Love playing old games on my PC. It's great being able to experience all the classics I missed out on as a kid.
I help this guy out

Man, what the hell happened with square's character designs for men?
They go from this:

To this (ugh):

How can they even call those twisted things arms?

FF VII was Nomura's first try on designing characters iirc, guess he was still looking for his own style.
He's the last good thing about S-E nowadays aside from the music composers but I have to admit, even though I love KH, his designs tend to be pretty stupid. KH games are a perfect example, the characters couldn't really be any more anime~~~.
I rememer playing an old game that nowadays is completely free. It was called Dink Smallwood.

I don't remember if this game ever hit it "big", but still.
It had some amazing soundtracks (which were all digitized classical music that fit the era the game played out)

I'm okay with some of it for their new games, but I hate when he takes earlier FF characters and makes them look like anorexic people who throw up after they eat anything. I mean after all, some of them are supposed to be in tip-top shape for the jobs they do.
Though I suppose I have more of a problem with how they drastically change characters, like how every time you see a new game with Cloud in it they make him more Emo, when he wasn't even an emo guy in the original game except for a small part (which serves to further the story). It just doesn't make sense.
Been playing Paper Mario Thousand Year Door.

I really need to finish that game one of these days.
I got up to like the final boss battle and then quit for some reason.
Last time I played it for real, I couldn't get past the last boss [sp]The Bowser fight beforehand always screwed me over[/sp]
I tried playing PSX Lego Rock Raiders on pSX but I have no music, all other sound is OK but no music.

It's a known bug. Many people encounter it and as I've read, it's pretty difficult to fix :(

I ripped the music because my computer initially recognizes it as a music cd. I guess I can play the tracks back during play, but I do know certain tracks go to certain levels, especially if tracks change during a level.
I wanted to play kingdom hearts on an emulator because I lost my cd. but i don't have my ps2 to get the # to use a ps2 emulator :>
lool get an ps3 and get sum nice graphfics

But ps3 has no games
Alright, so I installed Dolphin and stuck in my Brawl and Klonoha disks, separately of course, to try and play them. Except my DVD drive isn't reading them at all, yet it has no problem reading PS2 games.

Regular DVD drives can't read Wii discs.

Dammit. Guess there's no way to change that, then?
Get an ISO, it's not pirating if you own the game.

It's a legal grey area.
It's a legal grey area.
If it's out of print, it's pretty much no problem in my opinion. Not like they're losing any profit at this point.

I'm pretty sure it's still illegal. It's just not a bad thing to do if you own it.
Speaking of, I got my old copy of Onimusha: Blade Warriors for PCSX2 and am running into a bit of a snag trying to capture the nostalgia.
Whenever I try to boot it up, Full or Fast, it freezes. If anyone has any ideas how to get it to work, I'd be eternally grateful.
Side Note: In the debug menu, this junk repeats:
(SYSTEM.CNF) Detected PS2 Disc = cdrom0:\SLUS_207.10;1
(SYSTEM.CNF) Software version = 1.01
(SYSTEM.CNF) Disc region type = NTSC

It's not bad even if you don't own it, the people who made it get no money no matter what you do.

If you haven't already, try the latest SVN instead of the 0.9.8.
You could ask try asking on their forums, they might know more about the issue.
This person seems to have had the same problem, according to the one of the people that work/worked on PCSX2 it's a pain in the neck, who knows, they might have fixed it already.

Anyone with Brawl running on the emulator have a save game with at least all the characters unlocked? I don't care about the stages, I just want the characters.
Does anybody know if Dark Cloud runs well on a PS2 emulator? I remember playing it ages ago when it came out.
NullDC is ALOT better than Chankast, and SSF is a better Saturn emulator than Satourne.
Also here's a bunch of great arcade emulators.

Got these 4 and a working SNES + controllers for 500 swedish kr. If anyone is in Stockholm i really recommend checking out vårbergs flea market, its this huge underground warehouse where people sell off all kinds of junk.
