Just installed this again to try out Long War 2. Any speed-up mods you guys would recommend?
"Stop Wasting My Time" and "Evac All" are both nice quality of life things.
campaign
did you name (and design) my character ingame after my OC? because if so i love you
Okay, so I did some scanning thing where I found a deactivated Advent Mec and captured it, but I have no idea where to find it.
I found a really good Twitter account
So this is my first time playing any XCOM game. Picked up XCOM 2 yesterday and have been getting my ass kicked :v: had to repeat the first mission a good 8 times (on normal difficulty) and finally completed it with 3 dead and 1 severely injured! yay! Later on, I had this happen.
Just did a "Swarming" mission in Long War 2. [t]http://i.imgur.com/d6WLox2.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/WJqRJIM.jpg[/t] Don't do "Swarming" missions.

Is there any workaround for the avenger leg bug that's been happening after completing missions? It seems to happen almost every 2 missions or so for me
Is there any workaround for the avenger leg bug that's been happening after completing missions? Jesus. How many times can you fail a coin flip? I've been save scumming this 52% hack at least 20 times now, still haven't gotten it. edit: Ok, I've done this at least 40 times now. Am I missing something? I even set up a macro to go through the steps to get to the bot :v:
Jesus. How many times can you fail a coin flip? Try taking a shot at an alien or hacking something else first to get another roll.
Is there any workaround for the avenger leg bug that's been happening after completing missions? It seems to happen almost every 2 missions or so for me
I've heard it's related to the uniforms manager bug, if you have used/are using it.
Quick little batch of mission status: Rescue resistance contacts: This one started me off way too far from spawn again, and to make it more painful, I had to go around the building in order to enter it without triggering every single pod on the map simultaneously. Just cheesed it real hard on the last turn by running past the last pod which was waiting at EVAC. Still, a mission with no injuries and deaths is fine by me. Luckily nothing big that time. That annoyance aside, every enemy turn for some reason a Berserker would try to kill soldiers from her own pod. By the time I reached the Datatap she killed 3 soldiers so I only had to deal with her. So uh, thanks I suppose? Decided to move the squad ontop of the Bridge so I can engage 1 pod at a time. Murdering was done successfully: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/82590107441176512/FEDFEE031C491A77A722B4D2347AA8A15C8F46BA/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/82590107441178000/B73F13B5A8E1ABC9145A87DB60D7A5E7F5D7BCA3/[/t]
did you name (and design) my character ingame after my OC? because if so i love you
Yep, figured might as well.
Okay, so I did some scanning thing where I found a deactivated Advent Mec and captured it, but I have no idea where to find it.
I didn't see anyone else answer but it's a Resistance MEC, so it will go to one of your havens and when you have a mission there it will show up to defend it or find infiltrators like a soldier. They make things REALLY easy.
Might as well mod the game to give you 100% to hack all the time if you're going to do this tbh
I only do it if one of the rewards is a permanent hacking bonus. I just can't let that get away from me. I had the same problem as him, but instead I quit the game and tried later, and it worked. I just killed four out of five aliens in a single pod by exploding a fuel container next to them and apparently that doesn't aggro the pod if it hadn't spotted you before so I just had the one remaining survivor continue patrolling through the area acting as if nothing had happened.
o i c
I just realized I worded that kind of badly and I don't want to spread misinformation, when I say it will show up to find infiltrators like a soldier, I don't mean you don't have to base a soldier at the haven to root out faceless. They just show up as an extra trooper during a mission like when you assign someone to lead a haven.
I just killed four out of five aliens in a single pod by exploding a fuel container next to them and apparently that doesn't aggro the pod if it hadn't spotted you before so I just had the one remaining survivor continue patrolling through the area acting as if nothing had happened.
This is something iv'e ment to bring up a few times in the past. If you find say an early game 3 man advent pod, if move your men in such a manner so as to lose line of sight on 2 of them leaving only 1 left and you manage to kill him in a single action. The pod does not activate. It goes about it's patrol. Most of the time that's not very helpfull because of timers, but on missions without timers it makes for a stupidly effective strategy as you break concealment, get a free kill and then get a free overwatch trap on the pod that comes back. Also, i'm sure some of you already know this. but if you use a concealed ranger to spot enemies at a 2 dash move away distance, and then you snipe them. The enemy will not move towards you, it simply runs about in a 10 tile radius allowing you time to simply pick the whole lot off from complete safety. They only move towards you if any enemy gets LOS on you. HOWEVER, there are some enemies that will come for you and when they get LOS everything else becomes aware. All MEC's, Sectopods, gatekeepers and Archons,. Everything else sit's there and takes it. LW2 hasnt fixed those so far as iv'e experienced.
Has there been a mod for longwar 2 that extends the timers yet? I can't stand those short-ass timers on those stupid large maps anyomore.
Has there been a mod for longwar 2 that extends the timers yet? I can't stand those short-ass timers on those stupid large maps anyomore.
True Concealment is pretty rad.

Oh man, I just had the best mission. I weeded out a faceless from my haven, went down to kill it, and the game decided "hey, let's give half of them shotguns, just to fuck with him. Luckily, first pod is patrolling next to an upturned car blocking LOS that I can hid everybody behind, making them easy pickings at close range. I go off hunting for the next pod, and head into a half-destroyed building. I go up to the back door, position everybody, open it, and their entire pod is standing there, two feet away from my shotgunners, with a propane tank right behind them. Life is good.
Ahhhh, there is nothing like playing XCOM 2 for 6 hours straight thanks to LW2. Good times.
