I applaud those who made it all from scratch, as Pokemon Stadium 2 recognizes the rom.
From what ive heard if it was fake the creator should be an arcane timewarping computer wizard because there's a lot of stuff impossible to replicate by hex editing and only possible with actual compilers and official stuff afaik
Bulbapedia in particular has refused to say anything about it. The editor cabal on their thinks it's fake and are waiting for "reliable sources, not TCRF". Well, good luck. Cause they're not getting a peep from Nintendo or Game Freak, lol.
Anyone who has deluded themselves into thinking this is fake doesn't know how obnoxious assembly coding is because this isn't based on any available GSC rom out there, there have been checksums and direct comparisons.
Don't be surprised if they got spooked because of the C&D everyone got slammed with when the Gen 5 starters got leaked. It's why Joe isn't putting anything up on his site.
Still, Bulbapedia is pretty much the opposite of a good Wiki. As in the asspull stuff but refuse to use actual sourced stuff. Disregard them, use Serebii and Veekun.

TBH some of those were dodged bullets.
They also refused to consider Silvally a legendary pokemon for the longest time until it was finally confirmed in the 2018 year of the legend event.

Oh, and the ripped screenshots added to the "sprite" section. FFS, that's not a sprite. Eithe pull a model viewer, or add the actual sprites, which are small renders used in every game but XY. But don't pretend a bad rip from a screenshot is a sprite.
And Serebii is guilty of that fuckery as well. Blame the Gen VI early days.
Some of these guys look really cool but a lot of them clearly needed a little more time in the oven. Despite that this is one of the most fascinating things I've ever seen regarding unreleased
game content. Yuriofwind is gonna have a field day with this one.
While I get that, theres a huge difference being this is older than a lot of pokemon fans alive at this moment (which by itself is a surreal and unnerving thought) rather than an upcoming release, plus I dont think GF is as much of a copyright-obsessed maniac as main Nintendo is.
I dont think there has been any problems after the Nintendo Playstation prototype leaked to the public. Or the Nintendo World Championship cartridges. Or Starfox 2. It should be perfectly safe
Qwilfish having an evolution and some pokemons having evolutions that look better (like likitung(?) evolution looking like a food connoisseur) or less weird (like kingdra evo in this looking really natural as a third evo instead of what we got) explains so much.
