I think im going to start a new character in Red Eclipse. Any suggestion of what kind of class?
I'm personally a fan of how Juggernaut/Guardian plays, Juggernaut is definitely one of the better stories too. (Agent being pretty much accepted as the best story.)

Well what kind of side are you guys playing on in Red Eclipse?
If it is RE i'm on i typically play Imperial side.

Sweet, ill add you when i get home from school.
Post editing is fucked up, get your shit together Garry.
Anyway, I got 3 chars on Red Eclipse - 29 Agent (T'sòni), 17 Scoundrel (Lìzzy), 50 Commando (Clío). Feel free to add them.
Re-subbed for two months, got an extra month free. The space combat stuff looked super interesting, and I wanted to try out the expansion. Looks like my main characters got moved to Jedi Covenant. Can anyone sum up the major changes in the past year? I know they added the expansion, the cartel, etc. Any major balance changes or anything? Also, what should I spend my free coins on?
Debating if I should get back into this, even though preferred status sucks ass.
Have a level 50 Vanguard and a bunch of other chars on Jedi Covenant.

Get the rocket boots and the boosts for them as well. They are account wide and so, so useful.
BioWare doing amazing patches as usual. Supposedly 2.5 fixed some typos, yet in the patch notes they typed Coruscant as Corsucant.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure I've misspelled it every single time I've tried to spell it.
Didn't realise this, but the saber throw for Sents/Marauders is slightly different.

Has anyone else played Starfighter yet? I tried it earlier and had a blast, seems like they've put a lot of work into it.
Scout best ship. Not sure how the frak you unlock the gunships though.

It was my first time doing Athiss and with my underleveled toon it was hard. But we still did it and as a result, we did this.

First time as Level 50 when I was a sub.
Apparently I can do character transfers as well. Should I resub and beat the Trooper quests? Hell, I even bought the first expansion-thing and haven't played it once.
After getting 50 on Commando I'll never make DD of any Trooper/BH adv. class. They just don't have as good DPS as pure DD classes. Best for them is to heal (as Commando/Mercenary) and tank (as Vanguard/Powertech). And I hate healing, it's no fun at all. Also it looks dumb if I play Commando - I have a fucking big gun and I'm supposed to be a healer?
As for tanks, I never tried tanking, but I'm sure it's gonna be fun and it shouldn't be so hard. Just charge on mobs first and keep them busy. So next time I'm making a Vanguard and going full tank.

Vanguard tank was theoretically the best tank since 2.0, I haven't played since they changed shadows in this last patch but yeah. They buffed vanguard dps for pvp/pve too before I took a break, assault has more burst again and some new survivability, and I loved tactics in arenas. As far as commando dps, if you played gunnery to its fullest it was still competitve outside of sent/gunslinger dps. Gunnery still has an RNG factor that can lower your dps potential but it was a simple rotation
So far going into Vanguard tank pays off nicely.
First of all, I ran Hammer Station. Even with dumb DDs who kept rushing, it was a blast. No one died, Kreshan went down really fast, since he was constantly buttraped by DDs while I did a great job on keeping his aggro on me.
Then I went on WZs and won 3 times in a row. First was a Huttball - as much as I hated it, I rekt enemies so hard that I was on top above all with 30 frags, and my team always had a clear path for enemy base. Then the Tatooine Canyon and Civil War - even more high leveled Assassins and Operatives, as much as they're pain in the ass, couldn't stop me. Again I was on top places.
It seems tanking is my real jam. And now I see why there's more Vanguards than Commandos.

vanguards own at endgame now because you can just health stack and live by self heals
Still need to level my vanguard/pyro but honestly i find them a bit boring, there are no real skills that i look forward to for them.

Go Tactics or AP depending and use Pulse Cannon/Flame Thrower. It rips stuff apart and its got great mobility. But it is a 10m class pretty much so if you don't like being in the thick of it try playing a different game or a slinger/sniper.

Quite the opposite, i have a 55 shadow, 50 sin, 53 rauder, 55 jugger, 50 guardian. They just feel... weird. like the skills to me have little cohesion about them, im never sure which to press (PT is middle tree, VG is tank spec) and the ranged but not ranged throws me off sometimes :v:

shoulder cannon owns in pvp if you're guarding a node, since you can use it while stunned
Here's another old pic from back when me and rilez played together

enjoy
So, you remember how BioWare fixed typos and made a typo in patch notes?
Guess what happened again.

Commandos/Mercs are currently the second highest DPS in the game after Slingers/Snipers. Assault/Pyro actually dethroned Combat/Carnage spec Sents/Maras from the second place spot.
As far Shadow tanks, they lost their self-healing in exchange for a 1.2% damage reduction.
