I don't think I posted the last couple of episodes in this thread but here's the fourth part of my adaptation of the text LP "Let's Horribly Break Pokemon Blue". I hope you all enjoy!

CoolTrainer moves are a nice way to get any valid or invalid pokemon.
It reads data from the screen tile index, making some of its effects vary on battle depending of the place.
For anyone trying out glitches in a physical cartridge, or just messing around with hexadecimal values, it is relatively safe to attempt to use CoolTrainer moves in battle while avoiding that effect similar to the Super Glitch effect.
As for the gamesharks, if the tile indexes "doesn't update" after moving you can do it manually by using the glitch item 9F.
How do competitive players get legendaries with 31 IVs in every stat?
How do competitive players get legendaries with 31 IVs in every stat?
cheating or a bajillion resets
How do competitive players get legendaries with 31 IVs in every stat?
They either cheat, or they use Hyper Training w/ Bottle Caps. The latter isn't exactly having 31 IVs in every stat, but it reflects on the Pokemon's stats as if they were.

PKHeX or RNG abuse.
Honestly the worst spreads to try and hit legit are 0ATK HP Ice ones. Normally like a 1-2 frame window 10+ minutes away. Generic 31/31/31/x/31/31 spreads are pretty free.

They also added Red and Leaf's clothing from FRLG to Pokemon Go. I believe it costs coins to get though.

That Charizard figure seems like a steal at 30 bucks. I hope we see the other Kanto starters sooner rather than later.

I could listen to this song all day
I know this is old and all, but I wish there is an update that basically makes Rotom-dex shut the fuck up. The powers are useful, the advice isn't.

Also got Shiny Mewtwo after a few weeks (or days if you only count played time).

I'm so in love with the idea of more fairy type starters. More fairy type anything, tbh. More and more fairies, please.

In other news happy 7th birthday to Pokemon Black and White. I still remember checking up on all the leaks regarding the game, that was the most I was ever hyped for a Pokemon game still to this day.

Now I'm getting a terrible sinking feeling that I'll like these more than the actual next gen starters.
Do you think Pokemon series will go into new unexpected directions when Satoshi Tajiri steps off for whatever reason?
I mean, after Satoru Iwata, rest in peace you magnificent man, no longer could, for obvious reasons, lead the Nintendo company, a lot of strangely OOC things happened at Nintendo.
Dedicedly non-family friendly developers like Bethesda, id and OVERKILL release games on Nintendo consoles now.
Nintendo games on non-Nintendo consoles, like Super Mario Jump and Pokemon Go, with the latter being a huge success.
Several third party developers are trusted huge licenses, such as Zelda to make Hyrule Warriors, Pokemon to make Pokken and Mario to make Mario + Rabbids.
It would certainly be refreshing for a change to see more of the much loved features in Pokemon actually make it to future games instead of being ditched with no mention of it afterward. Such as many of the versatile utility gadgets as well as Frontiers.

Pokken showed up at first in 2013 and Iwata was on his deathbed insisting to work on parts of Pokemon Go. Regardless, I doubt Tajiri leaving or dieing would change much, if people want the games to change you have to convince everyone to stop buying them in droves.
Pokemon on the switch is an unexpected direction IMO. Don't feel like it would be a Pokemon game if you can't fit it in your pocket at least I can't fit it in my pockets. Even if I could the 3DS far more convenient than the switch. Game freak's explanation of reaching the limits of the 3DS is just not true. It's an optimising issue. Group fights tank FPS but that is because the poly count is too high, they could have culled some of the background and used lower poly models for the trainers. Unless they mean they're reaching the cartridge size limit I could understand however as there are a shitload a pokemans, the majority of which you will never even see if youre just doing a standard playthrough.
Regardless I'm still excited for what they will come up with. Hopefully not a Sun Moon reskin with better graphics. I'm interested to see if they will change Pokemon battles from turn based to real time, kind of like in Pokemon GO. That would be cool IMO, it would really freshen up the series.
The 3DS is being phased out. And I couldn't find a 3DS that could fit in my pocket when I went to buy a newer model, because apparently bulky portables are the norm.
And we will be getting a new gen in the switch. And, for the record, changing the BASIC GAMEPLAY won't be happening. It wouldn't be refreshing. And GO's combat isn't engaging at all. No, your opinion wouldn't make the series more enjoyable, let those things go in spinoffs.
PLEASE JUST GIVE US POKEMON SNAP 2 ON THE SWITCH
[editline]7th March 2018[/editline]
They have all these consoles that have gyros with screens attached to them and still NO POKEMON SNAP
We need more spinoffs. GO is a decent way to go for walks (but the combat is a DPS screenmashing bore, and proper team building is based on getting multiple legendaries, because fuck species clause when attacking), Mystery Dungeon peaked in Explorers of the Sky, console battlers were ruined by Genius Sonority after HAL made a pair of perfect ones (and nowadays they'd be redundant, and, if anything, a neat DLC/cheap side app)...
Yeah, gimme snap. The minigame in gen VII is not enough. But don't force gyroscope usage, I get more precise movement with my thumbs without waving around an expensive electronic, thank you.

Yeah I get that, it's old as shit. My opinion is probably skewed because I only bought one and began playing Pokemon this year so it doesn't seem that dated to me. I hope the switch isn't the 3DS's replacement, the dual screens is such a genius idea I'd hate for Nintendo to abandon it.
That's a shame Game Freak aren't going to change things up. Got a source for that tho?

I had more fun playing Pokemon GO with a GPS joystick. I know it's cheating but traveling around to decent areas cost money which I don't have. And grinding by physically walking around is just not feasible if you work, who has the time for that? Niantic has cracked down on it though so I'm pretty much excluded from playing. Not that it's that great of a game anyway.
Go work by walking, and use the game as a pasttime rather than as an obsession? You should be doing some exercise on a daily basis anyway.
And no, it is not a shame that they probably won't change things up. Because changing the genre of a 20 year old franchise is not a good move. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Seriously, leave turn based RPGs be. Fire Emblem is also sticking to the formula in the main series, with a Musou spinoff.

I do go for walks everyday, but there's just no stops or Pokemon in my area unfortunately.
Tru tho, I was just saying it would be interesting if they changed things up a bit. Would make battles more intense if it was realtime. It doesn't hurt to experiment.
That's like saying Mario Kart would be more intense if you could get off the kart and jump on people. Different genres, FFS.
