lethality is fine, if you want to play ranged lethality play a sniper dude
i like op lethality it's just annoying when i can't get in melee range which doesn't happen a TON but does happen sometimes
oh sweet they are giving lethality some buffs, they're making our dots basically the same time now. that should make things a lot less complicated. I approve, thank you bioware.
What is lethality and why do you all keep saying it?

Patch notes for PTR.

It's the DoT spec that Imperial Agents get. It keeps getting mentioned because I guess Zinayzen thinks it's hard as an Operative or something.
New Group Finder Category: Tactical Flashpoints - Kuat Drive Yards is available in the new ‘Tactical Flashpoint’ category in Group Finder. Tactical Flashpoints are role-neutral, meaning Group Finder will match the first four eligible players regardless of group role. Kuat Drive Yards is available to players levels 15-55, and it is bolstered so that a broad level range of players can be matched together.
...interesting.

So uhh, roles don't matter, almost no level requirements. What kind of flashpoint is that?
Although if instead of fighting mobs you solve puzzles..
Supposedly it starts at 15 to be consistent with the "lore", or at least the game story, which presumably means you each fly in in your own class ship. Interesting. Supposedly it ties into GSF somehow, probably just with the story there too.
I don't know what to make of this, but new FP seems okay. Not long and not hard, which s good.
Still don't know how mob levels will work, but I suppose it's gonna be like mob level = lowest group member level. It's also might be a good place to get some XP, since you can always do this FP, regardless of level.
The only problem Kuat Drive Yards have is that they're bland. Nothing really interesting going on there, just a simple "kill mobs, kill bosses, mission complete".
Everyone's bolstered to 55
Ah fuck, forgot about PvP's bolster.
That explains why mobs and bosses are quite easy to defeat.
It does make me wonder if the xp will be bolstered. During the Gree events if you took at 50 to Ilum it was bolstered to 55 and you leveled up crazy fast because the xp was also bolstered. I have to assume no, otherwise everyone would do it.

Didn't they fix that in a later patch?
No idea. Probably, it was hilariously easy to level.
Preferred players get access to Galactic Starfighter tomorrow.
How is GS anyways?
How is GS anyways?
In my point of view: joined the match, couldn't understand shit because of HUD clusterfuck and how to target and hit anyone, left, got the stuff for playing early access, forgot about it because it's just another form of warzones, just with ships.
So in short your opinion will depend on your stance on SWTOR's PvP and if you can figure out the controls and mechanics.
Galactic Starfighter sort of feels like a crappy version of War Thunder but in space. The tutorial only tells you the most basic things that as a PC gamer you'd figure out anyway and I really just couldn't get into it, due largely to the fact that the camera is really close in and I had pretty much no idea where anything was if it wasn't in front of me.
i played gs for like a month every day and pwnt hard but now i just put all my chars in a cantina for a bigass rested xp bonus

Yea, they fixed that.
Fuck you Martinique Desler
Just spawn already...

There is a PVE tutorial you know. Open the hanger window, top right.

Of course I know about it, but it's not helpful, it only covers some basics, but nothing about choosing a ship/role, crew, etc.
here you go
that should cover everything

Thanks, I might read it if I'll ever get back to SWTOR (i.e. buy a sub)
I am pleased with this

It's better than custom titles. Imagine what horrors you'd see with that.
