[ Unfortunately I think you'll have to Jailbreak for that one. But they have amazing game support once you do. [editline]17th July 2012[/editline]
welp oh well i'm getting my new computer really soon so i'll be able to emu gamecube and up also for the cheats in gameboid: when i entered codes in for pokemon emerald to get the event things, i didn't enter a master code and it worked (almost) perfectly. it was action replay codes btw
Has PCSX2 been optimized a lot recently?, I tried it again after a few years and was able to play Final Fantasy 12 without any speedhacks; as a matter of fact the emulator had to adjust for having too many frames.
I wanted to play FFX and FFXII again, so i downloaded PCSX2, got an ISO maker and ripped FFX played through that, came to play FF12 but the disc was scratched so i couldnt play it, or rip it. so i bought a ps2. still didnt work so i rebought the game. which works as an ISO through PCSX2 >.< i prefer playing it on a real console though
I just want to say I fucking love this thread. Does anyone here use emulators on anything else besides a smartphone/PC? I got an old xbox that's been modded, I love playing my NES games on it.
I homebrew'd my Wii and slapped a shitload of SNES/NES/Genesis games on it. Works perfectly with that classic controller, I've been playing Earthbound and about 50 other SNES games the past few weeks. The Wii N64 and PS1 emulators are quite bad, though. Might be the hard-drive I have connected that's fucking those up, now that I think about it.

I used to fiddle around with home brew channel quite a lot. On a really quick unrelated note; I'm building a portable N64, so I won't have to emulate N64 games on my laptop anymore :D
I made these for myself, but maybe somebody else could have some use for them. Some small desktop icons for emulator shortcuts. I'll update the thread with a credit to you!
I find Desume is the better DS emulator most of the time because you rarely have to apply a Anti-piracy patch to the Roms. Only games I ran into have to apply anti-piracy was Pokemon B/W and B/W2 Now a days most roms come pre-patched so you don't have to worry about it unless you get them the day of release.
I really wish there was a n64 emulator out there that could completely handle conkers bad fur day. Only one emulator works, and only one video plugin works ok with it. Even then there is a ton of artifacts and crashes. They need to release the original n64 version to ps3 and xbox live or something, I can't pay 50 dollars for a used copy.
One game for psx that I'm looking for...
Is there some kind of guide on how to use HyperSpin? I can't get it to recognize my ROMs, and I want it to only show the games that it can find instead of every goddamn game made. [editline]17th July 2012[/editline] Ah, nevermind. I found the documentation on their site. [editline]17th July 2012[/editline] goddamnit hyperspin is stupid, I have to rename all of my roms to be named exactly as they are in hyperspin's shitty thing
Using project64 just fine, but are there ways to get a higher resolution/antialiasing and crap?
What are some options to get the PS2 emulator to run faster? I got it to run and recognize my controller but it was all in slooow mooootion.
What game are you trying? You can try speedhacks, although it's not guaranteed. They're under config>>emulation settings>>speedhacks if you are using PCXS2.

Unlike VC, it gives more control with 16:9 correction and turbo buttons.
I really wish we could get a "complete" 64 emulator. Every single one of them I've tried either has weird quirks or doesn't have full compatibility, or requires a lot of fucking around with menus to get to work halfway decently. I mean people out there can figure out how to emulate a goddamned Wii. But still haven't quite mastered 64 emulation. I mean I know that's partially due to how the 64 was built, but damn it.
Project 64 works fine for me :D

There are just some few games that are really glitchy with it. Only ones that come across my mind is Mario Tennis and Conker's Bad Fur Day. Anyways, since n64 games are easier to find than snes and nes games when theres a n64 game I really want to try I just buy it and play it on my n64. It's just too bad Conker's Bad Fur Day is so rare and sought after.
probably been asked before, but is it possible to play Skyward Sword on Dolphin without using the wiimote?
Not that I'm aware of.

One I got when the game came out, another from when my sister's boyfriend came to my house and forgot it there. Lucky me, I guess. You could try emulating the Xbox remake, although I don't know if anything is changed or if it's even the same game.

I'm think of getting a SNES and Gameboy color emulator. Any good games for each emulators? Trying to pass the time for my last weeks of summer.
I'm think of getting a SNES and Gameboy color emulator. Any good games for each emulators? Trying to pass the time for my last weeks of summer.
Super Metroid, Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, EarthBound, Super Mario RPG

Avoid Romancing SaGa 3 at all costs unless you either like complex mechanics or masochism. Game Boy Color: If any game satisfied me as a kid, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was a nice RPG with catchy music. Obligatory LoZ: Oracle of Ages/Seasons.

If you can run Gamecube games you should be able to run Playstation 2 games. It also really depends on the specific game you're running. Some run better than others.
Any good Dreamcast emulators?
I was trying the first .hack game also. My aunt rants and raves about the series so I thought I would give it a whirl. Seeing as I don't have a PS2 and they stopped having PS2 compatibility on PS3 I tried to emulate it.
