Yeah, I forgot, then 53/5/251/5/251/5, even better and probably what'll end up happening
I was eagerly hoping that more UBs would be added, and am loving the additions so far. I find UBs to be the best new Pokemon in recent years, they have a lot of creative liberty when it comes to these guys. we've always had inanimate object-like Pokemon but they always had eyes, mouths etc. but now with Pokemon like xurkitree and burst they really make for some awesome designs which we haven't seen anything like before. Hoping they'll reveal even more!
...so Burst and Assembly. they're not going to point out the elephant in the room, in that besides Nihilego (which was plot relevant, in SM) and Guzzlord (vital to backstory in SM), that they're not doing anything with Xurkitree?
I had an entire headcanon that Xurkitree is an exclusive to the [sp]Sun/Moon reality[/sp], Ultra Sun/Moon would be more than a retelling like Emerald and should be more in line with ORAS' Delta Episode where it turns out that there's [sp]alternate realities[/sp]. i assumed that most Ultra Beasts would indirectly share appearences between games via some convoluted deal.
[/sp].

So you made stuff up for yourself, and are annoyed at the official version not being said made up stuff?
So you made stuff up for yourself, and are annoyed at the official version not being said made up stuff?
It's more of a missing pattern deal really. you'd think with what they brought up in-universe would be relevant. you have Kartana/Celesteela and Buzzwole/Pheromosa. Xurkitree just seems like a lesser type of deal, when it doesn't even have the dignity of being featured in a cutscene or having a pair.
Nihilego is vital to the plot, and Guzzlord was more of a aftergame Mewtwo/Zygarde deal. even though the UBs doesn't have a leader like other conventional legendaries has, those 2 made sense. granted that a mid-generation addition would've made trading for a Xurkitree too much of a problem if it got an equivalent in USUM.
Xurkitree is in both Sun and Moon because it's the best Ultra Beast

that's not how you spell buzzwole

a few more
Decided to watch the pokemon S/M kanto episode and boy that was some pandering.
[sp]Squirtle Squad, Ash's Pigeot, the Caterpie, the Onix and Gyarados, and for some reason even Mew and Jigglypuff. [/sp]

But if I may ask, what the fuck is up with the Quick Balls everywhere in promotional material?

The quick balls are symbolic of Gamefreak's attempt to catch sales based off of pandering to nostalgia, but potentially failing due to how it's been over a year since the series 20th anniversary and how they can't ride off the Pokemon GO and Gen1 craze much longer.
Quick Balls work best on the first turn, just like a series appealing to nostalgia works best the first time around.
[sp]That was mostly sarcasm. But they are relying too much on nostalgia with some of the decisions they have been making, since it worked very well last year.[/sp]
I really like the idea given off by Assembly's design that it's made up of numerous individuals, sort of like coral or stromatolites.
PETULANT BIOLOGIST WARNING
Stromatolites are just fossil biofilm strata, not colonial organisms.
But yeah, stuff like coral or the Portuguese man o`war are awesome and deserve more presence. Barbaracle was a good take on the concept tho.

Eight years and still can't buy the damn thing for a good price.
For real, I was feeling the pokemon itch a few days ago and wanted to pick up HG or SS but was really put off by their prices. How the hell are they that expensive? I wish I hadn't sold my copy of SS years ago.
Everytime I see them second-hand and always more expensive than what they costed brand-new I die a little inside
It's like seeing a NES Mini at 155€ and then an actual NES at 50€

Really short production runs. As far as I recall they way made less HGSS carts than DPPt carts for some reason.
Also all the HGSS carts coming out of china are R4i/DSTT/AK2i clones with a fake (or just really shit) microSD and a HG/SS rom on them already. Even if the pictures show a real cart you're 99% getting a £8 flashcart with a £2 sd card. The flashcarts are probably also timebomb ones too.
Welp, so, if we are getting new UBs in the middle of the gen, we may even be getting new mythicals as well. Cunning move Game Freak.
Also, fuck, just as I was a Marshadow short of having competitive-grade examples of every fully evolved 'mon so far.

Please, just go away.
gamefreak suckin' cynthia's dick cause she got two shillmons and is conventionally attractive
but no seriously, why just lucario and garchomp? where the rest of her team at? spiritomb is way cooler than those lame-os
Dreams do come true, pls come home as I proceed to wadte my life savings on getting this card
[sp]still no shauntal card tho[/sp]
Welp, guess what's coming to my house next month as I noticed that was an UltraRare card
I'm happy it didn't cost me a liver like the price people are asking for the Guzma cards
I remember reading somewhere years ago that Clefairy was originally going to be the Pokemon "mascot", before the developers settled for Pikachu?
You'd be correct. Joke is on them, Clefable ended up being far better than Raichu, because all the love went to Pikachu.
Surf and Dazzling Gleam would be neat toys to begin with...
I believe it was on Nintendo's suggestion, with them saying a pink mascot might turn boys off. It also is in the first 10 Pokemon programmed in Red and Green, Pikachu isn't even in the first 25
That explains why Clefairy has been cute since the beginning while Pikachu was originally a fat rat. :v:

I wish they'd give the best female champion, Diantha, the respect she deserves.

I like her design but doesn't she like, not even do anything in X and Y? At least Cynthia did shit.

After replaying Platinum, I can honestly say that Cynthia did jack shit. She popped up a few times to give you an HM, a Togepi egg, a few lines of uneventful dialogue, and followed you into the Distortion World for some reason. Screentime doesn't equal involvement in the plot or adventure.
The same thing happened to Lillie. She was with you the entire game, but she did even less. Her being Lusamine's daughter had no impact on anything and was only there to meet the cute girl quota. The one thing she actually did do, save Nebby, could've easily been "Nebby escaped on its own and you and Hau discovered it being attacked by Spearow. Hau takes care of it and Gladion overlooks your adventure together to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands, even helping you out at points."
That said, I don't really Hold Diantha's lack of involvement against her because for the most part, Pokemon has always had bad character development or story inclusion. The best I can go off of when playing favorites is overall design, inspiration, and choice of Pokemon (Although honestly Diantha's Gourgeist should've been Super-Size and her Hawlucha replaced with Gallade).

Either slate Diantha for having bad character development or don't slate Lillie and Cynthia for it. You can't have it both ways.
im surprised gen 4 remake still isn't a thing
if they like her so much why don't they make a game around her haha
