thanks to malos we have a fucking ghost in our brand new clubhouse

can't ban or kick or anything. it's also a physical being so we hit them
what the fuck
I had this problem happen a few times in Harrison, glad to see LL has made absolutely zero progress in fixing it.
It has something to do with a bad region cache, if it restarts the ghost might actually still be there and will never disappear. We had a Linden come in and watch, they weren't able to do anything, it's just this fucking specter from a lost world that nobody can figure out. No profile, no nothing, it's just a random UUID that got trapped somewhere in the region and it loads in as an agent for some reason.
Nobody is controlling it or anything, it's just... there.
The ghosts seem to be multiplying

is this some sort of new chinese weapon
I tried attacking it with a pushing weapon last night, and it ended up just crashing Wii60 instead somehow.
Pretty creepy, really.
So the new clubhouse is haunted, great.
Remember, Simhop is happening on Friday, 4:00 PM PST at Koss. You can witness the creepy fucking space station ghost in real time!
build a containment cell around it
unfriended 2: second life
need to see who in the community forced someone to suicide so we dont all die.
by the way its still here.
The answer is to turn your Mother Base into the SCP Foundation, before that thing goes keter on your ass

We had to destroy mother base due to the ghost.
we already have a new clubhouse built

"Young people crying"

Those avatars look a bit disturbingly... young.
so it looks like LL is finally doing something for once.
Poop, INSILICIO and OUTRUN are death.

A perfect example of how awful LSL is and how incompetent LL is that I just wrote having just basically experienced this:
Say you want to get the key of an avatar's active group. This has a few good uses (personally I'm using it to compare against the land group, but you could also make a group URI out of it, among other things).
A long time ago, the powers that be in Linden Lab thought, "You know, scripters might want something where they can tell if a user is in the same group as the object. That'd be super useful for things like access control, so it can allow entire groups to use scripts!" And it was so, with llSameGroup(). Scripters throughout the land rejoiced at this handy function and it was used in millions upon millions of scripts. All you have to do is put the user's UUID (key) in the function, and it would tell you whether the user's active group was the same as the object's group. Neat!
Then some asshole loser came along and knocked on Linden Lab's door. Falcon Linden opened the door, and the user asked, "Hey, you know what would be nice? I'd like to be able to get an avatar's group key. Group keys are useful for many things, and it's very easy to get them with llGetObjectDetails and llGetParcelDetails, so why not have it so we can just query the avatar's group key?"
Falcon Linden replied, "NO THAT'S STUPID YOU'RE DUMB llSameGroup WORKS FINE AND IT IS PERFECT ALSO GETTING AN AVATAR'S GROUP KEY IS VERY RESOURCE INTENSIVE AND LAGGY SO IT WONT HAPPEN WE CAN'T DO IT."
The idiot moron shithead scripter with no good ideas ever, taken aback at the response, meekly suggested, "We can already get everything else about an avatar using llGetObjectDetails, like its name, position, rotation, velocity, size and all that stuff... its group key is the only thing that doesn't work, yet we can get the group key for objects and parcels just fine. Why not just add it in? It can't be that laggy."
Outraged at the scripter's sheer arrogance and lack of respect for his far superior wisdom in all things, Falcon Linden retorted, "THAT'S THE WORST IDEA EVER WHAT IF GRIEFERS GET GROUP KEYS ALSO THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY EVER TO GET THAT INFORMATION SO STUPID GRIEFING GRIEFING GRIEFING YOU MIGHT HACK GROUPS ARE YOU TRYING TO GET BANNED??? ARE YOU TRYING TO STEAL THE PRIVACY OF USERS?!!?? THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO HAVE THEIR GROUP KEY HIDDEN FROM SCRIPTS!!!!!!!!!!!" Falcon then slammed the door shut and went back to breaking literally everything in the game, having only just made it so that physical objects sometimes just stop moving for no articulable reason.
The scripter was not fazed, however. He knew better. He knew that if he filed a JIRA feature request, it would be closed like the four other feature requests for the same simple thing. He would have to make... a workaround.
He toiled for day and night, scripting every possible combination of functions, until late one night, he had a breakthrough.
To get an avatar's group key, all you have to do is get a list of all attachments the avatar is wearing, get the group key of the first attachment, and it will always be the group key of the active group on that avatar. But be forewarned - if the avatar is not wearing any attachments, it is impossible to get the group key.
And that's the story of how every script ever has to get avatar active group keys because Linden Lab doesn't want to actually make a function because of "privacy concerns".
project sansar is getting C# so wooop
Any privacy concerns have become moot after libopenmetaverse happened 10 years ago.
And when you do turn to libopenmetaverse to work around LSL limitations, you end up with 400 kbps worth of ObjectUpdate packets.
I'm fairly sure that's more resource intensive than a LSL script could ever be.
project sansar is getting C# so wooop
That doesn't necessarily mean improved capability.

Fun seem to be over with the NorPhone PBX v1.2, that's a shame.
The games will be disconnected on March 5.
is there a actual reason they are disconnecting the games?
like did the games work on a bug?
is there a actual reason they are disconnecting the games?

The games worked by injecting linked messages using an old PBX model and somebody leaked how it was done so I had to lock it down because people began using it to make a bunch of calls to fuck up the system
edit: as is occurring right now

I think my avatar is finally done after all this time. :)
The donation bag at the clubhouse now gives you a winner rating if you donate 500L$ or more
also its the first time i successfully modeled and textured something in blender, so its unrigged n stuff. feel free to slam it onto a wall or edit its position and wear it on your chest.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/AUYnL7u.png[/t]
also if you already donated 500L$ or more earlier than the donation bag's new script, i am trying to find everyone who did and give them the winner rating. please let me know if you donated over 500L$ and ill give it to ya. this only applies to people who donated at the new clubhouse.

I decided to upload one of my more recent modeling exploits
I still want to believe that SL can look nice
Have you tried black dragon?
black dragon doesn't rescue poorly made sims
SL can look beautiful even in the stock viewer but it really depends on the assets in use.
90% of SL is a hodgepodge of HL2 textures, shittily made & poorly optimized models, furries, anime girls, and porn pictures.
furries
um wow excuse me
