hotline Miami masks from Payday2 into XCOM2 by any chance? That would be pretty rad because masks in PD2 are pretty damn nice and I'd love to get those. Also, has anyone tried doing custom scars?
Hmmm do I get the Reinforcement pack while it's on sale or not... Can't decide whether it's worth it.
While I can't really tell you to get it or not, just remember that if you do get it to think of it like getting a bunch of Cosmetic and Operation Slingshot DLC because it's virtually impossible to make Enemy Within like Content within weeks or months after release
Here's another weapon I'm working on: The Model 1887. I decided to take a break from porting assault rifles, and decided to port this weapon from Far Cry 3. [t]http://i.imgur.com/RBZ28hM.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/0bz2Zbc.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/het0Pdd.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/PGEtPSi.png[/t] I'm not sure about the colorable part, I'm still trying to decide on whether or not to include the wooden furniture or not, or just make the wooden furniture colorable only. The shotgun uses the mag sniper firing animations, since the pump action animations would look really weird on a lever action. I wish I could make my own, but I can't. Also, the sawn-off version will come later as a sidearm version.
I have been working on my custom class called The Miami Mutilator for past couple of days, it's in a playable state but there's a lot of testing left to do. Special thanks to CGNick for helping me in figuring out the bits and pieces of XCOM2SDK! Anyway, here's my Hotline Miami Appearence Pack. Work in progress, more to come.
Glad to know that you got the camo textures working!
oh yeah camo textures got working a looong time ago, I just never got around to releasing the mod I did it for. I'm still hoping someone with porting knowledge will port PAYDAY2's Hotline Miami masks because they are damn good and I'm in-progress of having my own Miami Mutilator class: [t]http://puu.sh/pK3hY/e619fab49c.jpg[/t] (currently abilities have different names but purposes are the same) As you can probably tell it's a retarded class that is designed to go nuts on killing everything. My plan is to get all the abilities on the screenshot to actually work(some ranged ones don't work I think, and thanks to CGNick there's a skill that makes SMGs use 1 AP instead of 2) and currently stuck on making melee attacks heal the attacker. Yeah. :v:
Shen's Last Gift achievs have been added to Steam [sp] Judging by the descriptions, no human-MECs. We get to build something called a SPARK unit though, it can be promoted, given new equipment and its health will carry over across missions. [/sp]
