It's worth mentioning that the only reason I went deep into the dark side, beside to be in character, was my wish to get [sp]Dark!Jaesa instead of Light!Jaesa[/sp]. Experience thaught me that the latter is a very boring companion
I really need to do something about my jug's look, haven't changed it since October when the Dread Forged tier was new and I had a boner for it.

Also buffs to Madness/Balance for both Sorcs/Sages and Sins/Shadows. Are those trees gonna be more viable now?
it'll always be more viable for sorc/sage, but it sounds like it'll be slightly better now
the specs were always viable, just not at the top top end of dps potential
they're all pretty good now as of this pts build. Pyro powertechs are incredibly strong now topping the parses around 4100 dps

I wish I could play this more but even with everything on low I can't really do operations, and with WoW I can have everything on High and have no lag. Until this gets optimized, which I doubt, I'll have to wait until I get a better computer.

Madness is getting hella buffs on the 2.8 test server. It's OK right now, still isn't the worse parsing dps spec (arsenal mercs are) but the rotation isn't as engaging as it was before 2.0. You pretty much just keep dots on, keep death field on cd, spam thrash for CD procs and priotize assassinate sub 30. Snooze rotation

i decided to use the legacy sand people armor from the chevin event for my jug, goes well with the bantha.
As much as I want to like that mount, the face just makes me laugh. If I manage to get one I'll just sell it.
And that's good news about madness. I know the rotation's not super complex but last time I played a class with a complex rotation it was hilariously bad. I've also got a Powertech I've been meaning to play so if I end up hating madness I can either play whatever the other DPS spec is or go fuck around on my PT

I'm the 2nd in the guild to get it, 5th on the server afaik. We missed Gate Crasher by 47 seconds this week, 2 shot brontes though so we pretty much have the fight down. Wiping on Draxus can happen because healer interrupts on mass affliction from the corrupters can miss. A++ coding from bioware's part making interrupt factor in accuracy.
the hour clear for gate crasher pretty much gives you 3 total wipes in the instance, 4 depending on timing of wipes.
It's a pity I just can't play at your level because I've always wanted to be in a competitive raid guild. Oh well, casual raiding it is.
shit i can't decide between assassin or sorc. on the one hand, i enjoy tanking. on the other hand, i hate deception so i'd have to go madness, which might not be good. on the other other hand, i main a gunslinger so i'm used to being a turret and sorc lightning DPS seems fun, but i also don't want to heal so if i go sorc i'm pigeonholed into one spec forever and also madness as a sorc seems pretty boring
so it's tank w/ mediocre DPS spec or pure DPS with one good DPS spec and one pretty shitty one

Stick with sin, work on mastering madness as it is so when it gets buffed next month you'll be able to adapt and put out some pro dps. Wouldn't hurt to try Deception too because it puts out some good burst for fights that need it. Honestly, I'd gear my assassin out to dps if I didn't just get 2 gearing runs for my tank and my healer when I came back a month ago.
Works for me. I'm not doing anything past HM (probably) so I doubt I'll be laughed out of raids for playing a subpar spec, which apparently happens sometimes.
If I'm already preferred I assume I can't use somone's referral code to resub? Figure I'll do it tomorrow so I get a free house and I might as well help someone else out if I can.
I mean outside of nim content there aren't any subpar specs. Even Arsenal's baby 3400 maximum dps output can clear hm easily
Oh, so I guess they've ACTUALLY balanced DPS by now? I know a few months ago it was still pretty iffy.

So I'm looking for a new MMO, and I tried this one almost 2-3 years ago? I can't remember what I thought about it back then, but doesn't this game have a fairly bad rep? What's changed over the time gap when I last looked at this, and is it worth getting into now?
I hate Taris.. Fighting Rakghouls as a ranged class I annoying.
Also I bought 10 major XP boosts with my saved up stipends, is that overkill to go from 20 to 50? :v:

I'm pretty sure hybrid builds are super subpar...just stick with gunslinger, it's the best leveling spec.
I really wish they went with their original plan and give HK-51 leveless gear so hes viable at Lower levels. It was in the patch notes for his first appearance on the Test Server, but then it never happened.

Uh Gunslinger is the Advanced Class, Saboteur is the tree. You're thinking of Sharpshooter.
