At last got my salary and bought a sub. First thing I did is login to my Vang and flew to Manaan. The level. The KOTOR's Manaan music playing. I almost cried out of nostalgy. And it needs to be a least a dailies zone.
I'm about to finish the story of my Imperial agent Who's that handsome devil? After that, I think I'll clear the third act of my mercenary story. Then my "obligations" towards YouTube will be lifted and I'll be able to dedicate myself to a main character, a madness Sith sorcerer

Glad to see they're removing skill trees, smartest thing to do for future balancing. Also I'm happy to see I called Yavin 4 coming from the teaser.
Also for subbing, and preordering you get x12 fucking exp till December first You can level purely by doing class quests The guild 10% + 25% exp boosters also work.
[t]http://www.swtor.com/sites/all/files/en/coruscant/main/landers/revan/screenshots/ss-revan-new-levels.jpg[/t] real talk this pic looks like it could be advertising a wow private server with star wars stuff. All of the new media for the xpac looks like that, what happened lol
So Revan is basically a genocidal mad man now who pulls a army out of nowhere again, A+ Story Writing.
So Revan is basically a genocidal mad man now, A+ Story Writing.
Didn't disney decide that everything was non-cannon in EU anyway? might aswell go full retard, nobody even considered SWTOR cannon in the first place :v:
Didn't disney decide that everything was non-cannon in EU anyway? might aswell go full retard, nobody even considered SWTOR cannon in the first place :v:
Yep none of this happened because the Republic only has existed for a 1000 years. There is still the possibility Disney says anything made by EA is canon since they have exclusive rights to make any Star Wars games for the consoles thanks to Disney. (Get ready for Battlefront 5: Coruscant Police edition)
So Revan is basically a genocidal mad man now who pulls a army out of nowhere again, A+ Story Writing.
he was a genocidal mad man since the beginning of swtor though so nothing new other than the fact that they removed his real death animation in the beta for this very moment. Also his cult (now:army) was established in the lore on dromund kaas since the beginning as well.

Then again all these story expansions are repeating the same thing, a new bad out comes out of nowhere and both sides must team up to beat him. They are entirely are limited on what to do with the story since they can't expand on more pathways forcing everything to be linear after finishing your class storyline.
Disney should shut up. The EU has been around for a long time, you can't just throw down money and say NOPE. NO MORE. These thousands of years of history are no longer canon, the universe a lot of you grew up with is not what you thought it was because... well because we can!

I really urge anyone who wants to comment on this to play/watch the story arc they added to the game over the course of this year.

Even more unbelievable is the fact Revan is challenging the Republic who rescued him which spells out the fact he just turned evil so both sides would have common enemy and there wouldn't be a need for a separate storyline. Bioware couldn't write a separate story that involved allegiances, so they just chose to make Revan the flavor of the month bad guy like they did with the Hutt Consortium. Two planets, and Revan will finally die, then its the time for the Return of Malgus/Vitate who turn out to be against both the Empire and Republic in their own separate faction.
the fact that they removed his real death animation in the beta for this very moment.
Wait, what?
Wait, what?
reeeeeal early in the beta builds they changed Revan's animation to have him "explode" instead of fall over. So it would be ambiguous whether he was actually dead or not.
Revan not being canon is what upsets me most.
Boohoo. The games still exist, just because he isn't "Canon" doesn't mean they will go away.
Two planets, and Revan will finally die, then its the time for the Return of Malgus/Vitate who turn out to be against both the Empire and Republic in their own separate faction.
In all fairness, the fact the Sith emperor will be nothing short of the final boss of the entire videogame is kind of obvious, considering what we currently know about his past and long-term plans (if the Sith warrior's and Jedi knight's stories are anything to go by) I'll agree with you about the ... lazyness the writers must have caught up in making Revan an antagonist once again (Personally, I don't have anything against Revan, even if many people, more or less rightfully, consider him a damn Marty Stu. What really bugs me is that in The Old Republic Revan has jumped the slope between heroism and blind villany far too many times to even be slightly beliveable) Oh, and I can understand the decreased budget that doesn't allow to develop further class-related stories. But if they start to cut down even the faction-related story content, I could as well show myself out
Opened some packs with some extra cartel coins i had. Turns out i got some mounts and armor packs worth about 4 million total. Pretty excited about that since I have shitall cash in this game.
I resubbed. Found a great guide for leveling 41-60 http://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/2o6cqb/quick_and_easy_gearing_guide_for_30_level_4160/
Damn I didn't realize early-access already started. I was just going to pre-order...
Huh, the new expansion actually has Class missions, unlike Mekeb.
I wish I'd caught that 12x XP bonus, I think I re-subbed right after it ended.
It ended Tuseday
I have good internet and everyone is expansion hype so I figured I'd try reinstalling SWTOR. Is there anything I can actually do at 50? I've logged into my sniper and ran around Correlia shooting dudes. What is there to do for a Preferred player?
D'awe, HK-51 woves me [t]http://puu.sh/dhoAj/0e65ea631f.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/dhoBr/cf06dd6066.jpg[/t]
Huh, the new expansion actually has Class missions, unlike Mekeb.
IIRC it has one class mission, the rest are shared. Still nice to see though.
They're removing Skill Training costs. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=7848903#edit7848903
and not refunding credits to anyone who paid to retrain skills they lost for some reason in 3.0 as well as the early access costs from 56-60 good job! that'll stick it to those people who pre-ordered your expansion
