Frankly that's what killed my interest mainly. I'd be fine with the Kanto pokemon, but not having their gen 2 onward evolutions is pretty disappointing.

So is anyone playing Pokémon Quest? If so, how is it? Does the free-to-start stuff not make it worth investing time into?

It's okay. The gameplay is somewhat less hands on (Up to two moves, your team moves around the field on its own); but I'm having some fun with it. The way you get new Pokemon is interesting and the way equipment is implemented is kinda neat. I feel the stamina system just cripples it out of the gate though. Would rather just pay like $20 to play as much as I want.

So just as the Oddish line got Bellossom the Bellsprout line was gonna get a funky alternate, and some pokemon reference the lost Red/Green designs like Harpoon Shark which gave birth to Sharpedo. My favourite is beta Slowking being a Slowbro evo in which Shellder fucking devours the Slowpoke and gains psychic powers. All these unused concepts are super nice, I wish the Red/Green beta also leaked because I NEED those nightmare crocoduck sprites and more of what happened with the missingno slots

I am glad we got dino style Bayleef instead of whatever the heck that bug flower was, even though it does explain why Meganium design has antennae/stamen like protrusions on its head.

I am amazed that Canalave and Snow Point from fucking Gen 4 was made back in Gen 2.

Apparently a guy (Idk if it's the same leaker or what) on 4chan has a Beta version of Green, he just called everyone getting excited over the Gold Beta pretty much Manchild due to how excited they are, but showed off some proof. Which was just the title screen and some other screen which shows nothing pretty much.

To anyone that has managed to play the game, how are the cries of the "new" pokemon? Hopefully it's real, I cant wait for a Gold/Silver hack with all the beta stuff added back in and improved upon.

This matters to probably only me, but I spent a good deal on it so I'll share. If you don't know, all the Pokemon within the game code have a corresponding index code, and since Gen 2's official release they were in the Pokedex number. However, this wasn't the case for Gen 1, and they appear as they were added to the game. There are 39 IDs that were blanked out (making the 39 forms of MissingNo), and using a glitch within Gen 2 you can transfer them to have match up with a corresponding Pokemon within the Gen 2 games.
