Shame I never got Xenoblade to work on Dolphin, it would have been gorgeous.
Guys, get Tetris Battle Gaiden, it's fucking brilliant. It's a 2 player versus tetris with a bunch of special powers that both help you and fuck over the opponent. It's obviously best with 2 players but the AI you can play as is pretty smart too and puts up a decent challenge.
Hey, does anyone want to see how good snes9x's netplay is? We could try Wildguns or something.
Hey, does anyone want to see how good snes9x's netplay is? We could try Wildguns or something.
Unfortunately while I would be unable to test with you, can you please post the variables and results? I would appreciate it :)
From what I tried.. Netplay really isn't that reliable.
From what I tried.. Netplay really isn't that reliable.
It is VERY game to game. Stuff like Mario Party uses random values for say, a dice throw. Near instant desync. But Mario Kart ? Shit plays like butter on my wiener. So smooth, so satisfying. I've played several games with Project 64 and netplay. One I can't get to work ( on netplay ) but want so damn bad is Road Rash.
Road Rash over netplay would be the boss.
HyperSpin is a literal fuck to get working.
From what I tried.. Netplay really isn't that reliable.
It all comes down to your internet speed and such. I've played entire games of Mario Party over Kaillera before. Mupen works very well at netplay FIY.
HyperSpin is a literal fuck to get working.
I love HyperSpin now, but I am still setting it up after 3 days. I finally got PSCX2 to work with HyperSpin; do you want me to upload what I have?
So I've been using Dolphin to emulate Gamecube games. I think it's safe to say that Haar is the best character.
What game is that?
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I think. I really like it because if you lose a character in a battle, they're gone for good.
Let me guess everyone here got their ROM's straight from their cartridges! There's actually a grey area in the legal system in which even if you own the game, if you don't get your ROM straight from your own game, what you're doing might be illegal. Also, if anyone knows the pros and cons of BSNES and SNES9X, I would appreciate that.
I don't know why but BSNES runs awful on my computer, but ZSNES runs fine.
Anyone know how to get netplay to work on SNES9X, with both computers running the same version? I forward BOTH of my routers to port 6096, making sure to bind the ports to the correct IP addresses. I disable my firewall, and then I try my external IP. That didn't work so I set up a Hamachi server, invited my friend to it, and tried to get him to connect through my Hamachi IP. That did not work either. What am I doing wrong? [sub][sup]ps thunder force iv is a great game pls play it[/sup][/sub]
Games that aren't supposed to run shitty on my PC (in PCXS2) are running shitty. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 runs like a slideshow on the latest svn version, but trying it on the last stable version with the same exact settings is less of a slideshow (but still slow). According to this, it should be running flawlessly with my 560 TI and 3 GHz CPU. What can I do? [editline]21st July 2012[/editline] Also, what's the best 3DO emulator?

I might share my Project 64 config after I get it working good.
wish i could build some sort of little emulation pc and hook it to my console crt tv for extra realness it would be like the ouya, except cooler and more existent
Also, what's the best 3DO emulator?
http://www.fourdo.com/ This is the only one I can find.
Well, made SNES9X 1.51 work with netplay, but the thing is my friend lags like a bitch when he's playing with me. We're talking ping into the seconds here. I might try out ZSNES with him but I think he is getting tired of all this.
So I was playing Resident Evil 4 on PC2SX or whatever and everything was fine and dandy until I got to chapter 5-1. I was in the freezer and I got the thermal scope for my rifle, then the regenerator thawed out and started shambling towards me. I look through the scope and everything's purple. I can't see shit. I paniced and ran back into the room I originally thawed because I thought the cold room was affecting the scope. Now it's CQC as the regenerator stumbles into the cramped hallway, I look down the scope again. Still purple. I start panicing as the regenerator is only a few feet away, so I break out the broken butterfly revolver and shoot out its legs to slow it down. I went to run around it, but I forgot it can actually move faster without its legs and just flopping around. And it lunged on me. Still panicing I shook it off and broke out my striker, shooting about 20 rounds into its back. But fuck me, it still wasn't dead. Still panicing I went to grab a flashbang to buy me some time to heal and reload but I accidentally grabbed a frag without realizing. I threw it, and by the time I realized what happened I got re-lunged and the frag went off, the combination of being faceraped by the regenerator and the frag killed me. Turns out it's the only video error that appears unless you play in software mode. I also wish The Bard's Tale worked, there's tons of video errors in that game.
I'm not sure why you want to play Resident Evil 4 on a PS2 emulator. The PC version plays (gameplay wise) like shit unless you have a controller anyways, and you can download texture packs for it to replace the buttons on the screen with PS2 buttons instead of vague numbered buttons. [editline]21st July 2012[/editline] Also, 4DO is the only 3DO emulator that I could get working. It is very nice to set up, fairly user friendly, etc.

Try fiddle around with it, and i'll take a day to download it and try messing around as well... then get back to you. I've had similar graphics glitches, but nothing that really destroyed my game experience, like the Conkers Bad Fur Day main menu, or a block of text not popping up properly in Donkey Kong country. [editline]22nd July 2012[/editline]
Also, what's the best 3DO emulator?
As the others said, http://www.fourdo.com/ is really the only working one. There is also http://www.freedo.org/, but it's slightly dodgy. Edit: I think MESS has 3DO support, and there is a Linux adaptation of MESS that is designed for 3DO
Here is a HyperSpin module I made for PCSX2 if anybody has a use for it. It took me awhile to figure out how to get it to work, but I got it. I think it's pretty clean. It also has a theme, example game boxart/video shit, folders and everything to get you started. You just have to choose where the emulator is (make sure you are launching pcsx2.exe, most versions should work) and where the games are by launching HyperHQ.

I finally got metal gear solid working with a gamepad and perfect graphics feels good man Any other games you folks would recommend for PSX?

Netplay with ZSNES v1.42 over hamachi works remarkably well, lag is barely noticeable and there are no synchronization issues. Managed to get through 3 bosses in Secret of Mana 2 with a friend just fine. You can get 1.42 here. Oh and through some sort of mysterious sorcery Windwaker, Star Fox: Assault, and Custom Robo run perfectly.
