I bought the game with the modding update sale, and I gotta say, after completing Mafia Town's first four time pieces and getting two time rifts, i'm really enjoying it so far. It's a little awkward getting used to it, but when I have more time I can probably sink hours into this. Here's hoping the mods just keep on comin' for some more stages and variety.
And maybe a longer wall run.

If you're a backer and you pledge for some of the physical items, it has already started to arrive. If you didn't and wanted to get the box or pins, you still have a chance. If you pledge for the figurine, it'll come at a later date.
Been buying junk from Yetee from years but never any of their cross-promotion stuff. I think I might pick up the poster and one of the shirts.
Well, there goes all my money. Plus they're doing a limited run for the figurines , oh boy. My wallet is going to die.
I'm going to be picking up the Snatcher and the Hourglass shirt, because the Hat Girl shirt will look weird on a male.
i bought the game box, i've wanted it ever since they first showed it off but i never got around to being an OG kickstarter, but i was able to become a slacker backer
Still no word on those post-launch levels?
Not yet, but it will come out this year along with co-op and some extras. Most likely will get information after summer.
i want everything in that store

Luckily you can just skip the entirety of Vanessa's Manor with a hole in the wall.
Bless self-aware speedrun tactics.
Bought this game a few days ago and its so much fun. Some of the levels are challenging but getting through them is so satisfying. Wish I bought it sooner to be honest.
A Hat in Time is one of the few games I beat and then immediately restarted. Not just went on to wrap up a few bits of side content, I mean restarted with a new file and everything.
Friendly reminder that they been teasing somwtimhing over at their twitter page:

Hat Kid controls are soooo damn good that just that alone majes you want to replay the game again. It's hilarious, well-paced but a tad bit short. I did that with mods added, like the one that adds more health to the Snatcher.
I was just about to post that... Ah well.
I recently got gifted the Steam version, so I've added a bunch of mods to try since I couldn't be arsed to add them manually.
Here's a couple of great mods to have: Material Girl, Playable Mustache Girl, Super Mario Sunshine F.L.O.O.D.. There's also the official Freedom Planet and Psychonauts mods too.
I'm more interested in level mods, I've grabbed a few already as well as that Material Girl one. Thank you for the suggestions.
I've been keeping a whole freaking list of levels and mods that I played and enjoyed, lemme just paste that in here for you guys.

the switch is really lacking in the 3D hat-based platforming genre tee bee haytch
I'm expecting they reveal the DLC on the 20th, and my wish is they also reveal the release date (complete shock if it;s the same day).
How I want a Switch port so badly, but it'll most likely not gonna happen... until they finish the kickstarter goals at least, then maybe they might consider it. I know Jones has a Switch Dev Kit so it's possible, but eery unlikely.
So did they ever reveal who won the mapping contest?
Yes.They revealed it a while back ago:

Switch port ain't happening. UE3 doesn't support the Switch. You can port UE3 games to Switch (see: Rocket League, Paladins), but it requires a lot of time and effort as well as a fair amount of money and resources. The ports of those games were mostly done by large 3rd party porting houses who have extensive experience with UE3.
Gears For Breakfast is a small indie studio, and thus doesn't really have that much in terms of resources to sling at such a thing. Not to mention Hat in Time is such a different beast to port than Rocket League or Paladins would be.
Downloaded enough mods to make my game take longer than Civ 6 to load.

10 Minutes before it goes live.
Spoilers: it's all of the above
switch port, co-op (though they only said splitscreen so lord knows if it'll be online), and a new DLC with a new world, time rifts, cosmetics, etc etc
