Netplay with ZSNES v1.42 over hamachi works remarkably well, lag is barely noticeable and there are no synchronization issues.
Managed to get through 3 bosses in Secret of Mana 2 with a friend just fine.
You can get 1.42 here.
Oh and through some sort of mysterious sorcery Windwaker, Star Fox: Assault, and Custom Robo run perfectly.
Does your friend live 7 time zones away from you?
Won't let this thread die.
Just got RE2, working fine.

I've had issues with RE2 on some versions of ePSXe, but not others. Audio/graphics issues. Very odd.
Here is a HyperSpin module I made for PCSX2 if anybody has a use for it. It took me awhile to figure out how to get it to work, but I got it. I think it's pretty clean. It also has a theme, example game boxart/video shit, folders and everything to get you started. You just have to choose where the emulator is (make sure you are launching pcsx2.exe, most versions should work) and where the games are by launching HyperHQ.
How do you install this?

What about the PC version of 2? Yes there is a pc version.
How do you install this?
Install HyperSpin (link is in the first post), then drop the 'HyperSpin' folder in that download into the HyperSpin folder that you installed. You should open up HyperHQ.exe, it comes with HyperSpin and will be in the main folder. Go to Wheel settings, and find Sony Playstation 2, and set up where your emulator and games are in the little thingies.

I love that shit, it's pretty damn playable. But I haven't done much of it.
Also, if the thread dies, i'll just do a major information update and make a V2
I cant get gamecube emulation to run smoothly. Tried getting Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance to work.
Is dolphin the best gamecube emulator?
or is there a better one, ive been trying to play zelda: wind waker on dolphin but after about 10 minutes of playing the screen will just go black an i have to restart
So the OpenPandora starts degrading after about two months, the hinge is completely loose after being barely used at all, the device boots and doesnt at will and the thumbsticks are extremely unresponsive, even though I only ever used them for the mouse.

Even after I installed HyperSpin, I still couldn't find the Sony Playstation 2 on the wheel. I copied and replaced the folders with the ones you gave me but I still can't find the option on the wheel.

That's a damn shame. It's such a cool little device too

I've played that game for hours on that emulator and never encountered that problem.
Perhaps you're using an outdated version?
Also, try running on different settings, like DX10 or DX9. (DX9 Usually works best)
So I was playing Resident Evil 4 on PC2SX or whatever and everything was fine and dandy until I got to chapter 5-1. I was in the freezer and I got the thermal scope for my rifle, then the regenerator thawed out and started shambling towards me. I look through the scope and everything's purple. I can't see shit. I paniced and ran back into the room I originally thawed because I thought the cold room was affecting the scope. Now it's CQC as the regenerator stumbles into the cramped hallway, I look down the scope again. Still purple. I start panicing as the regenerator is only a few feet away, so I break out the broken butterfly revolver and shoot out its legs to slow it down.
I went to run around it, but I forgot it can actually move faster without its legs and just flopping around. And it lunged on me. Still panicing I shook it off and broke out my striker, shooting about 20 rounds into its back. But fuck me, it still wasn't dead. Still panicing I went to grab a flashbang to buy me some time to heal and reload but I accidentally grabbed a frag without realizing. I threw it, and by the time I realized what happened I got re-lunged and the frag went off, the combination of being faceraped by the regenerator and the frag killed me.
Turns out it's the only video error that appears unless you play in software mode.
I also wish The Bard's Tale worked, there's tons of video errors in that game.
If you want to kill a regenerator the easiest and the most ammo conserving way, shoot off it's leg and then keep knifing it while the regenerator is down.
Thanks to EPSXE and PEC (the Gameshark type system), even Final Fantasy VIII is good.
Only the first four games to go and then I have finished every game in the series at least once.

I'd agree with cold finger... honestly, DX10 isn't gonna do much anyway

It's the best. Definitely for that game.
It's ALWAYS worth trying out other emulators if you suspect your game isn't supported.
Trying to map N64 buttons to a Playstation controller is a challenge. However, I did it, and managed to keep the same amount of awkward by using two hands on the same side of the controller.
I should buy one of them N64-USB adapter dongles I saw at a store. $25, but I'm sure it would be worth it.
Hmm, maybe its just the wind waker i got thats a little screwy
Usually the ROMs themselves don't have much to do with the emulation errors, but if you aren't too sure, I suggest Emuparadise
Watch out with the piracy there, pal.
I really don't like Emuparadise, but it's one of the only two sites I know that carry Gamecube ROMs. I don't like downloading everything in parts so slowly. Not that I would do such a thing, being it apparently illegal and all.
I tried to emulate Viewtiful Joe.
Oh dear god the lag.
Kingdom Hearts on the other hand seems just fine, even on my wreck of a PC.

It's weird. The game's in my opinion fairly pretty, and it ran perfectly on my PC. The same machine that ran the first .hack game, an rpg that has nothing going on and is very ugly, half the speed.
Unfortunately, KH2 didn't work.

Of course, I would never condone such things, but somebody told me a rumour that you can download the entire Gamecube romset from Bitgamer.
Of course, this is purely a rumour and I would never condone such things.
How are you guys playing n64 games online?
Probably by using Project64k
Ugh, Wind Waker on Dolphin keeps crashing after random cutscenes. I got around it the first time by fucking up the settings and then putting them back right, but the same thing happened again after I beat the first boss, and I can't fix it.

Oh fuck yes
God damn, how did you manage that?
PC version, some skilled fellow named felix retextured the world map with great textures, as well as a bunch of battle backgrounds with really nice textures.
Also, custom models for Cloud and shit.
Ever see that relatively poor PC port FF7 got in 98? - bunch of awesome people reverse engineered shit and made custom drivers for it to support some dandy ass stuff, like this:
