The animals are dying because of the climate changes. The fisherman says there are no fish, so that probably means there's no plankton, and thus no food for the whales. Not to mention the water pressure and temperature are most likely changing and they can't survive and wash up on the beach to die. Birds are also known to be sensitive to air pressure changes, and often get disoriented by storms and run into buildings and such.
I think the reason that you see [sp]both the birds in the original timeline and the whales in the second timeline dying is because whatever changes Max has made hasn't altered the storms path yet. And I also strongly believe that this "new timeline" isn't here to stay. We're most likely going to revert back to the original one in Episode 4. I'm also certain that this is probably going to be a very difficult decision for Max to make... William or Chloe. [/sp]

The ending reminded me a lot of the bad 1985 in Back to the Future 2. Cruel of them to end the episode on that, especially after [sp]Max's relationship with Chloe deepens so much.[/sp]

This game has surprised me a lot. Never expected it to be this good.

I feel like the next couple episodes are going to throw a few more curveballs. [sp]Personally, I think either Max is going to be the reason Rachel went missing, or that we're going to learn that Rachel has/had time powers too. I only think that second one bc I feel like Rachel and Chloe were a thing for a while and I don't know how it never leaked to Chloe that Rachel and Frank were also a thing so maybe she had them and rewound so that she never hurt Chloe. But I feel like I'm reaching for straws with that.[/sp]
The whole Max-Chloe ship is really dumb when you remember that they've only been together for the first three or four days in five years.

Well it doesn't, [sp]Kayleigh always had the chance to leave with her mom, she just choosed to live near close to Evan. Which is why he wanted to end that friendship(or kill himself depending on what ending you're watching)[/sp]
But Butterfly Effect is full of plot holes and stupidity combined. Despite that I still consider it a guilty pleasure.
I don't know what happened, but starting on the finale bus trip on EP3, the game messed up and I ended up with no music the rest of the way through

To breath a little life into the thread; I finished the game up til what has been released and enjoyed it a lot but I'm pretty upset that it seems a lot of people are passing this by because they think it's too "tumblr". I'm not exactly into that part of the internet but I still had fun with the game; I was interested in hearing some other people's thoughts on this.
Fuck, Episode 4's only a month or so away at most. Feels like just yesterday I beat Ep3.

The game probably would've been more popular here on FP if one of the trailers didn't say something along the lines of "It's like Gone Home meets The Walking Dead with time travel." And we all know how much FP hates Gone Home.
