When did you complete episode 2? They recently added the SMS in the patch just before episode 3 came out. Almost nobody (If anybody) got the text before the patch. A lot people who didn't water it weren't exploring well enough and missed it or are cruel plant murderers that wanted to starve it.
I think I saw it when I was checkingthe journal entries of episode 2 before episode 3 came out, I didn't know it was only added in on that day though.
Also I really hope everybody here reads the journal because it gives some great insights about what Max thinks about all of the decisions.
I always read it at the beginning of the episode and then forget about it :|

I'm currently running two theories
A: [sp]Max's messing with time is causing the disturbances, and the larger changes (Such as rewriting character's entire histories) are destroying the world, so the world in which William survived, everything is even more out of balance. The show Fringe deals with this quite boldly in a very same manner, where massive changes throw off the balance of the entire universe.[/sp]
or B: [sp] Someone (Or maybe multiple people) are responsible for what's going on across the city, and maybe the world, in the new timeline they're even worse off. I mean, it -could- be Chloe, she's angsty in one timeline, causing the world to slowly decay around he until there is some breaking point that causes the hurricane, and in the new timeline, she's supremely depressed and unstable, taking the world with her. I'm not sure if it's Chloe, as we've seen that Nathan is all sorts of fucked in the head.[/sp]

The whole "butterfly effect/chaos theory" thing is pretty thrown in your face (Butterfly symbolism, and episode called Chaos Theory etc) and I can see this being the angle the devs are going for. Yet I like to think that, as you say, the effects are caused by another persons timeline(?). Though it could be Chloe, I have a feeling it could also either be Kate ([sp]She was never mentioned in the ending cutscene for Ep.3, could she be dead? Is she not the goody two shoes Christian girl?[/sp]) or even Nathan (though this seems a lot less plausible).

3) Either way I don't think Rachel's going to be a pop up in episode 4 or 5 that says "hey guys! I'm neither dead nor missing anymore, how's the end of the world going?"[/sp]
Heh, cool little detail I found. In Victoria's room in Ep3, her glow in the dark figurine only glows in the dark if you shine your flashlight at it for a few seconds. Then the glow slowly wears off.

So I didn't have a lot of interest in this game until I saw someone else play it, but I still didn't maintain enough interest to buy it myself.
But now I've seen Episode 3 and now I've decided that I'm going to play it from Episode 4 onwards myself. I'm hooked now. It had an incredibly slow start but the moment the story went all [sp]Butterfly Effect[/sp] I wanted part in it myself.

Max takes a lot of selfies. Pretty sure the writers didn't make her take so many selfies just because. They're gonna be a pretty significant part of the new couple episodes, I'm sure of it. And in the episode 5 preview pictures, one of them is the photo Max ripped up in episode 1.

For some reason I felt this EP3 was a lot shorter than the previous two episodes. But I still enjoyed every bit of it. I agree with all of you that the ending was shocking.

Oh god she is, and I'm already planning to re-create a realistic version of her for my character art portfolio. At first I thought I'd make make her the "original" outfit she used to use in the first two episodes (even though her t-shirt(?) changed once in EP2), but those Rachel's old clothes are just... perfect for her ^^. Reminds me of Jodie Holmes from the Beyond: Two Souls a bit. (;
It's funny, I heard a lot of people complain that episode 3 was a bit too short but for me it was the opposite. I beat episodes 1 and 2 in like 2 hours each, but episode 3 took me over 3 hours to complete, and I think I only got 3 of the pictures in my first run.
3 was a decent length imo. 3 was definitely the best so far, especially after 2 which i believe was fairly, ehh. besides the end.
I'm so glad that they've already started preliminary work on a second season.

I read an article where the devs said that they're gonna wrap everything up in the end of episode 5. But there's still a lot of room for new ideas which might give us a season 2.
