Considering the context, no. Though another version I imagined is a poorly made cover (but still very recognizable), and FP users crying in the background because Winston's been hit.
this voice enhancement mod is shaping up to be a glorious one that will be remembered for generations in the realm of gaming.

If you just want to test your own lines for a quick video, drop them in "/Half-Life 2/hl2/custom/voicestuff/". As for the actual mod, we have started making a working repository so far and will be adding some stuff to it soon, might take some time, since we gotta organize a few things.
Looks like I'll have to delay offensive parrot-life until I can breathe when my nose, until my stomach stops hurting and until I can stop coughing every five seconds.
It'll probably be better if someone else tried to do them.

Also, as cool as these are, they require decompiling and doing edits to the maps which can break them really easily. I'm a mapper so I'll join the discord and try to help out, but I wouldn't go overboard with map edits.

I'm a professional decompiled map fixer upper that's willing to pitch in. Ported Ravenholm into a L4D campaign (which was basically finished but I never released it), abused Badwater too many times (rainy, snowy, tilt, poodoo), did the night and mirror maps in CSGO, and other minor projects I forget.
Main concern I have is avoiding going full lolrandumb with edits. I want to ensure the highest quality of thoughtful, nonsensical changes.
I'd say a good baseline is 'Sensible Chuckle' went it comes to deciding what's a good change. Keep the 'dear god why' to a minimum, we don't want to overpower and desensitize the players.

That's a good analogy, especially since those movies are parodies of other movies or tropes in general. Top Secret also comes to mind as an ideal example.
As fun as just changing the voices is, I feel that there's a need for changes to the levels as well to keep in spirit and entice players to play through to the end. From inserting various jokes like the razor train doing multitrack drifting to changing up how things play out like the "Where's my boat?" subchapter from SMOD. Emphasis should be on fun and interesting, not just random.

Also, if you guys are changing stuff around, why not mess with chapter names? I do believe you can easily edit them in titles.txt(no localisation support, but it'll be present for any and all languages) or localisation files in resources folder.
Even cooler, mappers can abuse env_messages and print more than one chapter name, so you can have stuff like:
