With some of those new classes, would it be worth it to re-subscribe to the SMG pack?
Currently doing a vanilla Legend difficulty playthrough, and i'm curious to know if this is just me.
I'm not against missing high % shots at all, but the regularity of it happening to me is positively ridiculous. and in return i've not had a single sub 50% shot hit all game.
When the enemy does not need to die, the shots will land. But when an enemy positively has to be dealt with that turn, everyone in the squad will fuck it up. Not dodges / grazed either, just straight up missing shots when they really matter every single time.
Thankfully no one has died yet but i have had so many people sickbay'd by absolutely stupid odds. The lastest put my only captain out for 20 odd days after a single stun lancer on 1 HP standing in the open, managed to survive my entire 6 man squad (including a sniper with multiple pistol shots in a turn) all shooting from an elevated position with none of them having less than 75%, Each and every single one of them missed.
I'm fucking cracking up.

That's just you man, and better yet, that's xcom baby! This is the result of not praying daily to RNGesus. There was a time where I didn't either, and I payed the price heavily, back in Long War with that one terror mission incident I'd rather forget ever happening. Ever since then, I sacrifice several rookies a day to keep the gods pleased. You should try it.
Was hoping the alien pack would be out too. The lws mods together will practically be their own expansion.

Apparently a LW dev in the X2 modding Discord said its gonna come out in the next week or 2. Then there's one final mod that won't be out for a while.

Yeah, I saw it mentioned and linked in a Beagle stream once but I was watching a VoD so the invite had ran out and its talked about on /xcg/ every now and then.
Okay well, I gave a quick glance at all the new 70 perks or so that they've added, and I gotta say it's nothing really remarkable.
About 50% of them are just straight out of EU/EW/Long War. Some have slightly modified stats which make them insanely OP might I add, such as Bring Em On being able to reach +8 crit damage.
Another 40% of them are "inspired" from EU/EW/Long War. Things like Evasive where it gives you +5 dodge per enemy you can see up to 50 (Which feels way too strong) and then the really really boring ones, such as stat boosting ones. +1 to primary weapon, +2 to primary weapon, you know, those kinds (Why these aren't things such as weapon mods, I'll never know).
And the last 10% are kinda all over the place. It feels like only 2-3 of all these skills are somewhat original and sound decent at the same time, and the rest are just mind boggling. Like this one "[B]Commisar - Pistol shots against allies who have been mind-controlled by enemies have +50 to hit, cannot be dodged, and automatically kill the target if a hit occurs.[/B]" Why on earth would I take this? Am I misunderstanding something here? It's basically advocating bad-play, where you'd kill the person who is MCed instead of the MCer.
Laser weapons, although awkwardly added to fit in between mag and beam with just middleground damge, have some really nice modeling done on them. Plus all the attachments are a very nicely added bonus.

But it says pistol shots against allies. Basically if a soldier of yours gets MCed by a Sectoid, you can insta-kill the soldier with this pistol shot. At least that's what I'm getting out of this.

Technically, wouldn't a MCed enemy be your ally, even temporarily?
I mean, that's the ONLY way I could even vaguely justify this perk.

Temporary mindcontrol something to bring it close for execution, that'd actually fairly viable. Wonder if it counts for hacked robots too?
Nope, I just checked the code. It only works against Soldiers and they also have to be mind controlled.

Well i just came back from a retalliation mission straight outta the twilight zone.
It all started after the end of my first turn when an Advanced Advent Trooper somewhere way of in the fog decided it'd be a great idea to walk through fire and start burning itself to death.
Upon doing this, The Advent Torch along with his stunlancer and berserker comrade activated, in doing so the stun lancer and zerk not wishing to miss out on the fun decided they too wanted to combust themselves by running through the same fire. This enrages the berserker who then kills the trooper and then stunlancer on the aliens turns ...
Little while later, a the same Berserker comes into range of my squad who are already fighting a pod, it comes bumbling over and knocks one of the Advent Troopers unconcious, it then burns to death.
I had no idea advent could go unconcious but i don't care, Lucky day i guess, I go about my buisness and end my turn, the aliens do nothing and then it's my turn again, at which point the Guy who was out cold, stands up again without a gun.

I cannot shoot him because it does not appear as a target, curious to see what happens i leave it alone, it in turn does nothing except every couple of turns it would go back to sleep / wake up again.

Also from that point onwards every enemy on the map was frozen in place, even the remaining faceless revealed itself and just stood on the spot poiting at me.

Welcome to the infamous game breaker glitch. When I had that glitch every single mission after it had all the aliens just stand there and take it until you restart the game.

If it's coming out in the next week or two I might drop my current play and wait. I bad at managing the geoscape. Avatar project just ticks up and up, can't do much when I don't have the contacts to get over to them. Also wish I could get psi labs up earlier. By the time I get them I've got full psi amp and stuff.

So, I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong, but when I put my SPARK unit in Lily's shop to be repaired for some reason it never does. Am I missing something?
I've been working on something else lately, its Deckard's Blaster/.223 pistol from Fallout 2/That Gun from New Vegas. I haven't given it any SFX yet, since I have yet to find one.
I've also been trying to squash a nasty bug with the SVD not playing the firing sound when the game's FPS goes below 30. Still no luck. Anyways some screenshots. Right now, the grip is the only thing that's customizable. I'll consider changing it later on.
