Jeez rank 18 arena doesn't fuck around. Get a full 7 chain with all advanced difficulties and a bonus hero and I'm still far from the leveling up percentile. Plus if you're not in the top 40% you level down. God damn.

I think the sweet spot for Rank 19 is somewhere around 4750 score. I've only ever made it to Rank 20 once. And it was when one of my standard arena units was a bonus unit so I was able to pick what I wanted.

What i have been doing is using all of my stamina for the mode and autobattling on hard. It helps to have lots of friends with op units to make a great squad.

Yeah, getting up there is really hard at first, but once you get Rank 19, you're pretty good. I always get to rank 20, but can never stay in 20...

My problem with things like arena is that unless you happen to have a bonus unit or got lucky on the summoning banner related to it, you're gonna go down unless you use some dueling crests It's why i sometimes forget to even bother with Arena because i know i'll just sink

The bonus unit stipulation is pretty bullshit. If you're in a higher rank and you don't have any or the ones you do have don't fit your team you're basically going down a rank instantly.

The good news is that I got a Leif. The bad news is that he continues my recent trend of borderline okay or dogshit IVs. -ATK/+RES, blegh. I think I'll fodder his A skill when the TT is over.

It's not that bad. You get plenty of time to build a decent hero if you only have, say, a level 1 4* GHB unit at the start of a season as your sole bonus unit. When you're in "higher ranks" you should have more than enough units and resources to make a team that works. Hitting Tier 19 doesn't take any merges, high-BST units, good banner-only units or premium skills. You should be able to do it with just free GHB, TT and story units.

Let's see: Robin, Felicia/Kagero, Hector, just need a 4th unit.

So far I'm not hating the new game mode. It's not my favourite but it's also not my least. My biggest problem is the dog piling over the keep at the end. I've had matches where I get to the keep at turn 4 with no camps left, and then I'm just chewing on respawns for the next 5-ish turns. They could take from other games that are 1v1v1 focused, have a center space that has some incentive for capturing it. Only problem is that this game mode ALSO suffers from same problems that 1v1v1 games have. If nobody is awake on your team, good luck taking spaces.

Just started building a healer for the first time (Clarine) and I've been having fun abusing Gravity. I just wish that there was a staff valor skill available since I'm not even halfway through giving Clarine all her skills.

Saias being blue makes him more useful to me, but I'd wish he had something akin to Arvis' Recovery Ring. Did appreciate the use of Guidance Lance Boy/Brave archer on his map, caught me off guard a few times.

I used Cherche, Reinhardt and two dancers. Hit and run tactics with reposition and death blow. Used lancebreaker on Rein to make it easier to deal with Camoo

I was talking about Saias but Camoo strats are also cool, haven't cleared him yet.

Oh my god, I hate Camoo Infernal. Who decided that the only safely baited unit had to be a 46 RES, 2-charge Miracle horse healer?

The Saias map is trivialized by Panic Ploying the mounted mage. I personally didn’t use one, but instead cheesed it with Galeforce.
