Do I actually need the MCM for the music packs to work? Seems kinda unnecessary unless the MCM has some other function to it besides configuring.

You can also install, configure it, then disable it. The Music Modding System will remember the settings.
Anyone got experience with model rigging care to give me some pointers? specifically for Xcom2 and for an absolute amature. I have the armature / bones but i got no idea how i go about replacing the prop assigned to it with my own. As for the teal'c / appophis symbol, I wanna add a few more things and make a pack before i stick it on the workshop.

Well it's been a while but the low poly model is almost done. [IMG]http://i67.tinypic.com/64hxxc.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://i65.tinypic.com/sz8mfk.jpg[/IMG] Got a bunch of smoothing errors to sort out around the back end, the topology is a bit shite for the UV / bump map so i gotta work on that too, that NVG mount is a placeholder to see how the smoothing is, i got a better one ready to swap in. [IMG]http://i67.tinypic.com/1qr6kx.jpg[/IMG] Trouble is i'm not happy with the front, the reference pictures i used sadly didnt match up correctly and as a result the front of the helmet follows the shape of the skull too much, gets really narrow. I did however managed to get it in game after a couple of weeks trying, the straps were manipulated by the wrong bones but it's a start.

Won't have access to my PC for a few days so it's on hold for a while, in the mean time having been fucked over by it too many times, i'm gonna have a bash at modding burning. It's just ended my best Ironman legend run to date. It's a completely flawless gameplay run to this point and on this particular mission Every single enemy on the board is dead. And then my guy spontainously combusts because a grenade i threw at an enemy quiet far away somehow spread in a single turn across 5 feet of concrete floor and burned his wall down setting the fucker on fire while i could do fuck all to stop it, 5 turns away from the EVAC, and no water around to put him out and far too early in the game to be taking a medkit. He dies, the rest of the sqaud all panic and no one gets out the level except the VIP. Back to fucking gate crasher for the 50th time. It's bloody infuriating, that you can't sacrafice a turn and just roll on the fucking floor, or have a buddy pat them out. So yeah, i'm gonna try and implement an ability along those lines, i'm sick of the enviroment fucking me over when Advent are already doing it. Edit; Scratch that, fuck me this is why i love the steam workshop, someone's already done it.

Yeah, OpsCore/FAST and ProTec are two different helmets. The latter are the helmets used by Delta Force in Mogadishu while OpsCore/FAST are used by pretty much everyone these days.

These days US airborne (and maybe some other military units) use it during HALO jumps because unlike a kitted-out OpsCore/FAST helmet it doesn't add 10 metric kilos to your head which allows for better mobility, ventilation etc.
2nd month UFO on IM Legend, no where i can go to evade the damn thing because there was only 2 places open to move so thanks game. Iv'e done a few UFO defence missions so i know the score but what it threw at me, 1 turn into the mission overwatching from the ramp was litterally impossible to deal with. 5 stunlancers, 2 officers, 2 sectoids, 5 troopers, 2 vipers. none of them bunched up. for grenades. And each turn there after activated another pod, i quit and deleted the save before the end but i'd killed 8 only to have had 9 repalce them, Stunlancers and Officers. And in return i'd lost 3 of my best troops 2 cpls left and a bunch of rookies, the first airborne reinforcements they got was 2 stunlacers and a captain. Fuck me it was rough. this was the 5th mission.
So I keep getting to the exact same problem. I get resistance comms literally withing days of getting my 2 week countdown, and it takes too long to contact the regions to get to the nearest facility. Any tips in getting the comms up really soon because thats the part I struggle with. I focus on getting the techs and such relevant to the battlescape, so my geoscape game inevitably goes south every time.

I focus on getting the techs and such relevant to the battlescape, so my geoscape game inevitably goes south every time.[/QUOTE] Difficulty? for legend IMO you need it unlocked ASAP, Biochi, officer autop, Res Coms should be the first things you unlock, The only time I tech something else is if i manage to find a stock, in which case i'll go modular weapons because it's a guarentee'd kill. Forget about everything else, a nano vest is one less grenade / flashbang, not worth it. If you fail to get an Engineer in the first month you might as well write the game off, you'll fall too far behind the curve and won't be able to keep up. First building should be the GTS, train a grenadier and try your best to get a Sgt for the +1 squad size before the first Retalliation mission and a Cpl ranger with concealment but don't worry too much if you can't, you're likely to fail that mission even with the extra man anyway unless you get really luckly, the penalty is nothing to be scared of, just get your troops through the mission, even if it means you camp in the corner of the map and slog it out, Fuck the Civilians, evac if you can't do it. Next building should be the AWC, you need to halve the wounded timer. Then Power relay, then Comm relay. Do not spend intell on the black market during the first couple of months unless you've got like 300 through rewards. Do that and you should see you through the first 2 months and set you up to take down the blacksites, pending your on battlefeild results of course.
I'm only on commander but the advice isnt less relevant. Its not like I wait long on the tech, but by the by the time I build it it's always way too late.

Very much jumping the gun with this casue i havent published anything, but also working on a PASGT Helmet, primarily because it's the one found in stargate and i wanna turn xcom into GateCom. Chrome or Nippon? I think the latter espically would be fitting adding a country theme to genji since you can't put a flag on him
