This might sound weird, but is there any place where I could get a PAL Super Nintendo controller? I like the colored buttons instead of the drab purple ones. They should work with NTSC systems right?
I believe PAL controllers work with NTSC systems, but not vice versa. You're probably only going to be able to get one if you go to a European version of an online store. Amazon.co.uk has some. £8.00 is roughly $13.00 USD.
I'm not so sure how well this fits into this subject, and I'm hoping this isn't considered warez (if it is definitely tell me so I can snip this), but I want to extract a few music tracks from a certain PS2 game I own (Pirates: Legend of the Black Kat, which was a pretty decent hack-and-slash with some naval combat made by the same people who made the original Command and Conquer games) because I really loved the soundtrack. However, after uploading the ISO from my disc and extracting the .asf files to a folder and playing them (and after getting a codec pack so they could actually play), all I get is a garbled mess.
I know the actual music tracks work as I can play my game both on my PS2 and on an emulator with all the tracks working, but when I extract them, nothing. Would anyone know what I am supposed to do? I assume I'm missing a step and not extracting something else or I'm missing yet another codec for them.
I would capture them as I play, or just go on youtube.
In other, more aquatic news, anyone know how to get Wiimotes working with dolphin?

Have you tried looking here? I think they have an actual in-depth guide on their wiki but I can't seem to find it right now.
So ive been playing wind waker again, except it freezes like every 20 minutes or black screens, would it be dolphin or the iso?

Most probably the emulator but it probably even depends on your PC specs.
I doubt the ISO has any problems.
I think the OP could really use some info on iOS and Android emulators. Personally, I want to know if there are any good SNES and N64 emulators out for the Android.

I also recently won an online auction for Final Fantasy 7 which should arrive tomorrow, went and visited my parents so i could pick up my Playstation, gonna get nostalgic up in this bitch
Sorry if anybody has questioned this before, but does anybody know how to fix these weird artifacts I am getting in SMG2?

EDIT: fixed this! if anybody else has the same problem, I fixed it by going into graphics, hacks, and changing EFB copies to texture. hope this possibly helps somebody else out.
Totally spent my entire day playing Theme Hospital. Using DOSbox of course.
"Nurse required in pharmacy!"
Skyroads for dos is free on the devs site if anyone is interested. It's pretty good, hasn't ages perfectly though.

The best of the Final Fantasy series too.
Is it possible to use a mouse as the Wiimote pointer with the Dolphin Emulator?
The best of the Final Fantasy series too.
That's not FFIX, silly.
I had forgotten how much i despise random encounters

I thought VI was considered the universal favorite of Final Fantasy?
The only ones I've played are I, a bit of VI, VII, VIII, and X.
I really did like VII and VIII

Yes, but it's harder to do some of the tricks like shaking the Wiimote or twisting it a certain way.

The "universal favourite" is usually 7 or 6, yeah. But it basically boils down to: you probably prefer whichever you played first.

The games usually have pretty varied themes and settings so yeah.

So, games that only require a pointer, like Animal Crossing: City Folk, would be fine?
Is there a link to a tutorial anywhere? I couldn't find one when I looked earlier.
It should be fine, yes. I am pretty sure Dolphin comes with an easy-to-setup Wiimote/mouse thing.
Go to Options >> Wiimote Settings, and make sure Wiimote 1 is set to 'Emulated Wiimote', and then hit 'Configure'. Click on the IR sections and set that up with your mouse movements.

Animal Crossing City Folk also works with the nunchuk. I'd recommend you turn that on and set it up with your WASD keys or whatever you want, it's in the same menu as the Wiimote configuration.

Holy crap, that was a lot easier than I thought.
Thank you so much.
Although, I still can't even get the game to run.
It only hangs on a black screen when it opens.
More specifically, I've done everything this thread says.

Yet, a lot of the options aren't available.
Would Dolphin work well with an i5 3570k 3.4Ghz and 8gb of RAM?

Dolphin worked decently with my core i5 and 3.5gb of ram. You should be fine.

Yeah, I played the first one first, and pretty much went from there, and to me the 2D era games were the best, and VI was the best of those. VII was good in its own rights, but the fanbase where people have tried to turn it into some kind of teenage angsty game has really degraded my views of it.
I don't even care about the bad fanbase, what I care about is how Square-Enix destroyed it with their angst-filled entries like Advent Children or Crisis Core, to appeal to the shitty fanbase (and because their new "lead" was one of those people) Sure CC was an alright game, but Genesis was a completely pointless character that only served to hurt Sephiroth as a character, and they made Zack such an unbelievably perfect (and annoying) person that it was hard to stomach.
I like to think of those 2 things as fan-fiction, because they were basically made by the character artist instead of the actual story writers the original game had, and I think that validates my views on not including them with FF7, especially considering it was supposed to be a standalone story.

Dolphin works flawlessly with my 2.4GHz E6600 and 460GTX, 4 GB Ram .
Also why is getting DECENT emulators for Linux SO HARD.
I'm trying to play some GBC games on my netbook and there is not ONE single emulator with GUI that works.
VBA kinda does but the sound is screwed and speed hovers from 84 to 110% even when I check throttle to 100
