If anyone here has problems with getting the receipt for pokemon gold or silver from the 3ds or Wii u e-shop (or even e-mailed), I may have found the cause.
This is a recent discovery while looking into the issue of people who pre-purchased Pokemon Gold or Silver and did not get a digital receipt.
I was checking my account activity on my 3ds and noticed something was odd. Like a few other people, I too was missing my receipt for Pokemon Gold and wanted to know why. As I started scrolling through I discovered other purchases were missing their receipts too. So I went further back to the point where I could see receipts again.
This point would up being the date of Feburary 25th 2017 with the next action on my account being "Balance Adjustment" on March 3rd. The release date of the Nintendo Switch and the same day I linked the Switch to my e-shop account.
After that date the e-shop on both the 3ds and wii u were no longer keeping a proper record of my transactions and balance history, and just listed what was bought when.
If you are having the problem of missing your receipts, including for pokemon gold and silver, Let Nintendo know if you have "Balance Adjustment" listed on your account activity.
and before you say to take this to Nintendo, I already have and just want to help with figuring things out so you can report the issue to them too if you have it.
While less relevant to Pokemon in general if you want to get all the pikachus in a cap you can use homebrew for save management of your S/M carts. Not everyone has a spare for resetting these sort of codes and there will be an entrypoint for the homebrew channel sometime soonish with Flipnote Studio 3D.
It's currently not detectable by Nintendo unlike custom firmware which has gotten a banwave.

The CFW banwaves are due to people having bad titles installed. If you run all your homebrew through Luma's Rosalina HBL then you're safe.
Also it's WAY easier to just inject all the wondercards with PKSM.

Another thing to note is that a Cosmog is still there, despite Nebby changing form by the end of SM.
My biggest hope seeing this is that we still get some action with Team Skull, or at least yaboi and his hot ass theme. I'm gonna assume the mechanical looking entities are the Aether replacement.

Aw man... I was hoping it was a B2W2 sort of deal where the protags deal with what the last protags left behind. That's one of the many things that made B2W2 such great followups even for Pokemon standards.

Don't think I'll be buying USUM, sadly. If they are making a simple remaster they should stick with Emerald/Platinum's [B][U]ONE[/U][/B] "definitive edition".

You're not alone, some of the people who buy the third version are either competitors who want access to the legendary Pokemon collection and the move tutors, while the rest are people who didn't buy the first version to begin with.

I own every single third edition but this is the first time I really feel no need to get a new edition. What if they sell less than Crystal? The announcement of a complete new Pokemon game with the Switch can also have an impact on sales.

I'm totally fine with USUM being a revised version of SM. Slight story changes, rebalances, and more content. The top few of my favorite games were Platinum and Emerald, so if it's anything like them I'd be more than happy. Although I do understand 100% why people would skip these.
I personally just want something to hold me off until whatever Pokemon: Switch Version™ will be. That's where I'm bottling up my true hype. :dance:
