Best story, hands down and most of the community will 100% agree is the Agent. There are enough endings from the choices you make to warrant 3-4 alts to see it all. It's almost a game in itself.
It's so damn complex I don't know how to roleplay one
Yeahs Agent's the best no doubt. I main'd a bounty hunter though, and the story wasn't too bad. Not great like the agent's, but enough to keep he going. Though don't expect any complexity to it. You pretty much set off to become the baddest big dick bounty hunter in the galaxy, and SPOILERS: [SP]you become the baddest big dick bounty hunter in the galaxy.[/SP]
I don't know why, but I can't seem to bring myself to play a bounty hunter for long periods of time I really like the premise of the story and the class' abilities. I really don't know My only guess is that I don't like the hunter's companions that much (beside Mako, that is) and the character's general thug apparel. These and I like the Imperial agent far more as an assassin on demand
Ah, I love the space thug apparel personally. Much better than the typical mando armor everyone seems to wear...
Ah, I love the space thug apparel personally. Much better than the typical mando armor everyone seems to wear...
Oh no, I was talking about the overal personality you can play with as a bounty hunter While a light side hunter is an honorable warrior and a true Mandalorian and the dark side hunter a psycho for hire with a liking to money, you will always be portraied as a simple-minded fighter who really likes to shoot down problems rather than twist them to his/her own advantage In other words, I'd prefer my hunter more like a Cad Bane and less like a Boba Fett, but it's not possible in-game, sadly
So I played for few hours and remembered why MMORPGs aren't my thing. Oh well.
So I played for few hours and remembered why MMORPGs aren't my thing. Oh well.
You know, I'm starting to get this feeling as well. A standard MMORPG endgame routine maybe isn't just the thing for me And truth be told, this issues is far worse in The Old Republic, since the drop in quality from the levelling experience to your infinite adventure is very noticeable
Damn it, there were flash sales yesterday http://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/27jqy2/hourly_cartel_market_flashsale_updates/ there is some stuff there I would have loved to get.

I'll just wait for Gree event and get other Scalene sets. My 1500CC aren't gong anywhere and the amount only increases each month by 200CC.
So I've been reading that in the pre-release beta you could kill [sp]Quinn[/sp] as a Sith Warrior. Can anyone confirm this?

I've heard that they removed it when people whined because they didn't realise the consequences of [sp]getting rid of their only healer companion permanently[/sp] or something. :v:

Someone uploaded the XML files for cut dialogue from the pre-release betas http://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/28g93k/cut_dialogue_xmls_spoilers/ Pretty interesting for people who are interested in that kind of stuff.
There was a Stronghold Stream a few days ago, dulfy did a break down of it. Pretty interesting stuff. http://dulfy.net/2014/07/02/swtor-galactic-strongholds-hooks-and-decorations-breakdown/

Eeeeew, Torian Cadera
Today I experienced the final of the first act of the Imperial agent story, which is still one of my favorite moments from the game Even if this time around I wanted to face [sp]Darth Jadus[/sp] in combat (they even tell me it's a challenging fight), I chose what I did in the past: taking a third option and talking him out of his plan, all because how damn SATISFYING the choice is
A glimpse of what's coming in 2.10. Yep, that's Lehon.
Might pick up my old Assassin tank from launch

Man, feel's good to come back and continue my agent operative after a couple of months
I hate Assassins. I really do hate them. Curious, If you use an attack that puts down a status over time damage and they cloak. Do they decloak when the damage is applied?
I just got back into the game recently as well. Can't wait for more story content. It feels sad having my Bounty Hunter just sitting on the fleet accomplishing nothing new...

Do they decloak when the damage is applied?
Yes, unless they use Force Shroud (their cleanse) before cloaking. I always forget to use it when I PVP and I generally wind up decloaking in the middle of a firefight and getting really agitated about it :v:
So, there would be a reason to create some Republic alts, aside from enjoying their ... ehrm ... wonderful class stories? I know that doing so unlocks some legacy bonuses, but I quite don't know what they are about

Others are just boring shit, though Trooper story could be good if it kept the same level of writing from chapter 1 through whole story.
na, the night story is borderline KOTOR3, only thing i can fault it for is the scourge storyline getting cut from beta. Smuggler is pro tier, trooper is fine, quality drops down alot after chap 1 though like you said. and consular is.. welll.. consular

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKHsz8Z4AAU81JRsoSiEHSyEGGUAL19UZ To me, the smuggler is the only worthy Republic story and has its own special flavor that makes it very interesting I'd like to make a character ala Republic Commando, but I know that the trooper story just won't allow me to do anything even remotely interesting, beside romancing Elara Dorne The Jedi consular is another interesting class, but the character is really ... wooden, if that makes any sense I'd play the knight story for the supporting cast only (lord Praven is my favorite Sith in all the Star Wars universe, period) and the opportunity to romance Kira Carsen In short, I'm not that keen on playing as a Jedi
Me and a few friends got into this game two weeks back and started playing as multiple classes on both factions. At most, we're just around level 20. Is there anything we should know as newcomers before we go any farther?
- If you are subscribers, you can skip most heroic quests, but should still roll some flashpoints now and then for the exclusive loot. If you are a preferred or a F2P players, you have to dig every quest there is, heroic or not, just to recive experience at a reasonable rate - Make always sure you have at least two or three levels ahead of the current level range of the planet you're currently on (for instance, if a planet's level range is 27-31, you may want to leave the planet only with your character being level 33-34) - Hoth and Belsavis (which you visit around levels 40-45) hold a very nasty difficulty spike: normal quests become harder, enemies are more deadly due to the huge jump in level range and class and piloting skills become expensive quickly, bleeding you dry. If you get any experience boost by questing, you may want to unleash them here - Use the planetary commendations to equip your character only. It's very easy to drop gear for your companions by killing mobs alone. Notice also that, however, commendations are very easy to come by (and you get even more if you take part in flashpoints regularly) - Run each flashpoint you are eligible to via the LFG tool only till you get all the equipment you can for your class from the bosses (for reference: http://tor-loot.com/) or you cleared that flashpoint thrice or something. Flashpoints are invaluable to get a nice pack of experience the first time you clear them, but if you run a single fp too many times it becomes pretty much useless
