I really gotta hand it to the devs for actually making a good game. After Yooka Laylee I was very wary of yet another kickstarter going back to the roots platformer.
Not everyone can make a great game, but a great game can come from anywhere.
It is also the difference between devs who knows what's best for their game, and devs who makes games to please an audience.
I tried it out, Lilac's mod also lets you beat the rocket Mafia without the time stop hat. It's pretty crazy.
you can already beat the rocket mafia with just the swift hat
when the race starts, go backwards towards the cannon. shoot out into the other side, slide down the railing. if you do it right you can beat him but its very very close
Real important question here, what the hell is the Conductor supposed to be?
Real important question here, what the hell is the Conductor supposed to be?
he's an owl, he has a big beak because he's a loudmouth
He's just a really cartoony owl.
birds don't usually have teeth
Tell that to geese.
birds don't usually have teeth
Don't usually wear clothes, either.
Also that's not *entirely* true
On an entirely different note, Lava Cake Peak has such a damn good piece of music associated with it.
Not sure how many here will get the comparison, but a lot of the soundtrack for Alpine Skyline is giving me low-key Ys vibes, especially the later games (Say Ark of Napishtim, Seven and Celceta, the remake of 4)

a owl
a owl
The grammar police would like a word with you.
Just hit 100%, give me more levels please.
Yeah the game is way too short.
Can't wait for the entirety of Yooka-Laylee to be ported over
should be possible, yes?

Completely different engines so I'd imagine it'd take quite a while.
I'm more excited for Mario 64 maps and stuff.
I want those secret courses from Super Mario Sunshine (considering the time rifts are based on them, it should be easy). Perhaps instead of “I’m a chuckster’ we can use the ice cap to launch ourselves.
Also I’m waiting for the backer/slacker backer hat to be released, so I can go full Mario.

I'd love to see if the Secret Slide is possible to be remade in AHiT.
Also, do you really want Sunshine's Pachinko level that badly? Or the bottled level? Or even the SandBird? [sp]I know you meant the platforming (good) levels but may as well mess with ya since you didnt specify[/sp] Tho I wonder if the last two are even feasible.
Wish the % completion took more things into account. Doesn't feel like I've 100%ed the game when I'm still finding yarn and rift tokens
I just got to [sp]Subcon Forest[/sp] and [sp]The Snatcher is probably one of my favorite characters now, I just wish he had a different dialogue for when you find the last of his traps to get the third contract.[/sp].
Also it's probably my favorite area up to this point.

The bottle level can be done if you're clever enough: Use the Time Bomb as a pseudo-air bubble. of course, this is if you're restricting yourself.

Just 100% HiT [sp]Kinda let down by the lack of a real ending, got all 40 time rifts only to not have some sort of a secret ending, still loved the game all the way through, sometimes the pacing was weird as well with some missions but well worth my time playing the game as a whole.[/sp]

Does giving [sp]moustache girl a time piece[/sp] even do anything ?

[sp]Not really, it just plays a slightly different animation after the dialog box[/sp]
Late Game Spoilers: Here's a video of some a cool cut content from the game.
It figures that right after I get a hat flair I really like from the roulette after clearing a time rift, my computer crashes and when I start the game up again it saved me clearing the level but didn't save the hat.
marathoned through the whole game and finished it but [sp]alpine skyline was fucking gorgeous, really nice area. the manor level in subcon forest was pretty strange though, i was thinking queen vanessa would be a bit more important but no she kind of just appears and you evade her until getting the timepiece in the attic. kind of a shame but cool level overall! cheesed the hell out of the final boss with the time stop hat but it probably wouldve been a huge pain if i hadnt done that. i really do hope we see more of mustache girl sometime and that her and the hat girl can hopefully reconcile in a dlc or something. oh well, at least the game has modding![/sp]
[sp]Speaking of the final boss, did she fall through the world for any of you that used the time stop hat? She did that a ton on the first phase and I had to wait a lot for her to reappear, though still using the hat while she was falling didn't help.[/sp]
[sp]nope she never fell through the world for me, kinda acted as normal. the only real issue ive had in this game is some weird collision issues with certain vents during one of the platforming bits in the battle of the birds finale[/sp]

[sp]There was a planned 3rd floor for the manor that was cut. Had levers and stuff you had to pull from what can be seen of it.
As for Moustache Girl, I didn't touch time stop once. Honestly, after leaving Alpine and doing the Mafia race, I forgot that time stop was even a thing. I really wish it was utilized more. I mean its hat doesn't even have skins.[/sp]
Level Edtior is out. Just be sure you're on the modding beta and just restart steam.

Started to dig around the files and found files for other mods from games like Shovel Knight, Guacamelee, Hyper Light Drifter.

Guys, if you want to access the Level Editor, you need a key code for it which MekuCube is giving out on the Official Hat in Time Discord.
Finally, I finished replaying the game a second time, and here's a list of every diary entry I found in the game.
