Holy fuck, that pimp hand looked strong as shit. I'm a bit sad that it's not like MEC's with a human pilot, but this is more than close enough. Big question though, can it get a flamethrower?
well, I had a decently fresh campaign, only a couple of missions into it already, might as well try and finish off my Miami Mutilator class and perhaps get the DLC to start fresh. Kinda want Alien Rulers as well, but I guess I'll pass on that one. Making slow progress on Jacket VoicePack so far - making voice lines in Audacity by combning phrases together and mixing in with the playback sound from tape recorder is pretty fun!
Caved and bought the viper figurine and T-shirt and shit, need more stuff to stick up on my shelves anyway, room's kind of bare.
Guess its finally time to start that new campaign.
Guess its finally time to start that new campaign.
There's a bunch of other shit I should be doing but I'll probably do that too :v:
One thing I wish Xcom had is a sandbox mode.
One thing I wish Xcom had is a sandbox mode.
In debug there's a tactical quick launch. I'm surprised no mod has made it normally available and easier to use. Now that all the dlc is out I'm going to start a new game.
Is the launcher fucked up for anybody else? it loads every mod I have downloaded, even if I turn them off.
well, that's fun, my mods are broken in X2SDK - it throws an error in my face, yipee
These DLC are something else. From the start of the game, your virgin rookies can either wear a giant metal skull mask with a mohawk; or paint their face just like those aliens you have no idea exist yet. Did Shen's Gift not provide any customisation options of its own??
Only soldier option I've seen added in Shen's Last Gift is a single "Shen" tattoo, which appears to be a cog with some shit inside it
Ah man, Robots are cool and everything But i'm going to miss cyborgs.
Ah man, Robots are cool and everything But i'm going to miss cyborgs.
Theres probably gonna be a mod that allows you to attach human heads to them. EDIT: Gonna make a CABAL voice pack
I like how the release video has gameplay, but since XCOM is typically boring to watch when there's just normal action going on they threw a bunch of lasers everywhere.
I haven't played in about four months until today, was there some huge optimization patch that came along during that time that made the game not run like shit? Also is the dlc worth it?
I haven't played in about four months until today, was there some huge optimization patch that came along during that time that made the game not run like shit? Also is the dlc worth it?
It runs better IMO. Doesn't have that weird lag on the Geoscape.
I haven't played in about four months until today, was there some huge optimization patch that came along during that time that made the game not run like shit? Also is the dlc worth it?
the newest patch seems to have made it run way smoother.
Went to see the new Independence Day Jesus FUCK that was bad. I mean, it was a great scifi flick but as a movie it was awful. It was a prime example of something that needed to spend a bit of time on the chopping block. Too many unimportant characters and sideplots and I counted at least five "emotional" speeches about unity. And for gods sake the [sp]landing sequence[/sp] must have gone for at least twenty minutes, at some point I kinda zoned out thinking "we get it, everything is exploding" Just for extra america value they found a way to have two characters be Mr President at the same time Felt very XCOM at times and the mechanical design was fucken dope though
So this DLC anygood? as usual the steam reviews are full of bullshit jokes and memes that i can't tell if any are genuine.
So this DLC anygood? as usual the steam reviews are full of bullshit jokes and memes that i can't tell if any are genuine.
I think I would describe it as very good, but not "BRILLIANT 10/10 MUST-HAVE NOW!".
So this DLC anygood? as usual the steam reviews are full of bullshit jokes and memes that i can't tell if any are genuine.
The first two are basically mods while the latest seems pretty cool
So I'm doing my second campaign after I beat the game once, and it seems Duke Nukem wasn't content with landing a 10% make or break shot to win the first campaign. He is now a shotgun ranger with serial, a serpent suit, a +2 mobility pcs, untouchable and like 5 or 6 shots in his shotgun + the throwing axe. He's a fucking death machine and he gets hit maybe once per mission if at all. The only issue is sometimes that ability that gives you +1 action on a kill with the shotgun breaks and he can't do shit. Hail to the king baby.
Your game found a way to balance him it seems.
I updated my voicepack tutorial for anyone wanting voicepacks to work with SPARKs. I don't have my Reddit account password with me and I won't return until Tuesday, so I would appreciate it if you guys let them know too. It's on Step 17b (on Page 17) if it doesn't go to the correct page.
Speaking of voicepacks, did SLG break them?
So this DLC anygood? as usual the steam reviews are full of bullshit jokes and memes that i can't tell if any are genuine.
The spark units are fun and come with decent fire power. it's a small touch but my favourite part about the dlc is the names for the Spark rank tree. You start as a squire and at one point are a paladin.
Man the last gift mission was rather good, doing it within the first month on commander felt like long war all over again
So if Shen's a specialist, the commander is a psi-op, and Bradford is a ranger, is Tygan a sharpshooter or a grenadier?
So if Shen's a specialist, the commander is a psi-op, and Bradford is a ranger, is Tygan a sharpshooter or a grenadier?
Tygan doesn't really look like he's any sort of class. I mean he's a doctor and doesn't have any combat experience so, at best I give him Rookie.
Nah, obviously Tygan is gene-trooper.
Tygan's probably psi-ops. Or a VIP.
