Looks like there is another Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee rumor going about.
I played it ages ago and enjoyed it. Just be warned that there's not much by way of wild Pokemon.
Wasn't that the one where you had to steal Shadow Pokemon from your opponents and only had 1 chance?
In Colosseum you had one chance in most scenarios. In XD you could later fight someone that ended up with any you missed throughout the main story.
It's pretty good, one of my favorites that expands upon Collosseum's gameplay and elaborates upon it. There's a larger variety of Shadow Pokemon to snag, there's a few PokeSpots where you can catch wild Pokemon instead for a change, all battles except the wild ones are double battles, and purifying the Shadow Pokemon is ridiculously easy now. There's also various minigames like the Battle Bingo and Battle CDs to teach you common doubles formats. You can also use Bonsly in a 3rd gen game for a minigame area. The only thing I think Collosseum did better was the Mt. Battle link challenges, which let you load a character and team from a different 3rd gen game and play through Mt. Battle with them, and earn prizes that way. I played through it with my LeafGreen team and character, and snagged a Choice Band to take with me back to Leaf Green, which was a blast.
In Collosseum if you defeated someone who had a Shadow Pokemon without stealing it from them first, you could often refight them later postgame. I don't recall of any that were outright lost forever. In XD if you defeat a trainer who had a Shadow Pokemon without stealing it, it'll run away, and Miror B. will find it and add it to his team, allowing you to snag the ones you missed from him.
Gale of Darkness was better than Colosseum in most ways. Things I didn't like about GoD was how they haphazardly shoved half of the game's Shadow Pokemon in the final area by giving everyone 2+ Shadow Pokemon and how Shadow moves were super effective against everything. It made sense, but it wasn't fun to go up against.

Pikasprey's videos are always a treat. I just wish they were more frequent but it's clear he puts a lot of work into them.
>Gen 8
>Radically different Kanto
>Choice of starter plus either Eevee or Pikachu
>Best story yet
>Dynamic camera, solid visuals, emphasis on atmosphere and worldbuilding
>GO connectivity, but nothing gameplay-related
>Pokemon follow you
>Fleshed-out villain team
>Poison legendary
>Johto
Some of this sounds too good to be true, but I'd honestly be perfectly happy if it was. If we're getting games set in Kanto, this is literally the exact kind of approach I'd like to see (as opposed to "it's Red and Blue but in 1080p").

I hope this is the Switch game.

Well alright then.
My arms are flailing
I have high hopes that it probably isn't nothing!
Oh man I really live for new gen rumors/leaks. Hype is soooo real
I really really hope they build upon the direction of Sun/Moon. I'm not sure what the current consensus is now but it felt like such a breath of fresh air back then and it genuinely had a lot of great ideas (a lot of flaws but I think they did more things right than wrong).
I don't mind if we go back to Kanto (LeafGreen has a special place in my heart as a kid) but hopefully they change a lot and not just pander to the casual crowd
Sun andere Moon deviated from the standard formula in a good way but all the hand holding, cutscenes and a feeling of boing constantly constricted as to where to go really put a damper on it all. I still think they're pretty good games though.

lol this was the reveal
Yep, hyping a main series thing to bait-and-switch people to advertise minor irrelevant stuff is something they've done before
Remember that tv show that hyped new info and only ended up repeating corocoro leaks for 1-2 minutes back when XY/ORAS was new? That was also fun
The twin announcements could be the same thing, could be different. Still waiting for the direct announcement. And to piss in everyone's pies, it's Jigglypuff.

For those who are wondering, this is the same room as previous Pokemon Directs.
The evil team is very passionate and driven about their goals
I have no idea what their goals are
Kinda made me laugh.
The rest sounds too good to be true. Especially with the story and visuals.
It's gonna evolve into Voreon and eat Junichi Masuda live on camera
There's a very plausible rumour going around right now that there's a press conference at 10 JST (about 9 EST), private of course and that there will be some news around 90 minutes after it ends.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
